Russia has moved a new weapons system equipped with thermobaric warheads into rebel-held Ukraine while the world's attention remains on its airstrikes in Syria, international monitors say.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe - which is monitoring a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine - reports its monitors have seen a mobile TOS-1 Buratino system for the first time.
The Buratino features thermobaric warheads which spread a flammable liquid around a target and then ignite it. It can destroy several city blocks in one strike, causing indiscriminate damage.

Only Russia produces the system and it was not exported to Ukraine before the conflict broke out, according to IHS Jane's Group and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

The unipolar world order has ceased to exist now that powerful new centers of economic growth are emerging in Asia and Latin America, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview on Thursday.
“Old habits die hard. Parting with one’s sense of global dominion is not easy and this process is going to be long and painful, but I’m sure that in the long haul we’ll agree on the need to redistribute our responsibilities from conflict resolution to economics to finance and trade,” Lavrov said on Venezuelan state television.
He also underscored the need to end the longtime practice of using one country’s laws on the territory of another.
All this should be done strictly in line with the UN Charter and without undermining the authority of the UN Security Council, Lavrov added.
“We are against any quick fixes here… All these problems should be tackled having fully in mind the hard fact that global politics, economics and finances are no longer directed by a single center, that there are new powerful centers of economic and financial growth now emerging in Asia and Latin America adding political clout to these new economic powerhouses,” Lavrov noted.
Russia wants to enshrine the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states in an international declaration.
“This is a fundamental principle of the UN Charter which, unfortunately, is often violated,” Sergei Lavrov said.
He also called for a redistribution of votes and quotas, including in the International Monetary Fund “we all agreed about ten years ago.
Sergei Lavrov warned against the principle of the so-called “legal extraterritoriality” when unilateral sanctions are imposed in circumvention of the UN Security Council and are aimed at undermining a country’s economic and social stability.
“Economic ties, trade, technological exchanges all this holds the key to development while one-sided sanctions thwart the countries’ pursuit of a better life,” Sergei Lavrov said in conclusion.
In our final look at today's lack of jobs report, we wanted to highlight two quick things.
First, of the 142K jobs added in September, 24K was government jobs, which incidentally was laid out by a scrambling for a silver lining Bank of America as the "positive" in today's jobs report. To wit: "Government hiring was strong for a fourth consecutive month, with payrolls up a solid 24,000 and averaging almost 29,000 in that time span." Because more government hiring is what the U.S. needs.
Sarcasm aside, this left just 118K for the private sector. Of this 118K, 78% went to low/minimum-wage paying jobs: Leisure and Hospitality was 30% of the total, adding 35K jobs, 25% was for education and health, more minimum wages, with Retail and Temp Help rounding out the remaining 23% in "gains." Meanwhile jobs which actually pay good wages, mining and logging, manufacturing and wholesale trade, all declined in September.
Unfortunately, there are still those - mostly economists and drama majors - who are still clueless about why the US economy is stuck in centrally-planned quicksand or merely doing their best to boost the government propaganda, here is the chart.
And since there will still be confusion, here is data so simple, even a 5 year old will get it: in September, the US economy added 21,000 waiters and bartenders and lost another 9,000 manufacturing workers - an economy which is rapidly transitioning to a Feudal state, where nothing is made, and in which the peasantry is increasingly focused on just serving the lords who have all the money.
Finally, since the start of the depression in December 2007, the US economy has added 1.5 million waiters and bartenders and lost 1.4 million manufacturing workers.
In Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, it is revealed that Russia will invade Israel. We are fast approaching this moment. World War III will not likely begin with a showdown between the United States and Russia. It will begin with Putin’s Russian forces in Syria attacking Israel.
Russia Stated World War III On September 30, 2015
On September 30, 2015, Reuters reported that he United States, in responding to Russia’s air strikes in Syria, near Homs, did not react favorably. The Secretary of Defense Ash Carter chastised Russia on for escalating the conflict by stating that Russia’s reckless actions were equivalent to “pouring gasoline on a fire.”
