CHINA is on a collision course with the US this week

CHINA is on a collision course with the US over a bitter territorial dispute that has sparked fears of a new global war breaking out THIS WEEK.

A long-running legal battle between China and the Philippines will conclude on Tuesday, July 12, when the Hague's Permanent Court of Arbitration delivers its verdict over the so-called "Nine-Dash Line" – a key shipping route in the South China Sea.

The decision comes three years after the Philippines brought its case to tribunal, with Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam also laying claims to overlapping areas of the ocean.

Here's how it looks on a map:

As you can see above, each of the nations in the area lays claim to a portion of the ocean off their coast, but as the red colored line shows, CHINA claims . . . ALL OF IT. . . even though that part of the ocean the ocean is not within 200 miles of China's coast! In fact, the "Spratley Islands" are more than eight hundred miles (1200km) away from China's shore!

The other countries in the area, especially the Philippines, told China to stay out of their territorial waters and China basically said, "we have a bigger Navy than you (and than the USA) and we'll do what we want." Everyone else has said "No, you won't."

So China started dredging to build-up portions of the Spratley Islands, then populate those new creations with Chinese troops, airfields and Naval facilities.

China claims virtually all of the resource-rich sea as it's own, and has continued with an aggressive building program of military ports, artificial runways and fortresses, despite international condemnation.

The country has already said it will ignore the Hague's ruling, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi saying it "would only escalate the disputes and tensions.”

Ahead of the ruling, the US government called for “all claimants to avoid provocative actions or statements.”

But in an editorial in the state-owned People Daily newspaper – the official mouthpiece of Beijing – China warned there would be "a price to pay" for further interference from the US.

The newspaper editorial said:

“There is a bottom line with every issue, and a price will be paid if that line is crossed.

“If the United States, regardless of the cost, chooses the path of ‘brinkmanship’ that pressures and intimidates others, there will be only one result, that is, that the US bears all the responsibility for possibly further heightening tensions in the South China Sea.

“China has a solid-rock position over safeguarding China’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. It will not want anything that does not belong to it, but it will ensure that every inch of land it owns is safe and sound.”

A US satellite image shows construction of a possible radar tower facilities in the South China Sea

Chinese officials are already angry with America carrying out naval missions within the South China Sea, under the convention of Freedom of Navigation in international waters.

Last month Chinese fighter jets flew within 15 metres of a US aircraft over the East China Sea – a move which Secretary of State John Kerry described as a “provocative and destabilising act”.

Seemingly demonstrating its resolve, China has begun a week-long series of combat drills near the southern island province of Hainan and the Paracel islands in the South China Sea, which focused on air control, surface operations and anti-submarine warfare.

Two guided missile destroyers and a frigate were among the naval vessels taking part in the drills, according to state news.

However, the paper claimed this was just normal naval activity which "is not connected with specific events or countries".

War On The Streets Of America: Protesters Attack Police In Major Cities

Police State - Public DomainThis is what a nation looks like when it starts melting down from within.  A series of very disturbing incidents of police brutality against young black males has caused a firestorm to erupt all across the country.  You would have thought that the massacre of police in Dallas would have caused everyone to step back and reflect on what is really causing this cycle of violence, but instead the nationwide protests have gotten even bigger and more intense.  Over the weekend, protesters attacked police with rocks, bricks, bottles, fireworks, chunks of concrete, Molotov cocktails and rebar from a construction site.  In return, police fired pepper spray, smoke bombs and tear gas at protesters.  As I write this, more than 200 protesters have been arrested over the weekend so far, and authorities are bracing for what the coming night will bring.
For so long, I have been specifically warning that this kind of civil unrest was coming, but I truly wish that it would have turned out that I was wrong.  As a nation, we need to learn to love one another no matter what we look like or where we are from, but instead a cycle of violence has begun that is going to be very hard to break.
On Saturday night, there was horrible violence against police in St. Paul, Minnesota.  That is where my father was originally from, and I remember visiting my grandmother in St. Paul many times.  Back in those days, I never would have imagined that someday we would see this kind of violence against law enforcement officersin the city…
At least five officers were injured by protesters — one hit with a glass bottle and another by fireworks, according to St. Paul police. One was hit on the head with a large piece of concrete, possibly dropped from a bridge, according to police.
Another officer had been hit in the head with a rock, though it is unclear the extent of the injuries. Police say a Molotov cocktailwas thrown at officers.
Law enforcement used crowd-control measures, including smoke and fired marking rounds similar to paintball rounds, said police spokesman Steve Linders.

