The Black Wind of Death

Ancient Ritual Bath near Temple Mount to be Back in Use

MK Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid), announced to the Knesset today (Thursday) that at last night’s meeting of the Committee on the Status of Women, during adiscussion of the ritual baths in Israel, it was decided that an ancient mikve near the TempleMount would be restored for use so that women could ascend theTemple Mount in ritual purity.

Ministry of Religious Affairs Chairman, Elhanan Glatt, revealed during the meeting that clear instructions had been given to the female bath attendants not to question women who visit the mikve as to their personal status.

“If a woman wants to enter the mikve in order to go up the Temple Mount, and even if there may be a halachic (Jewish law) issue involved, it is not within an attendant’s purview to prevent it,” Glatt stated.

Some ritual baths permit only married Jewish women to immerse themselves, in accordance with the standard practice in many modern-day Jewish communities. Other communities allow unmarried women to immerse as well.

The question of Jewish ascension to the Temple Mount continues to be controversial. The Temple Mount is the holiest place on earth according to Jewish tradition, and was the site of the First and Second Temples. As such, some rabbis say Jews should be encouraged to visit and pray at the holy site.

However, other rabbis say that Jews should not enter the Temple Mount until ancient practices have been brought back that would ensure they are in a state of ritual purity before stepping foot on the holy site.

In addition, today the Temple Mount is home to the Al-Aqsa mosque, and many Muslim worshipers and Arab leaders have expressed vehement opposition to Jews’ visits to the site, and have even attacked Jews who come to the area.

Have explorers in Ecuador found ‘Lost City of Giants'?

Amongst these tools are some that would be extremely difficult for a normal size human being to use in any practical fashion, which has led Fenton to suspect that this is one of the legendary lost cities of the giants, well known in local Ecuadorian legends about the Amazonian area.

Such places generate great fear among the members of today’s jungle tribes as they are believed to be protected either by spirit guardians or by beings not of this world. Local legends pertain to giant humans who lived in cities that have become forgotten in the pages of history. In fact bones of giant people have been found in caves in the area – as well as in other parts of Ecuador.

This particular region was said to be a great meeting place of the tribes, in fact tribes from as far away as Brazil travelled to this location due to beliefs about its long standing importance and strong energetic vibration. The team has so far identified several large hills near to the validated pyramid structure, each of them equal size to the supposed pyramid. It is possible that each of these hills is a pyramid yet to be uncovered. This would make for a very significant sized city and pyramid complex.Credit to Raiders News Update

Last year, a team of explorers and researchers discovered what they believed to be an ancient pyramid complex in a remote area of the Ecuador Amazonian jungle, one not known to the general public internationally or even within the country. Bruce Fenton, author and researcher, has completed an analysis of the findings, and believes the complex may be the ‘Lost City of the Giants’. At the discovered site there is one extremely large pyramidal type structure of approximately 80 metres square base and 80 metres height, with steeply inclined walls. This structure is made up of irregular shaped large cut stone blocks, each currently calculated to be approximately 2 tonnes in weight; many hundreds of such blocks make up the walls of the building. The top appears to be a flat area suspected to have been a platform used by priests in either ceremonies or possibly sacrifices. Scattered around the area are a great many artefacts of stone and pottery.

Many of these objects appear to be stone tools that could have been used either in mining or refining some kind of metal ore. The style of the buildings and the objects found all suggest an unknown pre-Inca culture. However, further investigation is needed to establish the facts, which Fenton and a team plan to conduct in the near future.

It is possible that each of these hills is a pyramid yet to be uncovered.

This would make for a very significant sized city and pyramid complex. An international team of experts of ancient megalithic sites and pyramid technologies are planning further expeditions to the site to place it accurately on a map and to produce a one hour documentary to record the amazing features of this intriguing site. Is There Anything Left to Fight For?

Less than 10% of Americans stand up to tyranny on a daily basis. I estimate that about half of the country is acting like they are dumber than a box of rocks and are content to simply live in ignorant bliss for as long as it is possible to do so. What about the rest of us? For those who know what is at stake and refuse to do anything, are condemning our children to live in a hellish nightmare for which they will someday hate us for.

What I can understand is that many Americans are unwilling to stand up to tyranny and do what’s right so long as they have their basic needs provided for. I think many parents are forgetting one thing, what about your children’s basic needs and their futures? If you will not fight for yourself, would you not at least fight for your children?

American Parents Have Failed Their Children
As an American father, I am part of a select group who has failed in his duty as a parent. Our primary responsibility, as parents, is to protect our children from harm and to provide for their future. On both accounts American parents, as a group, have failed miserably in fulfilling these responsibilities to our children. We have left our children vulnerable to the unfolding tyranny that is sweeping our country.

