'BLOOD MOONS' MESSAGE: LISTEN TO GOD

The pastor whose book, “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs,” explains the biblical links between cosmic phenomena such as eclipses and events on Earth says he’s not sure what will happen in connection to the current series of lunar alignments.

Maybe nothing.

But people need to be watching and listening to God, Pastor Mark Biltz urges.

In an interview with the Fox News Channel’s Lauren Green, he discussed the surge of interest in the “blood moons,” a series of total lunar eclipses that starts early Tuesday morning, as Passover 2014 begins, and continues in the fall of 2014, on the Feast of Tabernacles, and then in 2015 on the same two Jewish high holy days.

April 15 this year is Passover. Oct. 8 will be the Feast of Tabernacles. In 2015, the eclipses also are on Passover, April 4, and Feast of Tabernacles, Sept. 28.

“We are on the verge of witnessing something historic,” Biltz, who discovered the blood moons phenomenon in 2007, has said. “This has happened only eight times over the last 2,000 years! And the last two times these occurred on the Jewish holidays there was a war in the Middle East regarding the nation of Israel. These are patterns and historical facts that cannot be disregarded. The Jewish Talmud records that total lunar eclipses are indicators or omens for the nation of Israel.”

In the Fox News interview, Biltz said the Bible itself links major events to the lunar eclipses. In Genesis, it explains God’s creation of and use of those events.

“We need to be watching when those events happen,” he said.

Over the last few millennia, there have been 62 tetrads, the series of four lunar eclipses, but only eight times have they occurred on biblical holidays, he explained,

In 1967, it happened as Israel captured Jerusalem. And in the 1940s it was when the state of Israel was born. In the late 1400s, it was during the Spanish Inquisition – all events that had significant impact on the Jewish people.

The last of the four eclipses, late in 2015, will be seen in Jerusalem and also will be a “supermoon,” or a sighting of the moon when it is at its closest point to earth, he said.

The Old Testament prophet Joel, Biltz noted, talked about the moon turning to blood in connection with God judging nations that are trying to divide the land of Israel.

“I don’t think it is the end of the world at all,” Biltz said. “I do believe this is signaling.”

Reporting on the first of the coming full lunar eclipses, which will occur early Tuesday morning for most of the United States, one host said: “So it’s a little eerie. There’s a lot of speculation around it. It happens after 3 a.m. Eastern Time this morning. It will be cloudy on the East Coast, so may the world doesn’t end for us. But in the middle of the country, it is going to be.”

Another host said: “That’s the only thing I obtained from that piece, that the world may end tonight.”

A New York Daily News report interviewed Texas Cornerstone Church founder Pastor John Hagee.

He has written “Four Blood Moons,” warning he belieives the celestial signs are evidence of a future “world-shaking event.”

In the report, he pointrd to Acts 2:19-20, which says: “And I will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.”

While NASA predicts there will be several tetrads in the 21st century, North Americans will have the best view of the first, beginning early Tuesday.

“The most unique thing about the 2014-2015 tetrad is that all of them are visible for all or parts of the USA,” NASA eclipse expert Fred Espenak told CNN.

Biltz said the convergence with biblical holy days is special.

Biltz discovered what has become the “blood moon phenomenon” back in 2007, researching the correlation between when blood moons fell on feast days and key historical world events. He found the divine link between prophecy, heavenly signs, historical events and when they intersect.

“Blood Moons” was released nationwide March 18, and has consistently been one of the top books sold on Amazon.com. A full-length documentary produced by WND Films and featuring Biltz was also released the same day.

Biltz said that to understand the meaning, it’s important to know the seasons, feasts and calendar of the Lord.

Biltz, founder of El Shaddai Ministries, is a well-known commentator on the feasts of the Lord who has spoken in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and throughout the United States.

When he appeared on “The Jim Bakker Show,” host Jim Bakker called Biltz’ work “the most important book of the times.”

Biltz spent two-days recording interviews with Lori and Jim Bakker at their Christian retreat in Branson, Mo.

Bakker said the broadcasts would tell “the definitive story of the impending blood moons by the man who discovered the astronomical relationship behind the prophecy, heavenly signs and when they intersect.”

And here’s a map of the regions of the U.S. that could have the best view:
