Marc Faber Warns "The Endgame Is A Total Collapse - But From A Higher Diving Board Now"

With rumors this evening of the White House calling around for support for Yellen, Marc Faber's comments today during a Bloomberg TV interview are even more prescient. Fearing that Janet Yellen "would make Bernanke look like a hawk," Faber explains that he is not entirely surprised by today's no-taper news since he believes we are now in QE-unlimited andthe people at the Fed "never worked a single-day in the business of ordinary people," adding that "they don't understand that if you print money, it benefits basically a handful of people."

Following today's action, Faber is waiting to seeing if there is any follow-through but notes that "Feds have already lost control of the bond market. The question is when will it lose control of the stock market." The Fed, he warns, has boxed themselves in and "the endgame is a total collapse, but from a higher diving board."

Faber on the reaction that there's going to be no taper for now:
"My view was that they would taper by about $10 billion to $15 billion, but I'm not surprised that they don't do it for the simple reason that I think we are in QE unlimited. The people at the Fed are professors, academics. They never worked a single life in the business of ordinary people. And they don't understand that if you print money, it benefits basically a handful of people maybe--not even 5% of the population, 3% of the population. And when you look today at the market action, ok, stocks are up 1%. Silver is up more than 6%, gold up more than 4%, copper 2.9%, crude oil 2.68%, and so forth. Crude oil, gasoline are things people need, ordinary people buy everyday. Thank you very much, the Fed boosts these items that people need to go to their work, to heat their homes, and so forth and at the same time, asset prices go up, but the majority of people do not own stocks. Only 11% of Americans own directly shares."
On whether interest rates are held down when the Fed continues this type of policy:
"On September 14, 2012, when the Fed announced QE3, that was then extended into QE4, and now basically QE unlimited, the bond markets had peaked out. Interest rates had bottomed out on July 25, 2012--a year ago--at 1.43% on the 10-year Treasury note. Mr. Bernanke said at that time at a press conference, the objective of the Fed is to lower interest rates. Since then, they have doubled. Thank you very much. Great success."
On what the endgame is:
"Well, the endgame is a total collapse, but from a higher diving board. The Fed will continue to print and if the stock market goes down 10%, they will print even more. And they don't know anything else to do. And quite frankly, they have boxed themselves into a corner where they are now kind of desperate."
On Janet Yellen:
"She will make Mr. Bernanke look like a hawk. She, in 2010, said if could vote for negative interest rates, in other words, you would have a deposit with the bank of $100,000 at the beginning of the year and at the end, you would only get $95,000 back, that she would be voting for that. And that basically her view will be to keep interest rates in real terms, in other words, inflation-adjusted. And don't believe a minute the inflation figures published by the bureau of labor statistics. You live in New York. You should know very well how much costs of living are increasing every day. Now, the consequences of these monetary policies and artificially low interest rates is of course that the government becomes bigger and bigger and you have less and less freedom and you have people like Mr. De Blasio, who comes in and says let's tax people who have high incomes more. And, of course, immediately, because in a democracy, there are more poor people than rich people, they all applaud and vote for him. That is the consequence."
On where he sees gold heading:
"When I look at the market action today, I would like to see the next few days, because it may be a one-day event. The markets are overbought. The Feds have already lost control of the bond market. The question is when will it lose control of the stock market. So, I'm a little bit apprehensive. I would like to wait a few days to see how the markets react after the initial reaction."
On whether the 10-year yield will float back up to where it was before 2pm today:
"I will confess to you, longer-term, I am of course, negative about government bonds and i think that yields will go up and that eventually there will be sovereign default. But in the last few days, when yields went to 2.9% and 3% on the 10-year for the first time in years i bought some treasuries because I have the view that they overshot and that they could ease down to around 2.2% to 2.5% because the economy is much weaker than people think…I think in the next three months or so."
On gold prices:
"I always buy gold and I own gold. I don't even value it. I regard it as an insurance policy. I think responsible citizens should own gold, period."

51% Favor Government Shutdown Until Congress Cuts Health Care

President Obama yesterday criticized congressional Republicans for insisting on spending cuts in any budget deal that continues government operations past October 1, saying they risk "economic chaos." Most voters agree a federal government shutdown would be bad for the economy, but they're willing to risk one until Democrats and Republicans in Congress agree on ways to cut the budget, including cuts in funding for the new national health care law.

Just 20% of Likely U.S. Voters believe a partial shutdown of the federal government would be good for economy, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Fifty-six percent (56%) say such a shutdown would be bad for the economy, even though payments for things like Social Security, Medicare and unemployment would continue. Sixteen percent (16%) think it would have no impact. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

But 58% favor a federal budget that cuts spending, while only 16% prefer one that increases spending. Twenty-one percent (21%) support a budget that keeps spending levels about the same.

This helps explain why 53% would rather have a partial government shutdown until Democrats and Republicans can agree on what spending to cut. Thirty-seven percent (37%) would prefer instead that Congress avoid a shutdown by authorizing spending at existing levels as the president has proposed.

Some conservative Republicans in both the House and Senate are refusing to approve a budget unless it slows or stops funding for the health care law, but the president and most congressional Democrats are adamantly opposed to any such cuts. However, 51% of voters favor having a partial government shutdown until Democrats and Republicans agree on what spending for the health care law to cut. Forty percent (40%) would rather avoid a government shutdown by authorizing spending for the health care law at existing levels.

Late last month, 42% of Republicans said threatening to vote against a government funding bill unless it cuts off funds for the health care law will help the GOP. Twenty-eight percent (28%) disagreed, while 14% said it would have no impact. Fifty-two percent (52%) of Democrats and 48% of unaffiliateds thought it would hurt Republicans.

Most voters continue to dislike the health care law, and 54% expect it to increase, not reduce, health care costs. From the beginning of the debate over the law four years ago, voters have consistently said that cost is their number one health care concern.

Under the health care law, uninsured Americas are required to have health insurance by January 1, and failure to do so could result in sizable penalties. Now that the president has delayed implementation of the employer mandate portion of his new national health care law, 56% of voters think he also should delay the requirement that every American buy or obtain health insurance.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on September 14-15, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

The president sounded similar dire economic warnings before the so-called sequester automatic budget cuts kicked in March 1, but even after some highly publicized flight delays that were blamed on the sequester, just 24% of voters felt government spending was cut too much. Forty-four percent (44%) said spending wasn't cut enough. Now, interestingly, the president is proposing continuing federal spending at least in the short term at the lower levels set by the sequester.

Fifty-six percent (56%) of Americans think that when government agencies are forced to cut their budgets, they generally cut popular programs first to make the cuts seem more significant.

Democrats are far more concerned about the prospects of a government shutdown than Republicans and unaffiliated voters are. Seventy-nine percent (79%) of voters in the president's party think a partial shutdown would be bad for the economy, but just 40% of GOP voters and 48% of those not affiliated with either of the major parties agree. But then 78% of Republicans and 64% of unaffiliateds favor a federal budget that cuts spending, a view shared by just 34% of Democrats.

Sixty-three percent (63%) of Democrats agree with the president and would prefer to avoid a shutdown by authorizing spending at existing levels. Seventy-four percent (74%) of Republicans and 62% of unaffiliated voters would rather have a shutdown until the two sides can agree on what spending to cut.

Nebraska's Platte River Next in Line for Flood Surge

Remember by Prophet Orwuor.....

PROPHECY OF TREMENDOUS FLOODS COMING TO THE EARTH

http://nunezreport.blogspot.com/2013/08/prophecy-of-tremendous-floods-coming-to.html

The Colorado flood disaster resulted from a massive amount of rain falling over the foothills and adjacent Front Range urban corridor of northern Colorado.

Now, much of that water has collected in the South Platte River, sending it well above flood stage, and is heading downstream. Eventually this flood surge – a sort of Plains tsunami, metaphorically speaking – will roll into Nebraska, with potentially serious implications for interstate commerce.

As the South Platte River enters western Nebraska near the northeastern corner of Colorado, it begins to parallel Interstate 80, one of America's major transcontinental highways. The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for the South Platte to rise dramatically later this week, potentially high enough to flood a section of I-80 near Roscoe, Neb., about 45 miles west of the city of North Platte.

Flood Forecast

If this happens, it could significantly disrupt traffic and truck shipments through this corridor, which links the Rocky Mountain states to the west with major Midwest markets to the east. An important railroad line and the main alternate road route, U.S. Highway 30, also run through the South Platte River valley region.
Where Does All This Water Go Next?

The South Platte River joins the North Platte River at the city of North Platte to become the Platte River, which then flows east through the rest of Nebraska. Among Nebraskans, the river is popularly described as "a mile wide and an inch deep," and indeed this moniker is often not much of an exaggeration.

Normally a shallow but very wide braided stream with numerous islands, the Platte is generally not navigable, even to small craft such as canoes. The flood surge coming downstream will change that markedly, sending the river to potentially unprecedented levels (at least in modern recordkeeping) in western Nebraska. Not only could important transportation links be affected, but homes near the river will be at risk as well.

It remains to be seen how strong the flood crest will remain as it rolls through central and eastern parts of the Cornhusker State.

Eventually the Platte empties into the Missouri River south of Omaha, Neb. At that location, the water volume flowing down the Missouri River usually dwarfs that of the Platte. The Missouri River is well below flood stage now, so any flood surge on the Platte should be easily absorbed by the Missouri River and should not cause any problems downstream into the state of Missouri.

Interestingly, the water from this flood surge will eventually reach the Mississippi River and empty into the Gulf of Mexico. So the water from the Colorado deluge, which originated from water vapor transported north from the tropics, will eventually drain back into the tropics again.

Servants of Christ First

There is a massive power shift underway in Washington D.C. today, which is leading our nation to abandon our Judeo/ Christian heritage and founding principles at an alarming rate. Many evangelical Christians are seeing the exponential change in this country toward a secular, socialist state – especially in the last five years – which is, quite frankly, scaring them to death.

This concern is noteworthy and quite merited in light of the significant changes that are now happening, but many Evangelicals are IGNORANT of the Scriptural prophecies (predictions) describing these very events. They are stumbling over and wondering what Almighty God has been allowing to transpire here in the U.S.A. This rapidly shifting social/ political environment combined with a lack of understanding of what Almighty God’s Word clearly teaches about the day we live in HAS MADE for great confusion.

Many Evangelicals today are doubting and becoming offended in Almighty God’s providential management of the current status of the United States. It has also unified political evangelicals with other apostate "Christian" conservative groups under the "Name" of Jesus Christ bringing together both groups relative beliefs of who Jesus Christ is. This apostasy and ecumenicalism is bringing to the fore front the realities that many DO NOT truly have a saving relationship to the Christ of Holy Scripture. There is absolutely nothing wrong in working with other apostate "Christian" conservatives for the here and now but when they UNIFY under the Name of Jesus in a relativistic way there can only be confusion and the horrific ETERNAL ramifications that will follow (Matt. 7:21-23, 2 Tim. 3:7, 2 Peter 3:16, Rev. 20:11-15, 22:15). In light of our day, the Holy Scripture explains quite clearly what the Last Days would be like, and Almighty God expects His dear children NOT to be ignorant and foolish but wise and understanding about our day in which we are living in (Matthew 24; 1, 1 Thess. 4:13-18, 2 Thess. 2:3, Timothy 4:1-3).