Most of us have gone along to get along. Many of us have seen the problems that have overtaken our country and we have consciously chosen to ignore these problems. And now, our children are paying a steep price for our apathy and ignorance. I am left wondering if our children are not worth fighting for?

My soon-to-be teenager asked me the other day if there was really an Illuminati that ran the world. Interestingly, I have never used that term in describing the banksters that have hijacked our government, so I knew that he did not hear that term from me. As it turned out, my son’s curiosity comes from the questions that many of his peers are asking at school. Young people’s interest in the Illuminati and their hand signals is a trendy thing being discussed today, and I can tell you that most of our children reject what they perceive to be the Illuminati. But more importantly, many of our children are rejecting the values of the adults in their lives because many children do not view adults as the guardians of their world as I once viewed my parents when I was growing up. They often see today’s adults as sell-outs to a world that offers no hope. The hidden message behind my son’s question is centered around his curiosity as to whether his dad is fighting against bad people that will do bad things to children when they grown up. One day, I expect my adult son to ask me what I did in the war against tyranny? What will you tell your children when they ask you the same question?

My intent is not to demean any person’s parenting skills, but to encourage all of us to allow our children to become a rallying point in our struggle against the banksters who have hijacked our government and are the cause of so much misery. By now, many parents reading these words, have their backs up and are thinking how dare I impugn their dedication to their children? To you parents, I would say that the numbers reflecting the desperation of our children’s futures do not lie. And our children would be correct in condemning us for our inaction against tyranny.

One of my undergraduate students recently told me that we (the adults) have left his generation a pile of crap to live in. He has a point, and as the years went by America, we barely paid attention to Watergate, the Iran Contra Hearings, numerous rigged elections, Benghazi, Fast and Furious and the false flag reasons given for the wars of occupation that we are fighting in the Middle East.

So long as we had plenty of food to eat and beer to sip on as we watched the NFL, The Voice, Dancing with the Stars, etc, we were content. The government, at the behest of the banksters proceeded to steal our country, its finances and our political freedoms. The economic future for our young people was stolen out right out from under our noses. When I was my son’s age, the US was number one in the world in civil liberties, today we are 49th. God help us as we slide into the abyss of Obamacare. And yet, many of us want to believe George W. Bush when he said “they hate us for our freedoms”.

The sad thing is that it did not have to be this way. There was a time, that if we would have spoken up and risen up in unison, we could have turned back what is happening today. But it was easier to remain compliant and passive so long as we were comfortable.
Is There Anything Worth Fighting For?
I freely confess, that my present efforts in fighting against tyranny are largely motivated by guilt because each night as I look at my son dutifully doing his homework, I wonder if his efforts will make much of a difference with regard to the quality of his future. I feel horribly guilty because I have not done more to fight against the bad people have that robbed our country of its sovereignty, prosperity and liberty. Every time I had an opportunity to wake up and fight against tyranny, I chose to ignore what I was seeing and I continued in the pursuit of my dreams.

Our children’s future is about the only thing left to fight for as we have lost nearly everything else. We are 20th in the world, and slipping, in gross salary. We are 50th in longevity and quickly declining. By any measure our education system is substandard and with the introduction of the unproven and untried Common Core, it will continue to decline. Our healthcare is horrendous and with Obamacare coming “online”, things are only going to get worse. For the Baby Boomers, our fate is sealed. The bankers are coming after our pensions and our bank accounts. We will be denied reasonable medical coverage under Obamacare and we will continue to see our lifespans diminish. For us, our lives as we have known them, are nearly over. But what about our children?

The Hopelessness and Desperation We’re Leaving Our Children

They see what they are inheriting.

Don’t think that our children do not see the duplicity of the lives that we lead. We preach morality and the value of hard work and then remain subservient to a corrupt group of bankers. Our children know more about the corruption in our world, than their parents. The young people do not tune out the demonic corruption by using the defense mechanism of denial as it manifests itself in cognitive dissonance. Most of our children see the stark, naked truth of the world they are going to inherit and many want no part of this Brave New World. Some are coping and adjusting, but many are not. And the failure of so many young people to adapt to what they are going to have deal with is the source of my guilt. We just did not do enough.

Increasingly for our young people, the world is not a safe place. In many areas of the country, suicide has replaced car accidents as the leading cause of death.
There are an estimated 8-25 attempted suicides for each suicide death. Therefore, the suicide rate is only a small representation of the hopelessness being experienced by the younger generation.