According to another report, protesters “were dropping 10lb concrete blocks on officers’ heads, throwing bricks at their heads and genitals, and lobbing Molotov cocktails.”
One of the officers that had a concrete block dropped on his head had his spine fractured.
There is absolutely no excuse for attacking police officers in this manner.
None whatsoever.
I want to share with you a series of tweets that were sent out by the St. Paul police during the attacks

As I have warned before, “a spirit of violence and civil unrest is rising in America“, and it wasn’t just in St. Paul that we saw these kinds of various dangerous attacks on police officers.
-In Baton Rouge, a police officer “had several of his teeth knocked out” after being hit by a projectile thrown by protesters.  But it could have been a lot worse.  According to the Daily Mail, law enforcement authorities confiscated “three rifles, three shotguns and two pistols” from the rioters.
-In Phoenix, protesters launched rocks and projectiles at police and many of them reportedly shouted “We should shoot you!
-In San Antonio, someone fired “multiple gunshots” at the San Antonio Police headquarters building on Saturday night…
Multiple gunshots were fired at the San Antonio Police headquarters building Saturday night, and police are seeking a suspect who was seen running from the area, SAPD Chief William McManus said.
The shots were fired just before 10 p.m. Saturday. There were no reports of injuries, but bullet marks were found on the exterior wall of the building, McManus said. Shell casings were discovered in a nearby alley.

The mainstream media would have us believe that the shooter in Dallas was a lone nut that acted alone, and that his behavior was not part of a larger trend.  But they completely ignored another mass shooting motivated by hate that occurred just hours before the shootings in Dallas…
Hours before a black Army veteran shot 12 officers at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas, another former Army soldier was accused of shooting indiscriminately at passing cars and police on a Tennessee highway.
And like the Dallas sniper, Lakeem Keon Scott said he was motivated to act in response to police violence against African-Americans, authorities said Friday.
One woman died and three others, including a police officer, were wounded Thursday morning in the Tennessee rampage, one of several spasms of violence across the country this week amid boiling tensions over policing and race.

And the incident in Dallas could have turned out to be far worse.  According to authorities in Dallas, Micah Johnson was found to have had bomb making materials in his home and “was planning a larger attack”
The gunman who killed five cops in Dallas was planning a larger attack but launched his assault early because the protest was too good an opportunity to miss, a police source said.
Veteran Micah Johnson went on the rampage with an AR-15 assault rifle and handgun on Thursday night, but left explosive material at home.
A law enforcement source told WFAA that Johnson was ‘planning something bigger’ but cut preparations short because he knew scores of police officers would man the Black Lives Matter protest.

At times like this, we desperately need strong leaders to step forward and calm everyone down.  Unfortunately, the great leaders of the past are long gone, and they have been replaced by politicians that are trying to figure out how they can best use this unrest for their own political advantage.
Instead of hating one another, we need to start loving one another.  Without love, our nation is going to die.
I wish that everyone in the country could be made to understand this, but unfortunately most Americans have chosen a different path, and now we will suffer the consequences.

Hungary calls EU referendum and president sets date for vote

In the wake of the UK's Brexit vote and the decision to leave the European Union (EU), the Hungarian President, Janos Ader, has ordered a nationwide referendum on October 2.

The Hungarian people will be asked whether they want to accept any future European Union quota system for resettling migrants.

The question will be: "Do you want the European Union to be entitled to prescribe the mandatory settlement of non-Hungarian citizens in Hungary without the consent of parliament?"

The Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has fiercely opposed the EU's plans to relocate 160,000 migrants around the bloc by using mandatory quotas, but the scheme was approved by a majority of members.

Mr Orban has said that the vote will give people a chance to stand up for Hungary's sovereignty.

He said: "Brussels must be stopped, we must put an end to the violent immigration policy that is contrary to the will of the European people.