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 3:1-7)."
We as Evangelicals and Conservatives here in America should do all we possibly can to slow the decaying process of this “dying corpse” of a once great nation by being the salt of the earth and light of the world, as Christ taught (Matt. 5:13-14). However our faith and hope should NEVER rest in Washington D.C., or the Constitution, or even in practicing our Judeo/ Christian conservative ideology (Jer. 17:5-9). Our faith and hope needs to be ANCHORED and ROOTED in Almighty God and His precious ETERNAL promises. The days of seeking to restore America to its former glory are well over. Wake up my Beloved! Our nation - and the entire world - has been decimated from the ongoing transgressions against the spiritual and natural laws of Almighty God (Isaiah 24:5). We are at the point of no return, the bottom of the vortex like it or not. This is a hard pill of reality for many Evangelicals and Conservatives to swallow, but it must!

These days in which we are living in are the catalyst leading to the soon approaching Day of the Lord, the Battle of Armageddon and Lord Jesus Christ's glorious second coming to earth to establish His 1000 Year Kingdom!

Praying (petitioning) for our nation (1 Timothy 2:1-4), having Tea Parties, calling our representatives and elected officials, being up to date on the issues, living out our Judeo/ Christian ideals, etc... is all fine and dandy, but DO NOT deceive yourselves into thinking that all of this effort and wishful thinking will re-establish a “Christian” conservative America or a “Christian” conservative utopiahere on earth, with the gullible imagination that we will all live happily ever after. Again my friend, we have passed the point of no return in this regard. The steak has been left out in the sun too long and is totally spoiled.

This delusional reasoning is the Satanic Kool-Aid of the day that is being peddled by “religious” conservatives (Rom. 10:2-4, 2 Cor. 11:13-15) who do not honor or know not Almighty God in Spirit and Truth(Matt. 7:21-23; John 4:24; Jude 1:3-4). Many Evangelicals at present are drinking this poison and passing the jug around. Many are departing the faith and sound doctrine and apostatizing into many subtle isms. (1 Tim. 4:1-3; 2 Peter 2:1). Warning, Be not deceived!

Sadly, many Evangelicals today are oblivious to this Biblical reality. These have submersed themselves into the current events of the day and the restoration of Washington and it has absolutely consumed all of their time and energy. They have constructed a wall of worry, ignorance and temporal foresight so high that they cannot see and comprehend the hour and day in which we are living in. These days in which we are living in are the catalyst leading to the soon approaching Day of the Lord, the Battle of Armageddon and Lord Jesus Christ's glorious second coming to earth to establish His 1000 Year Kingdom!(2 Thess. 2:2-3, Rev 16:13-16, 19:11-21).
My friend, there is a Big Bad Tribulation headed our way and nothing is going to stop that event from transpiring.
.

My friend, there is a Big Bad Tribulation headed our way and nothing is going to stop that event from transpiring. These have set their “tent pegs” deep in the world reasoning and system, and their affections are on the things of temporal time. These have given a distant second status to their position in Christ and the Gospel proclamation to all the world (Matt. 28:19-20; Rom 1:16). They have lost their ETERNAL vision and focus, and the Heavenly calling given them by Almighty God, which is needed so drastically for today for our nation and world (1 Cor. 2:5; 2 Cor. 5:17-21; Eph. 1:3; Col. 3:1).

Our Hope and future expectations are not to be found in this passing world but only in Almighty God and His eternal promises (1 John 2:15-17).

Our Holy admonition from Almighty God is that we are to be Christ’sservants (slave) first, and conservative patriots second. This is the proper order for the child of God (John 1:12) today.
.
Remember my Evangelical Conservative friends, The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and a big bad tribulation (Matt 24) is at our door step called "The Day of the Lord". May the Lord Jesus Christ have first place in our lives and may His glorious Gospel message be proclaimed in these Last Days (1 Cor. 10:31, 2 Cor. 5:17-21).

To God be the glory!

Obama softens on nuclear Iran: Keep components, just promise not to weaponise them

The moderate mien of Iran’s new president Hassan Rouhani has had its intended effect – even before nuclear dialogue began. President Barack Obama had only one demand of Tehran: “Iran would have to demonstrate its own seriousness by agreement not to weaponise nuclear power,” he said Wednesday, Sept. 18. He thus took at his word Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who declared the day before: “We are against nuclear weapons. And when we say no one should have nuclear weapons, we definitely do not pursue it ourselves either.”