Since 1968, suicides for people aged 15-24 have risen over 300%. Suicide in now the second leading cause of death in the United States. In Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many countries of Western Europe. Russia, Vietnam and India are experiencing similar increases.

What is the number one reason why teens are killing themselves? The straightforward and simple answer is that they have a foreboding sense of hopelessness. Life is bleak and meaningless and all their cell phones, IPADs and X-Box games cannot fill the void of emptiness. Hopelessness is the number one predictor of suicide.

Traditionally, when teens grow into adulthood, they begin to learn that they have a measure of control over their life. Through trial-and-error, teens gain knowledge and acquire the tools necessary to solve their problems in the best way that they are able. In the past, when we felt hopeless, we pulled through our crises with the resources we had at our disposal and with the support from friends and family. Increasingly, that support has all but eroded.

Today, where do the influences that shape our children’s lives come from? A Gallup Poll from the late 1950′s asked teens to rate their biggest influences on their attitudes and lives and they listed these variables in the following order:

1. Parents 2. Church 3. Teachers 4. Peers 5. Media

Fifty years later, this same survey produced the following results:

1 & 2. Peers and media were in a virtual tie

3. Parents 4. Teachers 5. Church

(information derived from a Conference Presentation on child safety sponsored by Arizona State in 2006).

The above data speaks to the fact that teens are not receiving the guidance that they require from their parents. For teenagers, their overwhelming sense of hopelessness is enough to cause them to take their own lives. Most teens who survive suicide attempts say that they tried to kill themselves because they were trying to escape a situation that seemed impossible to deal with, or they were trying to escape overwhelming feelings like rejection, guilt, anger, or sadness in which they lacked any significant degree of control. It is easy to blame the banksters and corrupt politicians, but we have been passive recipients in our demise. We have met the enemy and he is us.

Our children’s pervasive sense of hopelessness is not confined to the United States. This is an international phenomenon. Globalism, in its present form, is evil. Our children may not be able to name purveyors of this movement by name (e.g. Rockefeller, Brzezinski, Turner, Gates, Soros, etc.), but they see the manifestation of the tyranny sweeping the planet and they do not want any part of it.

Parents Are the Great Equalizer

Common Core has made a guinea pig out of all students for this untested, untried educational program.

Many children have lost hope because they see their parents disengaged and not fighting for their future. For example, if you are a Christian family and you see that DHS has labeled Christians as domestic terrorists, your children need to see you standing up to this injustice. Take the issue to the sanctuary of your church. If your Pastor is compromised by ministering on behalf of a tax-exempt church, change churches. If parents have concerns about Common Core, show up in large numbers to school boards or your state department of education and protest. In Arizona, the outcry from parents has been enough that the state changed the name of Common Core to College Readiness.

Tyranny Watch: Obamacare Continues to Torpedo

BEAST TECH Part Number 8 FRIENDS OF THE NWO

It has been postulated what the number “322” under the skull and crossed bones of the Order’s logo or official emblem means. Since the organization was imported from Germany in 1832 as the second chapter of a German order, the “32” denotes the year of origination and the following “2” indicates that it is the second chapter of the organization.

Continuing from our previous entry (Part 7), a more likely theory is that “the Order is descended from a Greek fraternal society dating back to Demosthenes in 322 BC.… Bones records are dated by adding 322 [years] to the current year, i.e., records originating in 1950 are dated Anno Demostheni 2272”.
Inside the Order there are many other numbers and symbols that appear beside the names of the members in the “Catalogue” (or membership list). Although we don’t know for sure, Sutton makes some interesting speculations regarding their possible meaning. The Catalogue contains the birth names of the members, but Sutton tells us: “Entry into the Order is accompanied by an elaborate ritual and no doubt psychological conditioning. For example: Immediately on entering Bones the neophyte’s name is changed. He is no longer known by his name as it appears in the college catalogue but like a monk or Knight of Malta or St. John, becomes Knight so-and-so. The old Knights are then known as Patriarch so-and-so. The outside world are known as Gentiles and vandals.”

