Child Sacrifice to Moloch
There is a statement found in the book of II Kings that numerous theologians have struggled to understand. It relates to human sacrifice, and I would begin this post by making some examination of this passage. It is often the mistake of Christians today to consider modern society to have advanced intellectually or morally, having cast off the superstitions and idolatries of the ancient nations one reads about in the Old Testament, but this is not so. Worship of false gods, and participation in abominable practices, are just as prevalent today, even more so, than they were in the days of the ancient peoples of the Old Testament. This Luciferian worship has simply taken on different form.
In the book of II Kings we read that, after the death of Ahab, the king of Moab revolted. Moab had formerly been a vassal state, bringing tribute to Israel, but sensing weakness upon the death of Ahab, they rebelled. Jehoram, the king of Israel, entreated Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, and the king of Edom, to join him in battle against the Moabites. These three kings went together against the king of Moab and his people.
As they proceeded to travel some seven days in full battle array, they went through wilderness places where there was no water. Some began to despair that they would perish, whereupon Jehoshaphat asked if there were a prophet of Yahweh to whom they could inquire. He was told that Elisha was nearby, and the kings went to seek the counsel of Yahweh through the prophet. Elisha stated that Yahweh would have no regard for this kingly assemblage if it were not for the presence of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat alone was ha faithful worshiper of Yahweh; His chief transgression being that he repeatedly erred by making alliances with kings who served other gods. Nevertheless, Yahweh had determined that Moab should be judged due to their idolatrous worship and many abominations, and He declared that He would deliver Moab into the hands of the three kings. Yahweh also provided water for their armies in the wilderness.
The three kings overthrew the entire kingdom of Moab. Having slain her warriors, they also cut down all her trees, and cast large stones into every field at the command of Yahweh. The king of Moab made one last attempt to break through the lines of the three kings, but was rebuffed and returned to take refuge inside a walled city. It is at this point that we read the following.
II Kings 3:26-27
When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him 700 men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom; but they could not. Then he took his oldest son who was to reign in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering on the wall. And there came great wrath against Israel, and they departed from him and returned to their own land.
The part of this narration that has been difficult for many Bible scholars and students to understand is the phrase “and there came great wrath against Israel.” Following is how one Bible commentary describes this passage.
Some refer it to the king of Edom's son, whom they say he had taken in that skirmish: but rather it seemed to be his own son, whom he offered to his gods to pacify them: which barbarous cruelty moved the Israelites hearts of pity to depart.

Some other commentaries suggest that the remaining Moabites, observing their king offering his eldest son as a sacrifice to appease their god, were filled with fierce rage at the three kings attacking them, and their wrath was such that the kings abandoned the attack and returned to their own lands. What both of these explanations avoid is attributing wrath to the deity of the Moabites. Many Christians today, especially those in Western nations, avoid what they decry as “spiritualizing.” They seek to find a natural explanation of events, while avoiding any acknowledgment of the very significant role unseen spiritual forces play in this world.
From ancient times it was understood that the gods (actually fallen angels who rule as principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in this world - Ephesians 6:12), could be induced to aid men in their enterprises through means of sacrificing to them. The pagan nations would bring corn, wine, and oil, as well as gold and silver, to entreat their gods to favor them. The prophet Hosea reproved Israel and Judah for following these evil practices by making sacrifices and offerings to false gods.

For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
For those who believe America and western nations are too scientific and advanced in their thinking to practice such things today, I hope to dispel your illusions. Every major building in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States, was dedicated with the laying of the cornerstone in a Masonic ritual. In every occurrence, the Freemasons, many of whom were Congressmen, Presidents, and other national leaders, would offer corn, oil, and wine as part of the ceremony.

The words “So mote it be” may be familiar to some as a phrase used by Satanists, witches, and modern pagans. Following is an excerpt from a website explaining its usage.
Occultist Aleister Crowley used "So mote it be" in some of his writings, and claimed it to be an ancient and magical phrase, but it's possible he borrowed it from the Masons. In Freemasonry, "So mote it be" is the equivalent of "Amen" or "As God wills it to be." Gerald Gardner, the founder of modern Wicca, was also known to have Masonic connections, although there's some question about whether or not he was a Master Mason as he claimed to be. Regardless, it's no surprise that the phrase turns up in contemporary Pagan practice, considering the influence that the Masons had on both Gardner and Crowley.
In modern Wiccan traditions, the phrase often appears as a way of wrapping up a ritual or magical working. It's basically a way of saying, "And so it shall be."

