Despite New Years Rapes by Muslims in Cologne, Britain Entertains Trump Ban

(TRUNEWS) As many European nations continue to take in massive numbers of migrants and refugees, despite an uptick in violent crime, the United Kingdom prepares to debate banning Donald Trump for his comments against Muslim immigration.

On New Year’s Eve, more than 80 women reported being sexually assaulted in Cologne by migrants.

The scene was described as a war-zone, when about 1,000 men from Arab and North African countries groped and raped women at a train station. Some of the victims were also robbed, had fireworks thrown at them or were verbally assaulted.

Deutsche Welle reported that City police chief, Wolfgang Albers, called the attack “a completely new dimension of crime.” He also confirmed to the press that the men were of Arab or North African appearance.

So far only a few arrests have been made, sparking suspicion of a cover up. The justice minister has warned against linking the crimes to the issue of migrants and refugees, according to BBC.

Assaults were also reported in Hamburg.



Meanwhile, British lawmakers will hold a debate Jan 18. on whether to consider a ban to keep Donald Trump out of the country for words that he used. Recently, he made comments about stopping Muslims from entering the United States, until leaders can figure out “what’s going on”.

A half a million people signed a petition calling for the restriction on Trump.