In the century and a half years since the Order was founded, active membership has evolved into a core group of perhaps twenty to thirty families, according to Sutton:

It seems that active members have enough influence to push their sons and relatives into the Order, and there is significant intermarriage among the families. These families fall into two major groups.
First, we find old line American families who arrived on the East Coast in the 1600s, e.g., Whitney, Lord, Phelps, Wadsworth, Allen, Bundy, Adams, and so on.
Second, we find families who acquired wealth in the last 100 years, sent their sons to Yale, and in time became almost old line families, e.g., Harriman, Rockefeller, Payne, Davison.… In the last 150 years, a few families in the Order have gained enormous influence in society and the world. (Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”)
Although the “old line” families used to look down their blueblood noses at the nouveau riche, that is not so much the case anymore. They have discovered it takes money to maintain their power—not just the name—so if they couldn’t make it on their own, they “married” it into the family. But whatever it takes, you maintain the power at all costs.
The Order has penetrated every segment of American society, e.g., the White House, legislatures, political parties, foundations (charitable and otherwise), think tanks, policy groups, education, media, publishing, banking, business, industry, commerce, and even churches. In many cases, the Order is the founder of these organizations. It determines the goals and objectives, as well as the methods for achieving them, then usually installs the first president, chairman, or CEO and/or CFO. This explains why so many such organizations are based on the premise of secular humanism. Their roots can be traced directly back to active members of the Order.
Since it seems the most unlikely, let’s first take a look at the connection of the Order to the church. Although the percentage has declined in recent years, about two percent of the Order is in the church—all Protestant denominations.

A key penetration is the Union Theological Seminary, affiliated with Columbia University in New York. This Seminary, a past subject of investigation for Communist infiltration, has close links to the Order. Henry Sloane Coffin (1897) as Professor of Practical Theology at Union from 1904 to 1926 and President of Union Theological Seminary, also known as the “Red Seminary,” from 1926 to 1945. Union has such a wide interpretation of religious activity that it has, or used to have, an Atheists Club for its students.
Henry Sloane Coffin, Jr. (1949) was one of the Boston Five indicted on federal conspiracy charges.
And this is only part of the Order’s penetration into the church. (Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”)
Mr. Sutton expands on the connection between the Order and the other areas, i.e., the law, communications, industry, the Federal Reserve/banking, and the White House/politics/government.
The Law
The major establishment law firms in New York are saturated with the Order.
In particular, Lord, Day, and Lord, dominated by the Lord family already discussed; also, Simpson, Thatcher, and Bartlett, especially the Thatcher family; David, Polk, Wardwell, and Debevoise, Plimpton, the Rockefeller family law firm.
            Communications
There has been a significant penetration into communications. Some examples:
  • Henry Luce of Time-Life is in the Order.
  • So was William Buckley (’50) of National Review.
  • And Alfred Cowles (’31), president of Cowles Communications, Des Moines Register, Minneapolis Star
  • And Emmert Bates (’32) of Litton Educational Systems, plus
  • Richard Ely Danielson (’07) of Atlantic Monthly
  • Russell Wheeler Davenport (’23), Fortune
  • John Chipman Farrar (’18) of Farrar, Strauss, the publishers.
The most prestigious award in journalism is a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University. Over 300 were granted from 1937 to 1968. The FIRST director of the Nieman Fund was member Archibald McLeash.
            Industry
The oil companies have their links to the Order. Members Percy, Rockefeller, the Paynes, the Pratts, all link to Standard Oil. Shell Oil, Creole Petroleum, and Socony Vacuum also link. A wide variety of manufacturing firms have members in the Order, from the Donnelly family in Chicago (printers of The Official Airline Guide and other references); lumber companies like Weyerhauser, who is also a Trilateralist; Dresser Industries, and so on.
            The Federal Reserve System
A dozen members can be linked to the Federal Reserve, but one appointment is noteworthy, Pierre Jay (’92), whose only claim to fame in 1913 was to run a private school and be an obscure vice president of Manhattan Bank, yet he became first chairman of the New York Federal Reserve, the really significant Federal Reserve.
The White House, Politics, and Government
This is the area where the Order has made headway, with names like Taft, Bush, Stimson, Chafee, Lovett, Whitney, Bundy, and so on. (Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”)
Although we are not yet to our discussion of the CFR and TLC, we briefly address them here as they relate to Skull & Bones Chapter 322.
Though not looking for a spotlight on their discussions and activities, the CFR and TLC are not secret organizations in the sense that the Illuminati and Skull & Bones are secret. Their membership rosters are available to anyone who asks, and they are making the dates and locations of their meetings available to the media, though the media is not permitted inside to witness the activities, nor are members permitted to give interviews revealing what has occurred at the meetings (as spelled out in their bylaws).
“The Order is represented in these organizations, but does not always dominate. David Rockefeller, former chairman of the CFR, is not a member of the Order” (Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”), but the family was represented in the Order by Percy Rockefeller; however, a later CFR chairman, Winston Lord, is a member of Bones.

Visualize three concentric circles, consisting of the inner core, the inner circle, and the outer circle. The outer circle is made up of large, open organizations (e.g., CFR or TLC) some of whose memberships are made up of Bones members. The inner circle is made up of one or more secret societies, such as Chapter 322. The inner core is believed to be a secret society within the Order, a decision-making core. As yet, the existence of this inner core cannot be documented, but evidence points to its existence. Sutton even believes that he could identify the chairman.