Every major government building in Washington D.C. was dedicated with a Masonic cornerstone laying ceremony. Although Freemasons at the lower levels are intentionally deceived about the institution they have joined themselves to, and are misled about the deeper esoteric meaning of its rituals, oaths, and doctrines, they are nonetheless carrying forth a Luciferian agenda. There are professing Christians today who are attending churches dedicated to Lucifer. The cornerstone is chosen as a symbol of the spiritual power that the building rests upon even as Yahshua the Messiah is declared to be the cornerstone of the true church. The Masons pour out corn, wine, and oil on the cornerstone as an offering to the deity even as the ancient Israelites offered corn, wine, and oil to the pagan deities of the nations around them.
Yahweh told Israel before He brought them into the land of Canaan to not learn or practice the rites and ways of the people they were to dispel from the land. Yahweh’s chosen people failed in this charge. Tragically, many Christians today are following the same pattern as the idolatrous Israelites. They observe the high holy days originated in ancient Babylonian worship of the Sun, Moon and stars such as Christmas, Easter, and Lent, etc.. Some have even dedicated their houses of worship to Lucifer, invoking his favor and presence with the same phrase uttered by Satanists and practitioners of Wicca, “So mote it be.”

When great endeavors, or great assistance from the false gods (fallen angels) was required, a much more costly offering than corn, wine, and oil was required. The greatest sacrifice man could offer to the spiritual forces of wickedness that reign with Satan over this fallen world system, was a human victim whose blood and flesh would be offered to the deity. Satan, and those spiritual forces of wickedness in high places that rule with him, come only to kill, steal and destroy. Yahshua testified of Satan that “he was a murderer from the beginning.”

An offering of corn, wine and oil was insufficient to move the spiritual forces of wickedness to act on their behalf. A much greater sacrifice was required. A human sacrifice. Nor did the king choose a citizen at random from among his people. He chose the heir to the throne, his eldest son, and slew him as a sacrifice to invoke Chemosh, the demon god of the Moabites, to act on their behalf.

There is a war going on among spiritual forces that is unseen to the eye of man. The book of Daniel makes mention of this struggle as the holy angel Gabriel was sent to deliver a message to Daniel. Gabriel was resisted by the spiritual principality known as the Prince of Persia.

There is never any admonition for the saints of God to entreat angels directly to do their bidding. The prayers of Christ’s disciples are to be directed to Yahweh, their heavenly Father. It is Yahweh who will determine whether to send forth angels on behalf of His people. Yahweh chooses the time of the deliverance, provision, and revelation that is granted to His sons and daughters.
(There is a false move afoot in the church today where Christians are being urged to pray to, or command, angels. Such is a work of Satan. The assignment of holy angels is a duty appointed only to Yahweh. Fallen men who would usurp this role do err greatly.)
Daniel was in prayer and fasting to Yahweh for three weeks. It was Yahweh who sent Gabriel, and at the proper moment He also sent Michael. Yahweh is moved by the fervent, and effectual prayers of His people. Christ is our pattern man.

It is not coincidental that America and China are among the most powerful nations on earth at this hour. Satan is the ruler of this fallen world and he gives wealth and status where he desires. Among the nations of this world, America and China are leaders in sacrificing their children. China has since 1979 implemented its one child policy. It is estimated that from 1979 to 2011 this policy has prevented 400 million births. In America, an estimated 50 to 60 million babies have been aborted since 1973 when the Supreme Court made Roe v. Wade the law of the land. Despite great protest, and many promises of politicians over the years to bring an end to this murder of children in the womb, no serious threats have arisen to challenge the practice. Satan demands this sacrifice. That nation that would look to Satan to acquire power must continually offer up this evil sacrifice. It is evident with all of the Masonic influence in key places throughout this nation, its architecture, symbols, laws, and constitution, that America was established as a Luciferian nation.
Now in this late hour we are seeing the evil fruit of Satan’s rule come to full maturity. America is a land of abominations. The blood of tens of millions of babies butchered in clinics throughout the land are crying out for justice. The land is filled with hedonistic men and women to whom pleasure and instant gratification has become their chief pursuit. Homosexuality, murder, child molestation, adultery, fornication, violence, theft, and the perversion of children is rampant.
It is with sadness that I recommend the following article to those who want to know the depths of depravity promoted openly by our government and the agencies it supports as it seeks to subvert the nation’s children.

In the previous post I shared about the ArcelorMittal Orbit and its link to the New Babylon. In the New Babylon men, women and children would pursue unfettered fleshly fulfillment. There would be no moral constraint. Even sexual exploitation of children would be permitted. This is the liberty and freedom that Satan holds forth to men. In actuality, what Satan offers is absolute slavery to the bestial nature.
A couple days ago a sister in Christ sent me a slide show of paintings by Robert Duncan. They are exceptional not only for their quality, but for their subject matter. The images are of family life, creative labor, child rearing, and life on the farm. Satan has worked hard to destroy everything that is pure among mankind, and the family has especially been under attack. What a wicked triumph it is for Satan to take men and women who were created in the image of God and induce them to destroy their children. This is the influence of the governments of the world under the influence of Satan. Yet God would redeem mankind, deliver them from their slavery to sin, and bring forth something that is beautiful. The words “So mote it be” may be familiar to some as a phrase used by Satanists, witches, and modern pagans. Following is an excerpt from a website explaining its usage.
Occultist Aleister Crowley used "So mote it be" in some of his writings, and claimed it to be an ancient and magical phrase, but it's possible he borrowed it from the Masons. In Freemasonry, "So mote it be" is the equivalent of "Amen" or "As God wills it to be." Gerald Gardner, the founder of modern Wicca, was also known to have Masonic connections, although there's some question about whether or not he was a Master Mason as he claimed to be. Regardless, it's no surprise that the phrase turns up in contemporary Pagan practice, considering the influence that the Masons had on both Gardner and Crowley.
In modern Wiccan traditions, the phrase often appears as a way of wrapping up a ritual or magical working. It's basically a way of saying, "And so it shall be."