The symmetry between the words from Washington and Tehran was perfect in content and timing – and not by chance.

DEBKAfile’s Washington and Iranian sources disclose that it was choreographed in advance.

Obama and Khamenei have been exchanging secret messages through Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman, who visited Tehran in the last week of August and conferred with both Khameini and Rouhani.

In the last message, carried to Tehran by Oman’s Defense Minister Sayyid Badr bin Saud Al Busaidiat, the US president said that Rouhani’s conciliatory gestures towards Washington needed to be backed up by an explicit pledge not to weaponise Iran’s nuclear program.

That pledge must come from the supreme leader in person and delivered publicly to Iran’s most hawkish audience, Revolutionary Guards chiefs.

And indeed, Khamenei acted out his part Tuesday under TV cameras.
Full details of the exchanges going back and both between Washington and Tehran will appear in the coming DEBKA Weekly 603 out Friday, Sept. 20.
They will confirm that the US president has come to terms with a nuclear-capable Iran and will be satisfied with Ayatollah Khamenei’s word that Tehran will not take the last step to actually assemble a bomb.

Our sources note that in his direct secret dialogue with Tehran, Obama is pursuing the same tactics he used for the Syrian chemical issue with Russian President Vladmir Putin: Moving fast forward on the secret track while pretending that the process is still at an early stage and then a sudden leap to target – a particular form of diplomacy consisting of verbal calisthenics.
This pretense was played out at the G20, when the two presidents acted as though they were irreconcilably divided on the Syrian question, while secretly tying up the ends of the chemical accord.

Obama’s willingness to accept Khamenei’s oft-repeated assurance that his country’s nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes – while letting its military program advance to the brink – leaves Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu lagging far behind and his Iranian policy with nowhere to go.

At the Israeli cabinet meeting Tuesday, the prime minister said his White House talks with President Obama on Sept. 30 would focus on Iran and his four demands:

1) Complete halt of uranium enrichment; 2) Removal of enriched materials from Iran; 3) Closure of the Fordo enrichment plant; 4) Termination of plutonium production at Arak.
Notwithstanding the briefing offered by Secretary of State John Kerry when he visited Jerusalem on Sunday, Sept. 15, it looks as though Obama is keeping the Israeli prime minister in the dark on his moves towards Iran.

PROPHECY OF TREMENDOUS FLOODS COMING TO THE EARTH

Median Household Income Has Fallen For FIVE YEARS IN A ROW

Remember Lindsay Williams that said "They are going to destroy middle class"