The CFR is the largest organization in the outer circle, with about twenty-nine hundred members at any one time (as many as the Order in its entire history). The TLC has 325 members worldwide, but only about eighty in the United States. Other groups in the outer circle include the Pilgrim Society, the Atlantic Council, the Bilderbergers, and the Bohemian Club (of San Francisco). As an example of the number of Bones members who are also members of the CFR, following are just the Bonesmen whose last names began with the letter “B”: “Jonathan Bingham (congressman); William F. Buckley (editor, National Review and the Order’s house conservative); McGeorge Bundy (foundation executive); William Bundy (Central Intelligence Agency); George Herbert Walker Bush ([former] president of the United States)” (Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”).
The Trilateral Commission was founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller, who was not a member of the Order. The same appears to be true of many TLC members; however, if you investigate the family tree, you will find members of the Order sometimes as close as one generation removed, and in other cases in the family line in great numbers. Sutton points out that the TLC is not a conspiracy, it just doesn’t publish its activities too widely, as the general populace probably wouldn’t appreciate what it is planning for us behind closed doors.

Sutton reports that he “has openly debated with George Franklin, Jr., coordinator of the Trilateral Commission, on the radio. Mr. Franklin did show a rather ill-concealed dislike for the assault on his pet global New World Order—and made the mistake of attempting to disguise this objective.” Where the TLC is concerned, even though David Rockefeller is not a Bones member, keep these facts in mind: J. Richardson Dilworth, chief financial and administrative officer for the Rockefeller Family Associates, is a member of the Order, as was Percy Rockefeller (1900). And the TLC’s purposes, as portrayed in its own literature, are almost identical to those of the Order.

So far as Sutton can determine, William F. Buckley was the only member of both the Order and the Bilderbergers. The Pilgrim Society has no current Bones members, but the family names of past members are found, i.e., Aldrich and Pratt.
We have discussed the guarantees of success for Bones members, as well as the intermarriages to consolidate the power, wealth, and influence of the families. Now, we will look at the chain of influence.

“A chain of influence spread over many years guarantees continuity and must be extraordinarily impressive to any new initiate who doubts the power of the Order” (Cybrarian, “The Germanic Order of Skull and Bones,” CIAgents, last accessed December 5, 2010). “Members of the Order are to be found in every segment of society [or our existence]: in education, foundations, politics, government, industry, law, and finance. Consequently, at any time the Order can tap influence in any area of society.… [The major occupations, however, are in] law, education, business, finance, and industry” (emphasis added; Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”). Percentages of Bones members in each area follows: 18 percent, law; 16 percent, education; 16 percent, business; 15 percent, finance; 12 percent, industry. The remaining 23 percent is scattered among all remaining occupations.

Sutton makes a good case for the interference of the Order in promoting wars and conflict in order to maintain and increase its world control: “If we can show that the Order has artificially encouraged and developed both revolutionary Marxism andnational socialism while retaining some control over the nature and degree of the conflict, then it follows the Order will be able to determine the evolution and nature of the New World Order” (emphasis added; Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”).

Sutton makes the above statement while documenting a link between the Union Bank and support for the Nazis during World War II. He traced the flow of money through a long trail that attempted to hide its ultimate destination, and proved the involvement of at least eight men, four of whom were members of the Order (including Prescott Bush, father of President George H. W. Bush) and two of whom were Nazis.

As we conclude this section on the Skull & Bones, Brotherhood of Death, we want to discuss the spiritual aspects of the Order. Sutton tells us: “What happens in the initiation process is essentially a variation of brainwashing or encounter group processes. Knights, through heavy peer pressure, become Patriarchs prepared for a life of the exercise of power and continuation of this process into future generations. In brief, the ritual is designed to mold establishment zombies, to ensure continuation of power in the hands of a small select group from one generation to another. But beyond this ritual are aspects notably satanic.”

We can make at least three definite statements about links between the Order and satanic beliefs. First, photographic evidence documents the satanic device (as well as the name) of the skull and crossed bones. Second, there is a link to satanic symbolism. Third, the link between the Order and the New World Order has been well documented in such books as Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow by Constance Cumbey.

The skull and crossed bones is not just a logo or printed artwork; photographs exist that show the use of actual skulls and bones in the ceremonies of the Order. According to other evidence, at least three sets of skulls and other assorted human bones are kept within the Bones Temple on the Yale campus. At best, that makes the members grave robbers. But using these bones for ceremonial purposes shows absolutely no respect for the dead, and is a blatantly satanic activity.