Every major government building in Washington D.C. was dedicated with a Masonic cornerstone laying ceremony. Today, a great many libraries, county courthouses, and elementary, junior high, and high schools, were dedicated by a Masonic cornerstone laying ceremony. Although Freemasons at the lower levels are intentionally deceived about the institution they have joined themselves to, and are misled about the deeper esoteric meaning of its rituals, oaths, and doctrines, they are nonetheless carrying forth a Luciferian agenda. There are professing Christians today who are attending churches dedicated to Lucifer. The cornerstone is chosen as a symbol of the spiritual power that the building rests upon even as Yahshua the Messiah is declared to be the cornerstone of the true church. The Masons pour out corn, wine, and oil on the cornerstone as an offering to the deity even as the ancient Israelites offered corn, wine, and oil to the pagan deities of the nations around them.
Yahweh told Israel before He brought them into the land of Canaan to not learn or practice the rites and ways of the people they were to dispel from the land. Yahweh’s chosen people failed in this charge. Tragically, many Christians today are following the same pattern as the idolatrous Israelites. They observe the high holy days originated in ancient Babylonian worship of the Sun, Moon and stars such as Christmas, Easter, and Lent, etc.. Some have even dedicated their houses of worship to Lucifer, invoking his favor and presence with the same phrase uttered by Satanists and practitioners of Wicca, “So mote it be.”

When great endeavors, or great assistance from the false gods (fallen angels) was required, a much more costly offering than corn, wine, and oil was required. The greatest sacrifice man could offer to the spiritual forces of wickedness that reign with Satan over this fallen world system, was a human victim whose blood and flesh would be offered to the deity. Satan, and those spiritual forces of wickedness in high places that rule with him, come only to kill, steal and destroy. Yahshua testified of Satan that “he was a murderer from the beginning.”
The king of Moab and his people were in great need as the three kings pressed them sorely. An offering of corn, wine and oil was insufficient to move the spiritual forces of wickedness to act on their behalf. A much greater sacrifice was required. A human sacrifice. Nor did the king choose a citizen at random from among his people. He chose the heir to the throne, his eldest son, and slew him as a sacrifice to invoke Chemosh, the demon god of the Moabites, to act on their behalf.

The name of the father of Mesha, Chemosh-melek ("Chemosh is Malik" or "Chemosh is king"; compare Moabite Stone, line 1), indicates the possibility that Chemosh and Malik (or Moloch) were one and the same deity. There is a war going on among spiritual forces that is unseen to the eye of man. The book of Daniel makes mention of this struggle as the holy angel Gabriel was sent to deliver a message to Daniel. Gabriel was resisted by the spiritual principality known as the Prince of Persia.

The “kings of Persia” to whom Gabriel refers are fallen angels who are assigned to specific regions of the earth. Satan has a very orderly kingdom. There are powerful angels who have joined themselves to him in his rebellion. At the same time, Yahweh has assigned holy angels to accomplish His will upon the earth, and to guard and shepherd His people.

But to which of the angels has He ever said: "Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool"? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister to those who will inherit salvation?
There is never any admonition for the saints of God to entreat angels directly to do their bidding. The prayers of Christ’s disciples are to be directed to Yahweh, their heavenly Father. It is Yahweh who will determine whether to send forth angels on behalf of His people. Yahweh chooses the time of the deliverance, provision, and revelation that is granted to His sons and daughters.
(There is a false move afoot in the church today where Christians are being urged to pray to, or command, angels. Such is a work of Satan. The assignment of holy angels is a duty appointed only to Yahweh. Fallen men who would usurp this role do err greatly.)
Daniel was in prayer and fasting to Yahweh for three weeks. It was Yahweh who sent Gabriel, and at the proper moment He also sent Michael. Yahweh is moved by the fervent, and effectual prayers of His people. Christ is our pattern man.

To get him to act, he requires sacrifice, even human sacrifice.

It is not coincidental that America and China are among the most powerful nations on earth at this hour. Satan is the ruler of this fallen world and he gives wealth and status where he desires. Among the nations of this world, America and China are leaders in sacrificing their children. China has since 1979 implemented its one child policy. It is estimated that from 1979 to 2011 this policy has prevented 400 million births. In America, an estimated 50 to 60 million babies have been aborted since 1973 when the Supreme Court made Roe v. Wade the law of the land. Despite great protest, and many promises of politicians over the years to bring an end to this murder of children in the womb, no serious threats have arisen to challenge the practice. Satan demands this sacrifice. That nation that would look to Satan to acquire power must continually offer up this evil sacrifice. It is evident with all of the Masonic influence in key places throughout this nation, its architecture, symbols, laws, and constitution, that America was established as a Luciferian nation.
Now in this late hour we are seeing the evil fruit of Satan’s rule come to full maturity. America is a land of abominations. The blood of tens of millions of babies butchered in clinics throughout the land are crying out for justice. The land is filled with hedonistic men and women to whom pleasure and instant gratification has become their chief pursuit. Homosexuality, murder, child molestation, adultery, fornication, violence, theft, and the perversion of children is rampant.