Carter strongly criticized the Russian military action that took many in Washington off guard as it served to heighten suspicion regarding the true natureof Russian intentions, in Syria, just two days after Putin told Obama that he was only committed to defeating ISIS. This article will reveal that Putin is not only committed ISIS, Putin is ready to eliminate any threat to Syria and its Iranian partners, including Israel.
A Defense Secretary At a Loss for Words
Secretary of Defense Carter stated that “We have been observing Russian activities, and I don’t want to go into detail about that at this time, but one of the reasons the Russian position is contradictory, is exactly the potential for them to strike as they may well have, in places where ISIL is not present.”
What Carter is clearly saying, is that Russia is not in Syria to eradicate ISIS/ISIL. Russia is in Syria to ERADICATE ALL THREATS TO ASSAD AND TO GAIN A MILITARY FOOTHOLD IN THE MIDDLE EAST!

Carter went on to say that “Others are present. The result of this kind of action will inevitably be simply to be to inflame the civil war in Syria.” The phrase inflame the war in Syria strongly hints at a Russian escalation to World War III.
Carter’s Comments Are Only the Tip of the Iceberg
What is not being reported in the Main Stream Media is that Russian President Vladimir Putin is concerned about Israel’s repeated rocket attacks in Syria, and Putin is ready to confront the situation. My military sources tell me that Putin warned Obama in their September 29th meeting that he had better use his influence with Israel and back the IDF down. Israel, on the other hand, has no intention of allowing the Syrian backed forces to threaten Israeli settlements on the Golan Heights. Subsequently, the stage is set for a confrontation between Israel and Russia over the IDF’s actions towards Syria. On the other hand, the IDF is determined to eliminate any Syrian threat toward their country. This is a case of the irresistible force meets the immovable object.
What is not being reported in the mainstream media, but I have been able to confirm through my sources is that on September 27th, Israeli forces targeted a series of targets inside of Syria following an attack upon Golan emanating from Syrian forces loyal to Assad, who is, in turn, allied with Putin.
Partial confirmation of the sources for The Common Sense Show comes from the DEBKA File as they are reporting the IDF attack and Putin’s response.
According to the Debka File, last Sunday night, the IDF hit Syrian military targets with powerful Tamuz artillery rockets after two errant Syrian rockets landed on the Golan. DEBKA File’s military sources further reported that the IDF hit the artillery command post of the Syrian army’s 90th Brigade, which is stationed outside Quneitra. Syrian and Lebanese sources say the Syrian deputy commander was injured. The military sources for The Common Sense Show cannot confirm the details as to the specific unit and the total number of casualties. Military sources only can confirm that an IDF attack on Syria did indeed take place following a provocation by Syrian forces.
Putin issued a strong warning to Israel that these attacks will cease. Subsequently, this development adds, yet, another dimension to the number of flash points which could result in World War III. Ask yourself a question. What will Putin do when one of the IDF’s attacks upon Syria kills members of the Russian military? It does not take a “rocket scientist” to say World War III.

Syria Is Russia’s Spanish Civil War
The Nazis practiced their blitzkrieg tactics during the Spanish Civil War.
One of The Common Sense Show’s confidential retired military sources strongly believes that Russia’s presence and recent actions in Syria is historically similar to what the Nazis did during the Spanish Civil War which took place from 1936-1939.
The Spanish Civil War amounted to the opening battle of World War II. Among the tragic events of the Spanish Civil War, the German Nazis were permitted to use the conflict to test the prowess of their developing blitzkrieg tactics which would eventually be unleashed against Poland and Russia.
On September 30, 2015, The Common Sense Show learned that Russia has more than likely anticipated that its bombing of Homs was accompanied by the US “locking on to the rogue Air Force action by the Russians”. The Russians more than likely anticipated that they would be locked on and this provided them with opportunity to test the United States’ response time and the nature of their surveillance technology so it could be negated at a later time. The source stated that this was hardly a revelation and than many in the military are already aware of this, but nobody is stating the obvious and the MSM is certainly not going to report this either.