Cumbey identified and linked several organizations to the Order and its objectives. She identified Benjamin Creme and the Tara Center as a New Age phenomenon, then linked Creme to the Unity and Unitarian churches. Sutton continued the chain by pointing out the Order’s longstanding and significant link to these churches.

“Former president William Taft, whose father co-founded The Order, was President of the Unitarian Association in his time. Cumbey identifies the link between Hitler and the New Age movement and former research by this author linked The Order to the founding and growth of Naziism.… Cumbey states that the New Age movement plans to bring about a New World Order ‘which will be a synthesis between the U.S.S.R., Great Britain, and the United States’” (Antony Sutton, “America’s Secret Establishment”). Later information indicates that it will come closer to encompassing the entire world, i.e., both industrialized nations and third-world countries.

“Finally, Cumbey points out that the anti-Christ and satanic aspects are woven into the cult of the New Age movement”. The goals and activities of the Skull & Bones and its leaders’ plans for our future are undoubtedly satanically inspired.
As we move on to investigate the groups that endeavor to control world governments, wars, etc., through control of finances, we will discuss US money and its emblems. That means going back into the discussion of the Illuminati and Freemasonry, as they are at the root of most of these satanic symbols.

Why Is An Epidemic Of Thievery Sweeping America?

Tide

Desperate people do desperate things, and it appears that Americans are rapidly becoming a lot more desperate.  An epidemic of thievery is sweeping across America, and authorities are not quite sure what to make of it.  Down in Texas, cattle thieves can get up to $1,500 per head of cattle, and cattle rustling was up nearly 40 percent last year.  As you will read about below, cargo hijacking is becoming much more sophisticated, and it is being estimated that losses from cargo thefts will total about $216 million this year alone.  And for some reason, Tide laundry detergent has become a very hot commodity among common criminals all across America.  In fact, it is being reported that some grocery stores are "losing $10,000 to $15,000 a month" as a result of Tide thefts.  So why is all of this happening?  Well, as I have written about previously, crime is on the rise in the United States, and poverty is absolutely exploding.
In fact, according to the latest numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau, 49.2 percent of all Americans are receiving benefits from at least one government program each month.  Over the past five years, we have seen an unprecedented rise in the number of people that cannot take care of themselves without help from the government.  Millions upon millions of Americans that have been forced into poverty are becoming increasingly angry, frustrated and desperate.  And what we are watching right now is only just the beginning - all of this is going to get a whole lot worse.
When people think of the "social decay" that is happening to America, most of the time Texas and Oklahoma would not be the first places that come to mind.  But according to NPR, there was nearly a 40 percent rise in the theft of cows and horses down in that area of the country last year...
Ranchers saw a sharp jump in cattle rustling last year in Texas and Oklahoma. Over 10,000 cows and horses were reported missing or stolen. That’s an almost 40 percent increase from the year before. It’s a trend that’s surprised some in law enforcement.
And this is happening even though the penalties for cattle rustling have gotten much stronger...
Penalties against rustlers were toughened by Texas lawmakers in 2009. Now, the crime could put you in prison for up to 10 years. But ironically more and more cattle have gone missing or stolen since that law was passed.
Another trend that is baffling law enforcement authorities is the huge wave of cargo hijackings that they have been seeing.  According to a recent CBS News article, cargo thefts are becoming a lot more elaborate these days...
To steal huge shipments of valuable cargo, thieves are turning to a deceptively simple tactic: They pose as truckers, load the freight onto their own tractor-trailers and drive away with it.
It’s an increasingly common form of commercial identity theft that has allowed con men to make off each year with millions of dollars in merchandise, often food and beverages. And experts say the practice is growing so rapidly that it will soon become the most common way to steal freight.
You may not think that stealing truckloads of walnuts or cheese is a big deal, but the truth is that the dollar values of some of these thefts are absolutely staggering...
News reports from across the country recount just a few of the thefts: 80,000 pounds of walnuts worth $300,000 in California, $200,000 of Muenster cheese in Wisconsin, rib-eye steaks valued at $82,000 inTexas, $25,000 pounds of king crab worth $400,000 in California.
And this is not just happening in a few isolated locations.  We are literally seeing an epidemic of cargo theft that stretches from coast to coast...
Although cargo thieves prey on companies across the nation, the hot spots are places with shipping ports or rail hubs. California leads the nation. Large numbers of thefts have also been reported in Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
Perhaps most fascinating of all is the wave of Tide thefts that is sweeping the nation.  The following is an excerpt from a New York Magazine article from earlier this year...