In the previous post I shared about the ArcelorMittal Orbit and its link to the New Babylon. In the New Babylon men, women and children would pursue unfettered fleshly fulfillment. There would be no moral constraint. Even sexual exploitation of children would be permitted. This is the liberty and freedom that Satan holds forth to men. In actuality, what Satan offers is absolute slavery to the bestial nature.
A couple days ago a sister in Christ sent me a slide show of paintings by Robert Duncan. They are exceptional not only for their quality, but for their subject matter. The images are of family life, creative labor, child rearing, and life on the farm. Satan has worked hard to destroy everything that is pure among mankind, and the family has especially been under attack. What a wicked triumph it is for Satan to take men and women who were created in the image of God and induce them to destroy their children. This is the influence of the governments of the world under the influence of Satan. Yet God would redeem mankind, deliver them from their slavery to sin, and bring forth something that is beautiful. War games: Tel Aviv missile drill
Preparing for escalation? Security officials are taking the threat of long-range rockets being fired at central Israel from the Gaza Strip seriously, and have decided to hold a drill to prepare for such scenario.
The exercise, to be held in the Tel Aviv area next month, will simulate rocket attacks on central Israel that are not undertaken in the framework of an all-out regional war, unlike previous missile drills.
The "Hit to the Heart" drill will be held on March 14 in the form of a war game held by senior officials and simulating rocket attacks launched without prior warning.
The exercise will involve the National Emergency Authority, IDF Home Front Command, the national information headquarters, Israel Police, Magen David Adom emergency services, the Ministry of Public Security and the Education Ministry.
Rocket to 'hit' mall
According to the scenario to be simulated, immediately after an anti-rocket siren throughout central Israel the Home Front Command’s hotline will receive tens of thousands of calls from residents wondering why the siren sounded and seeking further instructions.
In the framework of the drill, two minutes after the siren will sound, two rockets will be landing in the center of the country – one in Ramat Gan’s Ayalon Mall and the other in southern Tel Aviv.
As the war game is aimed for senior commanders, no actual siren will be activated and the public will not be asked to take part in the exercise.
At this time,Hamas is believed to possess Fajr-5 rockets that are capable of reaching central Israel. The IDF’s Iron Dome anti-rocket system is meant to provide protection against such incoming missiles.

Broad Risk-Off Day - Apart From Stocks
Today was another tale of two worlds as stocks outperformed everything as broadly speaking risk assets leaked notably lower post Europe's close and accelerated post Nowotny. Financials led the exuberance (in stocks not credit) on a day when volume was certainly not terrible and credit market indices tracked stocks (ES) almost tick for tick (which along with desk chatter suggested little activity in credit today as credit dealers reracked along with futures movements). HYG dipped significantly into the close - after a decent drop in the middle of the day that was saved - only to be held up by its VWAP. For the second day in a row, VIX closed higher on a higher S&P close and implied correlation is sending those trend fade warnings once again but it was the broad-based disregard for any and every other asset class today (by stocks) - as Treasuries remained near their low yields of the day, Crude, Gold and the commodity complex all sold off, FX carry reverted back to risk-off after Europe closed, and apart from a minor leak higher in the last hour bond curves were notably flatter - that was surprising (and unusual in recent weeks/months). In the medium-term, credit remains considerably less sanguine than stocks here and the late day disappointment from Nowotny ahead of LTRO2 may have just taken the jam out of the equity market's doughnut for now.
The trading day seemed broken into 5 segments. Through the European market (early morning), risk was leaking lower broadly speaking as all asset classes stayed together. Then around 8am ET, Crude and Gold took off while the rest of risk assets deteriorated (looked like a QE/LTRO trade), then as the US opened, risk assets awoke broadly even as Treasuries remained at their low yields of the day. This print-fest-prone action lasted until Europe closed at which all momentum was lost. Stocks leaked higher as broad risk assets drifted lower (and Treasuries remained bid). Then finally Nowotny's comments incited some realization that the ECB is really not (at least not yet) a bottomless pit of money for everyone to borrow and lever forever, which saw commodities leg lower, USD leak higher, VIX accelerate higher (inverted on the chart), and even stocks give some back (as AAPL and the financials also gave some back right at the death).
HYG tried and failed in the middle of the day to sell-off as once again a decent drop was saved from nowhere (as it crossed Friday's closing VWAP and today's VWAP at the time). Credit indices tracked rather remarkably well to ES for a change, suggesting little actual flow occurring - although we do note that when HYG dipped, so IG and HY were also underperforming - only to catch up at the close.
Trying to put today's equity strength in CONTEXT, the following charts may help. Upper left shows the equity ETF (SPY) diverging upwards notably away from its empirical relationship with Vol (VXX), rates (TLT), and credit (HYG). Upper right shows the more broad-based CONTEXT (our proxy for risk assets overall) deteriorating from around the European market close - even as stocks leaked higher and higher.
In the lower left, our VIX model (based on equity/credit/vol relationships) was once again very informative as the aggressive open to VIX (over 19%) was well above where equity and credit would have thought. VIX compressed back to 'fair' but there was a clear demand for macro-protection as it pushed higher into and after the European market close. The last hour of the day saw correlations (lower right chart) start to pick up once again as equities regained some sanity and drofted lower with risk assets.
FX was volatile with a slow drift lower (vs USD) broadly into the US open (aside from JPY which gained over 1% from Friday's close). AUD rallied handsomely to drive broad risk assets up on carry but as Europe closed all that exuberance faded once again and we limped lower in JPY and USD and sideways in EUR and DXY broadly - to end with the USD +0.2% or so from Friday's close.
Commodities were extremely volatile as tomorrow's LTRO print-fest remains front-and-center. WTI wobbled around $108-109 but eventually lost $108 post Nowotny - even though the Brent-WTI spread was stable around $15.5 all day (since Thursday now). Gold is modestly down (along with Silver) as they tracked USD's moves with a higher beta today.
Treasuries rallied almost 7bps in the long-bond today before giving a little back into the close and 2s10s30s dropped 4-5bps overall dragging risk off in general.