As the Chinese warships have made their way through the Suez Canal and are presumably entering Syria, it is likely that they are conducting their own beta tests during Russia’s provocative actions under America and Israel’s watchful eye. In other other words, both Russia and China are using the conflict to gather intelligence on a potential US response by observing the US’ early warning detection system of the Russian Air Force action.
The Munich Accords
When President Obama and Secretary of State, John Kerry, sold out US defense interests by signing a nuclear treat with Iran, the President should have changed his name to Neville Chamberlain, and that the nuclear arms treaty was the modern day equivalent of the Munich Accords.
It seems possible that world history might have proceeded differently had the democracies taken a strong stand against fascism in Spain in 1936. However, when Hitler and Neville Chamberlain inked the Munich Accords, it was clear that the allies were not going to make a stand against aggressive German military actions.
Following the Munich Accords, Neville Chamberlain mistakenly stated that “We have peace in our time”.
History has clearly demonstrated that Chamberlain had his finger on the “chicken switch” as he bargained away all leverage that the allies would have had to check Hitler’s aggressiveness. History has just repeated itself with regard to the Nuclear treaty with Iran and Russian military incursions into Syria agreed to by Barack “Neville” Hussein Obama. Is Obama purposely allowing this to happen? At this point, it does not matter. It is 1939 and the world is ready to get a rude awakening.
Conclusion
Three days ago, when Putin and Obama spoke about Russian intentions in Syria, Obama was duped by a master deceiver and Obama unwittingly played the role of one of the biggest losers in world history, Neville Chamberlain. With Obama agreeing to Russian military action in Syria, Obama has opened the door to the Russians, the Chinese and the Iranian gaining a firm foothold in the Middle East in preparation to war in the Middle East. Israel, by its recent actions has made it clear that they will not tolerate Russia’s incursions into the Middle East on behalf of Syria and Iran. World War III is an incident away.
Back in June, the commander of Iran’s Quds Force, Qasem Soleimaini, visited a town north of Latakia on the frontlines of Syria’s protracted civil war. Following that visit, he promised that Tehran and Damascus were set to unveil a new strategy that would “surprise the world.”
Just a little over a month later, Soleimani - in violation of a UN travel ban - visited Russia and held meetings with The Kremlin. The Pentagon now says those meetings were “very important” in accelerating the timetable for Russia’s involvement in Syria. The General allegedly made another visit to Moscow in September.
The timeline here is no coincidence. Iran has long provided covert and overt support to the Assad regime via financial transfers, logistical support from the Quds, and via the involvement of Hezbollah in the Assad government’s fight to regain control of the country.
As we’ve documented extensively over the past several weeks, what appears to have happened here is that Iran, unable to simply invade Syria in support of Assad (because doing so would obviously be a disaster in terms of preserving the optics around the P5+1 nuclear deal), turned to Moscow which has in the past used Russia’s Security Council veto to block the referral of the war in Syria to the Hague and which is a known ally of both Tehran and Damascus.
While it’s unclear exactly what the pitch was to Putin, Russia clearly saw an opportunity to advance The Kremlin’s geopolitical agenda at a key time in history. Moscow is keen to put on a brave face amid the most contentious standoff with the West since the Cold War (as a result of the conflict in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea) and amid the related effort to preserve Gazprom’s market share in Europe.
In short, Putin looks to have viewed this as the ultimate geopolitical win-win. That is, Russia gets to i) expand its influence in the Middle East in defiance of Washington and its allies, a move that also helps to protect Russian energy interests and preserves the Mediterranean port at Tartus, and ii) support its allies in Tehran and Damascus thus preserving the counterbalance to the US-Saudi-Qatar alliance.
Meanwhile, Iran gets to enjoy the support of the Russian military juggernaut on the way to protecting the delicate regional nexus that is the source of Tehran’s Mid-East influence. It is absolutely critical for Iran to keep Assad in power, as the loss of Syria to the West would effectively cut the supply line between Iran and Hezbollah.