The call that came in from a local Safeway one day in March 2011 was unlike any the Organized Retail Crime Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department had fielded before. The grocery store, located in suburban Bowie, Maryland, had been robbed repeatedly. But in every incident the only products taken were bottles—many, many bottles—of the liquid laundry detergent Tide. “They were losing $10,000 to $15,000 a month, with people just taking it off the shelves,” recalls Sergeant Aubrey Thompson, who heads the team. When Thompson and his officers arrived to investigate, they stumbled onto another apparent Tide theft in progress and busted two men who’d piled 100 or so of the bright-orange jugs into their Honda. The next day, Thompson returned to the store’s parking lot to tape a television interview about the crimes. A different robber took advantage of the distraction to make off with twenty more bottles.
So why are criminals so interested in Tide detergent?
Well, apparently it is heavily used as currency in the drug trade...
Southern California authorities say it’s a dirty business and a bizarre trend – drug users trading Tide detergent for crack.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says it’s a nationwide problem – people are stealing the popular but expensive detergent and trading it for marijuana and crack cocaine.
San Bernardino police Sgt. Travis Walker says detectives raiding dope houses in recent years were puzzled when they found lots of Tide. Turns out it wasn’t being used to make drugs but to buy them.
We live at a time when an increasing number of Americans will do just about anything for money.
Down in Florida, one mother was so desperate for money that she was actually prostituting her three teenage daughters.  Two of them were under the age of 18...
A St. Cloud mother was picked up Thursday on charges of serving as her three teenage daughters' madam in a West U.S. Highway 192 prostitution ring, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
At 2:30 p.m., Paula Howard flagged down an undercover detective acting as a "John" in front of a bus stop and arranged for him to have sex with one of her girls, ages 16, 17, and 18, an arrest record states.
The daughter agreed to perform the act for $20 and hopped into the car, telling the detective, "Oh yea. That's my family, but don't even worry about it. They know what I do," the report states.
But haven't you heard?
Everything is just fine in America.  Barack Obama and the mainstream media keep telling us that over and over, so it must be true.
Right?
I think that we got a glimpse into the true condition of America last month when a "technical glitch" caused the system that processes food stamp card payments to malfunction for a couple of hours.  A Time Magazine article described what happened at one Wal-Mart in Louisiana...
Customers cleared shelves and police were called in to control crowds taking advantage of suddenly unlimited spending allowed on their Electronic Benefits Transfer cards, which are issued to recipients of government food stamps. Spending limits on the cards were reportedly disabled for about two hours.
When a store in Springhill, La., announced over the loudspeaker that the glitch was fixed, shoppers simply abandoned loaded carts, according to Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd.
And similar "mini-riots" happened in a bunch of other locations as well.
For example, customers at one Wal-Mart in Mississippi just started taking groceries out of the store that they hadn't paid for when their food stamp cards were not accepted...
Customers staged a disturbance then walked out of a Mississippi Walmart store with groceries that hadn’t been paid for Saturday night after a computer glitch left them unable to use their food stamp cards.
People in 17 states found themselves unable to buy groceries with their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program cards after a routine check by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a temporary system failure.
Shortly after the mini-riot, managers decided to temporarily close the store, citing customer safety.
Keep in mind that all of this was caused by a "technical glitch" that only lasted for a few hours.
What would happen if there was a problem that lasted for much longer?
That is a sobering thing to think about.
And as I wrote about recently, all 47 million Americans on food stamps just had their benefits reduced on November 1st.  This is causing food banks all across the country to brace for a huge influx of needy people...
Food banks across the country, stretched thin in the aftermath of the recession, are bracing for more people coming through their doors in the wake of cuts to the federal food stamp program.
Food stamp benefits to 47 million Americans were cut starting Friday as a temporary boost to the federal program comes to an end without new funding from a deadlocked Congress.
Under the program, known formally as the Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program, or SNAP, a family of four that gets $668 per month in benefits will find that amount cut by $36.
In fact, the president of the Food Bank for New York City says that members of her organization "are panicking"...
As president of the Food Bank for New York City, Margaret Purvis expects those cuts will draw even more people to organizations that already provide 400,000 meals a day to hungry city folks.
"Our members are panicking," she said as time wound down before the benefit decreases go into effect. "We're telling everyone to make sure that you are prepared for longer lines."
Purvis also told Salon.com that "when people cannot afford to eat food" it has the potential to start "riots"...
“If you look across the world, riots always begin typically the same way: when people cannot afford to eat food,” Margarette Purvis, the president and CEO of the Food Bank for New York City, told Salon Monday. Purvis said that the looming cut would mean about 76 million meals “that will no longer be on the plates of the poorest families” in NYC alone – a figure that outstrips the total number of meals distributed each year by the Food Bank for New York City, the largest food bank in the country. “There will be an immediate impact,” she said.
So will we see riots as a result of these food stamp cuts?
No, I do not believe that we will see riots yet.
But the volcano of anger, frustration and desperation that is simmering just below the surface of this country continues to get hotter.
Someday it will explode.
What will you do when that happens?