Loan Bubble To Exceed $1 Trillion: "It's Going To Create A Generation Of Wage Slavery" And Another Taxpayer Bailout
While one of the biggest complaints of #OccupyWallStreet protesters, and much of the balance of middle-class America, continues to be the burden of student loans, the paradox is that, as the USA Today reports once again on one of its favorite subjects, student loans are set to surpass $1 trillion in total notional for the first time in history on what appears to be relentless demand and interest for this cheap form of educational financing, making this debt burden the single largest form of consumer debt, well bigger than outstanding credit card debt, and smaller only compared to mortgage debt. "The amount of student loans taken out last year crossed the $100 billion mark for the first time and total loans outstanding will exceed $1 trillion for the first time this year. Americans now owe more on student loans than on credit cards, reports the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Students are borrowing twice what they did a decade ago after adjusting for inflation, the College Board reports. Total outstanding debt has doubled in the past five years — a sharp contrast to consumers reducing what's owed on home loans and credit cards." What explains this insatiable demand for this kind of debt? Well, it's cheap, it's easily accessible (the collateral is education), and it is fungible - a student can take out a loan, yet use part or all of the balance for tangential purchases (that iPhone 4S sure would make me cool). But this, like every other debt, comes at a price.

Taxpayers and other lenders have little risk of losing money on the loans, unlike mortgages made during the real estate bubble. Congress has given the lenders, the government included, broad collection powers, far greater than those of mortgage or credit card lenders. The debt can't be shed in bankruptcy.
The credit risk falls on young people who will start adult life deeper in debt, a burden that could place a drag on the economy in the future.
"Students who borrow too much end up delaying life-cycle events such as buying a car, buying a home, getting married (and) having children," says Mark Kantrowitz, publisher of FinAid.org.
Naturally, just like in the credit bubble days, when NINJA loans were fast and furious, the lines in front of banks stretched around the block. Banks may or may not have known that the loans would be repaid, but nobody pressured borrowers to live in that big McMansion that "demanded" $1 down and a 99.9% LTV. Sure enough, when the day of reckoning comes, it is never the fault of the person who probably should have shown some restraint, but no: after all everyone else is doing it.
Well, it is the same thing now. And with generations of people indoctrinated that only those with a college degree can be successful, it is only obvious that student debt is now the next big bubble.
"It's going to create a generation of wage slavery," says Nick Pardini, a Villanova University graduate student in finance who has warned on a blog for investors that student loans are the next credit bubble — with borrowers, rather than lenders, as the losers.
Full-time undergraduate students borrowed an average $4,963 in 2010, up 63% from a decade earlier after adjusting for inflation, the College Board reports. What's happening:

A key reason why a preponderance of the population is fascinated with the student loan market is that as USA Today reported in a landmark piece last year, it is now bigger than ever the credit card market. And as the monthly consumer debt update from the Fed reminds us, the primary source of funding is none other than the US government. To many, this market has become the biggest credit bubble in America. Why do we make a big deal out of this? Because as Bloomberg reported last night, we now have prima facie evidence that the student loan market is not only an epic bubble, but it is also the next subprime! To wit: "Vince Sampson, president, Education Finance Council, said during a panel at the IMN ABS East Conference in Miami Monday that lenders are no longer pushing loans to people who can’t afford them." Re-read the last sentence as many times as necessary for it to sink in. Yes: just like before lenders were "pushing loans to people who can't afford them" which became the reason for the subprime bubble which has since spread to prime, but was missing the actual confirmation from authorities of just this action, this time around we have actual confirmation that student loans are being actually peddled to people who can not afford them. And with the government a primary source of lending, we will be lucky if tears is all this ends in.
So... debtors know it's a bubble, lenders know it's a bubble, everyone knows it's a bubble, yet it is growing faster now than ever before.
If nothing this is a fantastic exercise in observing a slow at first, then fast-motion train wreck from the side. It is without a shadow of a doubt, that not only will the student debt bubble pop, but writedowns on amounts outstanding will be massive, potentially resulting in another hit of 50% to total notionals, or about $500 billion. And since the borrowers will be fully tapped out, and the lenders will plead ignorance, and control the regulators and administration any way, is there any doubt who will once again be forced to pay for this upcoming bail out? This is something that does notrequire a college degree to figure out...

Israelis don't plan to notify Us if decision made to strike Iran
Israeli officials say they won't warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, one U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions told the Associated Press. The pronouncement, delivered in a series of private, top-level conversations, sets a tense tone ahead of meetings in the coming days at the White House and Capitol Hill.
Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel's potential attack. The U.S. has been working with the Israelis for months to persuade them that an attack would be only a temporary setback to Iran's nuclear program.

Iran claims its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but the International Atomic Energy Agency has raised alarms that its uranium enrichment program might be a precursor to building nuclear weapons. The US has said it does not know whether the government has decided to weaponize its nuclear material and put it on a missile or other delivery device.
The secret warning is likely to worry US officials and begin the high level meetings with Israel and the US far apart on how to handle Iran.
But the apparent decision to keep the U.S. in the dark also stems from Israel's frustration with the White House. After a visit by National Security Adviser Tom Donilon in particular, they became convinced the Americans would neither take military action, nor go along with unilateral action by Israel against Iran. The Israelis concluded they would have to conduct a strike unilaterally -- a point they are likely to hammer home in a series of meetings over the next two weeks in Washington, the official said.
Barak will meet with top administration and congressional officials during his visit. Netanyahu arrives in Washington for meetings with President Barack Obama next week.
The behind-the-scenes warning belies the publicly united front the two sides have attempted to craft with the shuttle diplomacy to each other's capitals.
"It's unprecedented outreach to Israel to make sure we are working together to develop the plan to deter Iran from developing a nuclear weapon," and to keep them from exporting terrorism, said Maryland Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee.
He traveled there with the intelligence committee chairman, Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., to meet Israel's prime minister and defense minister, along with other officials.
"We talked about the fact that sanctions are working and they are going to get a lot more aggressive," Ruppersberger added.
They also discussed talked about presenting a unified front to Iran, to counter the media reports that the two countries are at odds over how and when to attack Iran.
"We have to learn from North Korea. All those (peace) talks and stalling and they developed a nuclear weapon," he said. "We are going to send a message, enough is enough, the stalling is over. ... All options are on the table."
"I got the sense that Israel is incredibly serious about a strike on their nuclear weapons program," Rogers told CNN on Monday. "It's their calculus that the administration ... is not serious about a real military consequence to Iran moving forward.
"They believe they're going to have to make a decision on their own, given the current posture of the United States," he added.
U.S. intelligence and special operations officials have tried to keep a dialogue going with Israel, despite the high-level impasse, sharing with them options such as allowing Israel to use U.S. bases in the region from which to launch such a strike, as a way to make sure the Israelis give the Americans a heads-up, according to the U.S. official, and a former U.S. official with knowledge of the communications
Cooperation has improved on sharing of intelligence in the region, according to one current and one former U.S. official. Israel is providing key information on Syria for instance, now that the U.S. has closed its embassy and pulled out both its diplomats and intelligence officials stationed there, the U.S. official said.

The concept of Chrislam, now embraced by such preachers as Rick Warren and Robert Schuller, appears to have emerged from a program on the meaning of “love your neighbor” at Grace Fellowship Church in Atlanta, Georgia “In 2001, like most Americans, we were pretty awakened to the true Islamic presence in the world and in the United States,” says Jon Stallsmith, the outreach minister at Grace Fellowship. “Jesus says we should love our neighbors. We can’t do that without having a relationship with them.”
Stallsmith maintains that a rapprochement between Muslims and Christians can be achieved by the fact that Jesus is mentioned twenty-five times in the Quran.
The Chrislam movement has gained impetus by statements from President George W. Bush and that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God and by Rick Warren’s reference to Isa (the Muslim name for Jesus) in his prayer at the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Only 30 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Muslims, according to a Pew Forum poll. At the same time, more than half the country says they know “not very much” or “nothing at all” about the Islamic faith. “The recent political developments and the fact that we’re fighting two wars in Muslim countries should sharpen that need to know how to talk to these guys,” Stallsmith insists “We want to find peace, reconciliation around a scriptural understanding of Jesus.”