If the economy is getting better, then why do incomes keep falling?  According to a shocking new report that was just released by the U.S. Census Bureau, median household income (adjusted for inflation) has declined for five years in a row.
This has happened even though the federal government has been borrowing and spending money at an unprecedented rate and the Federal Reserve has been on the most reckless money printing spree in U.S. history.  Despite all of the "emergency measures" that have been taken to "stimulate the economy", things just continue to get worse for average American families.
Americans are working harder than ever, but their paychecks are not reflecting that.  Meanwhile, the cost of everything just keeps going up.  The Federal Reserve insists that inflation is "low", but anyone that goes grocery shopping or that stops at a gas station knows that is a lie.  In fact, if inflation was calculated the exact same way that it was calculated back in 1980, the inflation rate would be somewhere between 8 and 10 percent right now.  Paychecks are being stretched more than ever before, and that is probably the reason why about three-fourths of the entire country is living paycheck to paycheck at this point.
According to the Census report, the high point for median household income in the United States was back in 1999 ($56,080).  It almost got back to that level in 2007 ($55,627), but ever since then there has been a steady decline.  The following figures come directly from the report, and as you can see, median household income has fallen every single year for the past five years...
2007: $55,627
2008: $53,644
2009: $53,285
2010: $51,892
2011: $51,100
2012: $51,017
How far does that number have to go down before we admit that we have a major problem on our hands?
The new Census report also revealed that 46.5 million Americans are living in poverty.  As CNSNews.com noted, this is far higher than when Barack Obama first entered the White House...
During the four years that marked President Barack Obama’s first term in office, the real median income of American households dropped by $2,627 and the number of people on poverty increased by approximately 6,667,000, according to data released today by the Census Bureau.
So why does Obama continue to insist that things are getting better?
Right now, one out of every five households in the United States is on food stamps.
One out of every five.
How bad does it have to get before we acknowledge that what we are doing economically is not working.
Will half of us eventually end up on food stamps?
In addition, the new Census report also says that 48 million Americans are currently without any kind of health insurance whatsoever.
The biggest culprit for this is the stunning decline of employment-based health insurance.  Back in 1999, 64.1 percent of all Americans were covered by employment-based health insurance.  Today, only 54.9 percent are covered by employment-based health insurance.
And of course as I noted yesterday, even more companies are going to be dumping health insurance plans because of Obamacare.
All in all, what we have been witnessing over the past decade and a half is the systematic evisceration of the middle class.
After accounting for inflation, right now 40 percent of all U.S. workers are making less than what a full-time minimum wage worker made back in 1968.
Over the years, our incomes have certainly gone up, but inflation has increased even faster.
Back when I was growing up, $50,000 a year sounded like a whole lot of money.  I thought that anyone should be able to live a very comfortable lifestyle on that amount of money.
Unfortunately, $50,000 a year doesn't go nearly as far as it once did.
If you take the current median household income ($51,017) and divide it up by 12 months, it comes to just a little bit more than $4000 a month.
And as I noted last year, it is not easy for the average American family to do everything that it needs to do on $4000 a month...
So can an average family of four people make it on just $4000 a month?
Well, first of all you have got to take out taxes.  After accounting for all forms of taxation you will be lucky if you have $3000 remaining.
With that $3000, you have to pay for all of the following...
*Housing
*Power
*Water
*Food
*Phone
*Internet
*At Least One Vehicle
*Gasoline
*Vehicle Repairs
*Car Insurance
*Health Insurance
*Dental Bills
*Home Or Rental Insurance
*Life Insurance
*Student Loan Debt Payments
*Credit Card Payments
*Furniture
*Clothing
*Pets
*Entertainment (although it is hard to imagine any money will be left for that)
Have I left anything out?
The truth is that $3000 does not go as far as it used to.
No wonder American families are feeling so stretched financially these days.
The new Census report also noted that the gap between the wealthiest Americans and the rest of us continues to grow.  There is certainly nothing wrong with making money, but if the economy was working properly all Americans should be able to have the opportunity to better themselves.
According to CNBC, the 400 wealthiest Americans now have more money than the poorest 50 percent of all Americans combined.
So why is this happening?  Well, certainly there are a lot of reasons, but in recent years quantitative easing has definitely played a role.  As I noted in my recent article about the Federal Reserve, quantitative easing has been incredibly good for those with stocks and other forms of financial investments.  All of that liquidity has juiced the financial markets, and the extremely wealthy have been loving it.
Meanwhile, things just continue to get even tougher for most of the rest of the American people, and the frightening thing is that the next major wave of the economic collapse has not even hit us yet.
How bad will things be for average American families once that happens?
And there are certainly lots of troubling signs as we get ready to head into the fall season...
-Total mortgage activity has dropped to the lowest level that we have seen since October 2008.
-One of the largest furniture manufacturers in America was just forced into bankruptcy.
-According to the Wall Street Journal, the 2013 holiday shopping season is already being projected to be the worst that we have seen since 2009.
Hopefully the slow and steady economic decline that we have been experiencing will not accelerate into a full-blown avalanche any time soon.
But I would definitely get prepared just in case.