Civil Unrest In Berlin Over 3500 People Riot Against Police

"Civil Unrest is exploding," warns Armstrong Economics' Martin Armstrong,
The biggest and most violent protest in Germany erupted in Berlin over the weekendexactly with our models calling for an explosion in civil unrest.
Some 1800 police were called in and at least 120 policemen were injured in what is becoming a street battle. This has been the most aggressive and violent protest in Germany for the past five years.
Protesters were throwing bottles, cobblestones and fireworks, as well as they destroyed cars in addition to attacking police officers. It appears at least 3,500 rioters took part in the uprising and possibly more than 4,000.
The protest is against police operations and involved mostly young people who have risen up against the police operations in the Riga street area. Protesters wore black hoods carrying banners with slogans like “Riga defend 94” and “Housing solidarity against state terror.”
The demonstration went on with the crowd chanting repeatedly: “Bullenschweine get out of Riga!” Demonstrators were throwing firecrackers and police fired back with tear gas. The police also called in air support using helicopters and they had to call in for reinforcements from Bavaria, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and the Federal Police.
Interior Senator Frank Henkel (CDU) announced that the police will also be present at night after the demonstration, so riots and arson attacks should be stopped...calling the riot a "leftist orgy of violence."
With September's elections looming we suspect the tensions will only get worse.

Some 1,700 Christians from around 300 denominations have met in Munich for a ‘Together in Europe’ gathering of the Ecumenical Congress promoting unity between Catholics, Protestants and Evangelicals.

In a meeting supported by Pope Francis and Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I, leaders of the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, several Orthodox Churches, Protestant denominations and free evangelical denominations including some Baptists and Pentecostals debated for three days about how to walk towards “encounter, reconciliation and hope in a better future.”

The Congress finished with an open air rally attended by around 5,000 people under the banner: “500 years of division is enough – unity is possible”. German YMCA leader Gerhard Pross said: “The division amongst Christians in Europe is a wound, but it does not have to be open forever…500 years are enough.”

The world seems to be a little bit more crazy with each month

Image result for crazy world
Have you noticed that the world seems to be going a little bit more crazy with each passing month?  Here we are halfway through 2016, and the rot and decay that are eating at the foundations of civilized society seem to be rapidly gaining momentum.  Every single day, all of us take certain things for granted as we go through our normal routines.  For example, as you walk down the street you probably take it for granted that someone is not going to pull out a gun and try to shoot you.  As members of a civilized society, we have come to expect that our fellow citizens will behave in a certain way.  Unfortunately, the thin veneer of civilization that we have all come to rely upon is steadily evaporating all over the globe, and chaos, crime and violence are all on the rise.
Even the United States is becoming a lawless place.  We saw this very clearly when the FBI magically cleared Hillary Clinton.  We’ll talk more about the deterioration of America later on in this article, but I would like to begin today by looking at what is going on in Brazil.  The Olympics are about a month away, and things are so bad in Rio de Janeiro that police have put up a billboard for all of the tourists that are coming in that says “Welcome to Hell”
The Olympic Games are 31 days away — and Rio de Janeiro is in crisis.
Violence is on the rise, and police officers are at loggerheads with the Rio state government after claiming they’ve not been paid for months.
The message from police to tourists is clear: We won’t be able to protect you.
The state’s police officers vented their anger Monday with a sign saying, “Welcome to Hell,” outside Rio’s main airport.

It may be hard to believe, but approximately 42,000 people are shot and killed in Brazil each year, and it has one of the highest homicide rates on the entire planet.
But it isn’t just the violence that those traveling to the Olympics need to be concerned about.  According to Weather.com, a “super bacteria” has been found in the city’s waterways…
Lead researcher Renata Picao told CNN that a drug-resistant bacteria has entered the city’s waterways from sewage coming from local hospitals, which is channeled into Guanabara Bay and eventually washes up on area beaches.
“I don’t take my children to these beaches,” Picao said. “We still need more studies to tell what would be the risk to human health of this exposure through the water.”
According to the Associated Press, the Olympic sites on Guanabara Bay are tested daily for bacteria, and four of the five will not pose any problems, but also said the bay has shown astronomically high levels of viruses for which the state is not testing. Rio’s waters were found to contain viruses up to 1.7 million more times hazardous than a beach in the U.S, CBS reports.

The water is so bad in Rio that the U.S. rowing team will actually use sewage-proof suits at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, things are even worse in Brazil’s neighbor Venezuela.  47 percent of the population can no longer provide three meals a day for their families, people are hunting cats and dogs for food, and armed guards are being stationed on food trucks to keep the rioters and looters at bay.  It is a full-blown economic collapse, and what is happening in Venezuela right now is eventually coming to America.
Over in Europe, they are dealing with a major sexual assault epidemic.  Millions of refugees from the Middle East have poured into western Europe over the past couple of years, and the results have been nothing short of catastrophic.  The latest incident to make global headlines comes from Sweden
Over 20 girls between 12 and 18 years old told police they were sexually assaulted by a group of men during a music festival in Karlstad, Sweden.
Police are investigating “a score of cases in which young girls have been molested,” Swedish Aftonbladet daily reported.
It said that the alleged attacks occurred during the “Putte i Parken” rock festival in Karlstad in Varmland County, despite enhanced police presence.