3 doomsaying experts who foresee economic devasation ahead
NEW YORK – Behind the mainstream Wall Street happy talk about more stable financial markets and an improving economy are grim warnings of tough times ahead from a small cadre of doomsayers who warn that the worst of the financial crisis is still to come.
Harry Dent, author of the new book The Great Crash Ahead, says another stock market crash is coming due to a bad ending to the global debt bubble. He has pulled back on his earlier prediction of a crash in 2012, as central banks around the world have been flooding markets with money, giving stocks an artificial short-term boost. But a crash is coming in 2013 or 2014, he warns. "This will be a repeat of 2008-09, only bigger, when it finally hits," Dent told USA TODAY.
Gerald Celente, a trend forecaster at the Trends Research Institute, says Americans should brace themselves for an "economic 9/11" due to policymakers' inability to solve the world's financial and economic woes. The coming meltdown, he predicts, will lead to growing social unrest and anti-government sentiment, aU.S. dollar with far less purchasing power and more people out of work.
Celente won't rule out another financial panic that could spark enough fear to cause a run on the nation's banks by depositors. That risk could cause the government to invoke "economic martial law" and call a "bank holiday" and close banks as it did during the Great Depression.
"We see some kind of threat of that magnitude," Celente, publisher of The Trends Journal newsletter, warned in an interview.
Robert Prechter, author of Conquer the Crash, first published in 2002 and updated in 2009, is still bearish. He says today's economy has similarities to the Great Depression and warns that 1930s-style deflation is still poised to cause financial havoc. Prechter predicts that the major U.S. stock indexes, such as the Dow Jones industrials and Standard & Poor's 500, will plunge below their bear market lows hit in March 2009 during the last financial crisis. The brief recovery will fail as it did in the 1930s, he says.
2 very different viewpoints
If he's right, stocks would lose more than half of their value. "The economic recovery has been weak, so the next downturn should generate bad news in a big way," Prechter said in an e-mail interview. "For the third time in a dozen years, the stock market is in a very bearish position."
These dire forecasts differ sharply with the brighter outlooks being espoused by the bulls, or optimists, on Wall Street. Recent stock performance and fresh readings on the economy also suggest a future that is less gloomy than the doomsayers predict.
The Dow, for instance, is in rebound mode and has climbed back to levels not seen since the early days of the financial crisis in May 2008. Tech stocks in the Nasdaq composite are trading at levels last seen in 2000. Data on auto sales, manufacturing and consumer confidence have been firming. Job creation is also on the rise. The unemployment rate dipped to 8.3% in January, its lowest level in three years.
As a result, stock market strategists such as Rod Smyth of RiverFront Investment have been raising their outlooks for 2012. Smyth raised his target range for the S&P 500 to 1250-1500. If the market hits the top of the range, stocks would have risen 10%. Similarly, Brian Belski, strategist at Oppenheimer, recently said he remains comfortable with his year-end 2012 target of 1400. That's up 2.5% from here. Bespoke Investment Group published research that shows the market, which is closing in on a new bull market high, has done well in the past once it breaks through old highs.
Bulls are betting that Europe's banking system will be stabilized, minimizing the risk of a severe credit crisis. Bulls are also encouraged by recent data from around the world that show modest growth and a pickup in economic momentum.
The causes of economic calamity
So what has the super-bears so worried?
Dent says the combination of aging Baby Boomers exiting their big spending years and a shift toward debt reduction and austerity around the world will cause the economy to suffer another severe leg down, making it more difficult for the government and Federal Reserve to avert a new meltdown. He has not always been bearish. In 1993 he wrote The Great Boom Ahead.
Celente, who as far back as 2008 has been warning of economic calamity, argues that the ballooning debt and the growing divide between the haves and have-nots has put the U.S. in a weakened state.
As a result, he says, the nation is more vulnerable to potential shocks. He worries about potential chaos caused by people all trying to yank their money out of financial markets at the same time. He also sees risk in the event there is a loss of confidence in elected leaders.
Societal unrest in the form of street protests and increased crime are possible, too, he adds. Markets could also be spooked by an oil price shock due to a military conflict between Israel and Iran, or a bad outcome to Europe's debt crisis.
"2012 is when many of the long-simmering socioeconomic and political trends that we have been forecasting and tracking will climax," Celente noted in his Top 12 Trends 2012 newsletter. In an interview he added: "When money stops flowing to the man on the street, blood starts flowing in the street."
While bulls are urging investors to get back into stocks, the doomsayers are advising a far different strategy. Dent's investment advice is simple: "Get out of the way." He recommends buying short-term U.S. Treasury bills and the U.S. dollar, which will benefit from safe-haven cash flows. He says stocks will fall sharply in value.
Celente's advice centers on survival. He says buy gold so you don't lose purchasing power when the value of the dollar plummets. He says buy a gun to protect your family against desperate people in search of food and money. He says plan a getaway to places with more stable finances and governments.
Prechter says to keep your powder dry and buy when things get really bad: "When things get really scary, as in early 2009, I get bullish."