Holiday Spending “Hopes” Crumble As Income Gains Stagnate
But this year was supposed to be different… Early-year prospects for a revival in consumer spending quickly faded in the wake of the lagged impact of the $148 billion tax hike that began the year. As Bloomberg’s Joe Brusuelas notes in the following brief interview, combined with a slower pace of hiring and sluggish wage growth, the result will probably be another in a string of disappointing holiday shopping seasons. It is increasingly doubtful that consumers have the wherewithal to meet the ambitious National Retail Federation forecast for a 3.9% increase in holiday spending to $602.1 billion. Brusuelas believes a 2 to 2.5% increases appears closer to the mark given the economic and policy challenges in place this year.
Via Bloomberg Briefs,
First, starting Nov. 1 one-sixth, or about 48 million, of individuals receiving food stamps will see a net loss of almost $16 billion in transfer payments due to cuts in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

You can almost feel it in the fall air (unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere). The froth and foam on markets of all shapes and sizes all over the world. It is an exhilarating feeling, and the pundits who populate the media outlets are bubbling over with it. There is nothing like a rising market to help lift our mood. Unless of course, as Prof. Kindleberger famously cautioned (see below), we are not participating in that rising market. Then we feel like losers. But what if the rising market is … a bubble? Are we smart enough to ride and then step aside before it bursts? Research says we all think that we are, yet we rarely demonstrate the actual ability.

Oil Prices Just Hit A 4-Month Low
The price of oil slipped closer to $94 a barrel Monday after falling more than 7 percent in the past month on ample supplies and muted demand.
By early afternoon in Europe, benchmark U.S. crude for December delivery was down 31 cents to $94.30 in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract dropped $1.77 to a four-month low of $94.61 on Friday.

Senate advances gay rights legislation

The Senate has advanced a bill to expand workplace protections for gay, lesbian and transgender Americans, marking the chamber’s first vote on the issue in more than 15 years.

The procedural vote, which required the support of 60 senators, was 61-30. The measure was supported by seven Republicans and by all Democrats who were present for the vote.

The Senate hasn't voted on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) since 1996, when it failed by just a single vote. But, after surviving Monday night’s hurdle, the current version of the bill is poised for final Senate approval later this week, although it currently appears to have no future in the House.

The legislation would go beyond a similar bill the Senate previously rejected, which would have banned job discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. The current version adds “gender identity” as a protected status. The bill would also exempt religious institutions, religious-affiliated colleges and schools, and the U.S. military.

On Monday morning, Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., announced his support for ENDA, becoming its key 60th supporter. The other Republicans backing the measure were Sens. Rob Portman, R-Ohio., Pat Toomey, R-Pa., Mark Kirk, R-Ill., Susan Collins, R-Maine and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah. GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska had announced support for the bill but was not present for the vote.

Speaking on the Senate floor for the first time since his stroke in January of 2012, Kirk - one of the bill's co-sponsors - said, “I’ve been silent for two years due to a stroke – a little under two years ago,” but he said that he was speaking “because I believe so passionately in enacting the ENDA statute.”

No senators came to the floor on Monday to speak in opposition to the bill.

Despite the expected passage in the Senate, it likely will be blocked by the GOP-led House.

A spokesman for Republican House Speaker John Boehner said Monday that he opposes the legislation.

"The speaker believes this legislation will increase frivolous litigation and cost American jobs, especially small business jobs,” said spokesman Michael Steel.

But Democrats said that Boehner would further hurt the GOP with young and more socially moderate voters if he refuses to allow a vote on the bill.

"Next year Americans will have the opportunity to replace House Republicans who stand in the way of common sense - and elect Democrats who will stand up for the right of all Americans to do their jobs without fear of being fired because of who they love," Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Steve Israel said after the vote.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., the first openly gay or lesbian person to be elected to the U.S. Senate, pushed for the legislation on Monday after noting her own historic election.

"It's about fairness, about whether lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans deserve to be treated just like their family members, their friends, their neighbors, and fellow workers," Baldwin said.

“I didn't run to make history," she added. "I ran to make a difference, a difference that would give everyone a fair shot at achieving their dreams. I couldn't be more proud of the bipartisan effort to make a difference with the Employment Non-Discrimination Act."