Do you want to guess who the attackers were?  One of the young girls that was sexually assaulted said that the perpetrators “were not from a Swedish background”
She said that the boys around them were about 17 or 18-years-old but ‘those standing behind me were not from a Swedish background.’
‘They were probably immigrants. I hate to say it. But it is the truth,’ she said.
‘I have reported this to the police, but it feels like a drop in the ocean. I saw girls that came crying from the audience, including an old childhood friend who is two years younger. She cried so much that it broke my heart.’

But don’t worry, the police in Sweden have launched a new campaign against these kinds of assaults.  They plan to hand out bracelets that say “don’t molest” at music festivals and they have even started a special hashtag on Twitter.
That should do quite a bit to stem the tide.
Over in Germany, a leaked report is making waves because it specifically identifies refugees as the primary reason for the horrible wave of sexual assaults at swimming pools and other bathing establishments…
The internal report was issued for officers of the Criminal Commisariat 12 – responsible for sex crimes and missing persons – and states: ‘The K12 can confirm a surge in sex crimes at these establishments.
‘In particular rape and the sexual abuse of children in bathing establishments have given us grave cause for concern.
‘The perpetrators are, for the most part, immigrants.’

Look, I am all in favor of helping families that are fleeing the war in Syria, but these nations in Europe need to start using some common sense.
In the Middle East, the barbarism just continues to get even worse.  Just today, I saw a report about how ISIS is boiling people alive, and over the past couple of weeks there has been a shocking string of Islamic terror attacks all over the world.  According to Wikipedia, there have been more than 100 terror attacks worldwide per month so far in 2016, and during the month of June there were more than 200.
When are people going to start realizing that Islamic terror is a major threat and it is not going away?
In the United States, the thin veneer of civilization is breaking down as well, and this is especially true in many of our major cities.
Over the July 4th weekend, at least 64 people were shot in Chicago.  The homicide rate in the city is up nearly 50 percent so far in 2016, and the police are having a very difficult time trying to deal with rapidly escalating gang violence in the region.
But it isn’t just the rise in violent crime that shows how our society is decaying.  I want to share with you an incident that I came across earlier today that I think really gives us some insight into what is happening to this country.  Our young people have so little respect for one another or for anything else, and the way that they treat one another is not what you would expect from citizens of a “civilized” society.  Just check out this example of what I am talking about
A pair of young American men were left covered in Coke after they pranked a young female McDonald’s worker.
They approached a drive-thru in their SUV with the camera rolling.
Just as the girl prepares to take their money and hand them the drink they honk the horn, making her jump in fright.
But the worker had the last laugh when she said: ‘You’re not going to get your drink, go!’ before lobbing the large Coke back at them.
The driver tried to chuck the drink back but she shut the drive-thru window in time.

You can watch the young McDonald’s worker throwing the Coke at the two guys right here.  My point is not to place blame on the worker or on the two “pranksters”.  Rather, my point is to show how pathetic our interactions with one another have become.
We like to think that we are so “advanced”, but the truth is that we have become the kind of crude, disgusting slobs that the movie “Idiocracy” once mocked.
Could you imagine the people of Downton Abbey acting in this manner?
I certainly couldn’t.
And you know why they wouldn’t have acted this way?
It is because they were far more “civilized” than we are.
Our standards have fallen so low that very few people care if we even have standards anymore.  Just like most of the rest of the world, our society is crumbling, and as a result the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted is starting to disappear.
So how do we go about fixing things?  Please feel free to tell us what you think by posting a comment below…

A federal lawsuit has been filed against Kentucky County Clerk for denying a man a license to marry his laptop computer

A federal lawsuit has been filed against Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis for denying a man a license to marry his laptop computer. The plaintiff, Mark "Chris" Sevier, also has filed lawsuits against Governor Matt Bevin and Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear.

Sevier, a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School whose law license was suspended in 2011, previously filed similar suits in Texas and in Florida. Sevier says he is trying to prove that marriage between a same-sex couple has the same legitimacy as a human marrying an inanimate object.

"This lawsuit is frivolous," said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. "There is obviously no right for a man to marry a machine. When you make gender irrelevant to a gender-based relationship you open Pandora's box and make a mockery out of marriage," said Staver.