Would you rather live in the America of 1950 or the America of 2012? Has the United States changed for the better over the last 62 years? Many fondly remember the 1950s and the 1960s as the "golden age" of America. We emerged from World War II as the wealthiest and most powerful nation on the planet. During that time period, just about anyone that wanted to get a job could find a job and the U.S. middle class expanded rapidly. Back in 1950, America was still considered to be a "land of opportunity" and the economy was growing like crazy. There was less crime, there was less divorce, the American people had much less debt and the world seemed a whole lot less crazy. Most of the rest of the world deeply admired us and wanted to be more like us. Of course there were a lot of things that were not great about America back in 1950, and there are many things that many of us dearly love that we would have to give up in order to go back and live during that time. For example, there was no Internet back in 1950. Instead of being able to go online and read the articles that you want to read, your news would have been almost entirely controlled by the big media companies of the day. So there are definitely some advantages that we have today that they did not have back in 1950. But not all of the changes have been for the better. America is in a constant state of change, and many are deeply concerned about where all of these changes are taking us.
There has never been any society in the history of the world that has been perfect. America was flawed in 1950 just as America is flawed today.
But that doesn't mean that we should not reflect on how much things have changed over the past 62 years.

We have a higher standard of living than Americans in 1950 did, but we are also drowning in an ocean of debt unlike anything the world has ever seen.

Syrian regime threatens Christians, clamps down on churches
As part of its campaign against all pro-democracy activists, the Syrian regime has been persecuting Christian citizens and clergy who take part in the revolution or help the revolutionaries.
The Syrian regime issued instructions to all banks across the country to stop transactions with the Greek Orthodox Mariamite Church on charges of money laundry, said a Christian activist from the southwestern governorate of Rif Dimashq.
“This step was taken right after the church started receiving money from churches abroad to support Syrian revolutionaries,” he said.
The activist added that security forces killed Christian activist Friday Hossam Mikhail for links with the Free Syrian Army.
“A few weeks ago, the Syrian army also killed priest Basilius Nassar and state TV held terrorist groups accountable for his death.”
Nassar, the activist explained, used to deliver food to areas attacked by the Syrian army and was helping doctors out in Hama.
The activist added that according to a priest who worked with him, Nassar was killed while rescuing a victim of an army attack in the Jarajmah neighborhood in Hama.
Syrian forces also fired a non-explosive missile at the Convent of our Lady of Saidnaya north of the capital Damascus after knowing that its monks were involved in delivering medicine and supplies to bombed areas.
In addition to delivering supplies to victims, several churches in Damascus and other Syrian cities have been giving lectures against the Syrian regime and its brutal repression of peaceful protestors.
Three months ago, Syrian revolutionaries declared their solidarity with Father Paolo Dall’Oglio, an Italian monk who has for 20 years been the abbot of the monastery of Mar Musa in Rif Dimashq after Syrian authorities asked him to leave the country citing involvement in “activities unrelated to his job,” in reference to supporting the revolution.
Under the slogan “Syria is your homeland Paolo,” Syrian youths took to the streets in support of Dall’Oglio. The priest was finally allowed to stay in Syria after pledging not to speak about politics again.
Individual Christian activists are also harassed by the regime as many of them are summoned for interrogation on almost monthly basis while others receive threats whether directly or through their family members to stop taking part in the revolution or be killed.
This drove several Christians to leave the country like activist Yara Nosseir who took part in protests and relief in Christian neighborhoods in Damascus like al-Qasaa, Baba Toma, and Bab Sharqi.
In the beginning of the protests, the Syrian regime tried to win Christians to its side like it did with other minorities in the country. The regime tried to convince those minorities that protests aim at dividing the country along sectarian lines and that the regime would protect them.
That is why the first months of the Syrian revolution saw several monks and priests from neighboring countries issue statements in support of the Syrian regime. Shortly after, however, the situation started changing with many priests arguing that since Christianity is a religion of love, justice, and equality, its clergy in Syria cannot support the killing of innocent civilians who are fighting tyranny.
Several Christians also started realizing the hollowness of the regime’s words as they were reminded of the Syrian constitution’s stipulation that the president of the country should be Muslim, an article that also enraged several Muslim activists, who agreed with Christians that the presidency is a national and not a sectarian matter.
Christians were more outraged at the regime after security forces attacked the historic Syriac Orthodox Um al-Zennar Church in Homs and stole its contents. This incident was followed by a remarkable participation of Christians in anti-regime protests.
Anti-regime Christians have also established dozens of pages on the social networking website Facebook and which are all dedicated to posting news and videos about the revolution.
Despite the increasingly prominent presence of Christians in pro-democracy protests, several activists still argue that it is not enough.
George Sabra, member of the General Secretariat of the Syrian National Council, attributed the relatively weak participation of Syrian Christians in anti-regime protests to the church’s stance.
“The fact that the church has not yet taken a clear position on the revolution makes many Christians still reluctant to take part in the protests,” he said to Al Arabiya in an earlier interview.
Many members of the Christian community in Syria, Sabra added, still take the regime’s side.
“As for Christians who have already become part of the opposition, these are mainly from the elite rather than the masses.”