The same dynamic is playing out in Iraq. That is, Iran is fighting ISIS via various Shiite militias just as it’s fighting the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen via the Shia Houthis. It is thus extremely significant that Baghdad has agreed to share intelligence with Syria and Russia, as that effectively means the Iran-backed Shiite militias battling for control of Iraq will enjoy the support of the Russian military.
What should be obvious here is that this is a coordinated plan.
The Kremlin has effectively agreed to bring the might of the Russian air force to bear on Assad’s opponents in Syria and on Sunni militants in Iraq in support of Iranian ground troops and because the US and its allies have failed so miserably in terms of fielding anti-Assad rebels who don't turn out to be extremists, Putin gets to pitch the whole thing as a "war on terror." It would be difficult to design a more elegant power play.
If you think that’s far-fetched, consider the following just out from Reuters:
Hundreds of Iranian troops have arrived in Syria in the last 10 days and will soon join government forces and their Lebanese Hezbollah allies in a major ground offensive backed by Russian air strikes, two Lebanese sources told Reuters.
"The (Russian) air strikes will in the near future be accompanied by ground advances by the Syrian army and its allies," said one of the sources familiar with political and military developments in the conflict.
"It is possible that the coming land operations will be focused in the Idlib and Hama countryside," the source added.
The two sources said the operation would be aimed at recapturing territory lost by President Bashar al-Assad's government to rebels.
It points to an emerging military alliance between Russia and Assad's other main allies - Iran and Hezbollah - focused on recapturing areas of northwestern Syria that were seized by insurgents in rapid advances earlier this year.
"The vanguard of Iranian ground forces began arriving in Syria: soldiers and officers specifically to participate in this battle. They are not advisors ... we mean hundreds with equipment and weapons. They will be followed by more," the second source said. Iraqis would also take part in the operation, the source said.
And then consider this, also just out (via Reuters):
The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday it would consider any request from the Iraqi government to conduct air strikes against Islamic State inside Iraq, but said it had not yet received such an appeal, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.
It cited the foreign ministry as saying it would evaluate the "political and military" logic of such a move if a request was forthcoming.
Finally, to drive the point home and further confirm the veracity of the thesis outlined above, here’s Saudi Arabia panicking at the prospect that Russia’s presence is set to completely disrupt the Mid-East BOP (via Reuters, yet again):
Saudi Arabia, a leading foe of President Bashar al-Assad, demanded his ally Russia end its raids on Syria, saying the strikes had caused civilian casualties while failing to target the hardline Islamic State militants Moscow says it opposes.
In remarks at the United Nations in New York, a senior Saudi diplomat suggested both Russia and Assad's other main ally Iran could not claim to fight Islamic State "terrorism" at the same time as supporting the "terrorism" of the Syrian authorities.
Saudi ambassador Abdallah Al-Mouallimi expressed "profound concern regarding the military operations which
Russian forces have carried out in Homs and Hama today, places where ISIS forces are not present. These attacks led to a number of innocent victims. We demand it stop immediately and not recur."
"As for those countries that have claimed recently to join in the fight against ISIS terrorism, they can’t do that at the same time as they support the terrorism of the Syrian regime and its terrorist foreign allies like Hezbollah and the Quds Force and other terrorist sectarian groups," he added in comments broadcast by Saudi-owned al-Arabiya television.
ISIS is a common acronym for Islamic State, also known as ISIL. Lebanon's Hezbollah Shi'ite militia openly fights on behalf of Assad's government, and the Quds Force, part of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, is also widely believed to be aiding Damascus.
It would be difficult to overstate the significance of what appears to be going on here. This is nothing short of a Middle Eastern coup, as Iran looks to displace Saudi Arabia as the regional power broker and as Russia looks to supplant the US as the superpower puppet master.
Do not expect Saudi Arabia and Israel to remain on the sidelines here.
If Russia ends up bolstering Iran's position in Syria (by expanding Hezbollah's influence and capabilities) and if the Russian air force effectively takes control of Iraq thus allowing Iran to exert a greater influence over the government in Baghdad, the fragile balanace of power that has existed in the region will be turned on its head and in the event this plays out, one should not expect Washington, Riyadh, Jerusalem, and London to simply go gentle into that good night.
