A Time to Fear God
Joseph Herrin (05-04-2012)
Please take a moment to read the following verses with understanding before proceeding further.
Hebrews 4:1
Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.
Romans 11:20-22
Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either. Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
Hebrews 2:1-3
For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it. For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?
Hebrews 12:25-29
See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven... Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and godly fear; for our God is a consuming fire.
There is a false depiction of Yahweh presented to the church today. He is described as a God who wants you to be happy, who is ever loving, and full of mercy. The kindness of God is presented to those who attend the churches today, while His severity is ignored. In an hour when Christ’s church is being shaken, when hidden faults are being exposed (consider the parable of the Christchurch earthquakes), when many churches built by man will not stand, the saints of God need to walk in the fear of God. There is a need to be focused upon offering to God an acceptable service with reverence and godly fear.
Today, the preaching of many ministers would indicate that any service offered to God is acceptable in His sight. The standard of service offered to Yahweh by the church has hit bottom because there is no fear of God before man’s eyes.
It is not possible for the saint to exist in such an environment and not feel the degrading pull of its influence. I have written recently of Yahweh’s chastisement of my life. He broke my leg when I was carelessly sating the desires of the flesh. I had taken a casual attitude about obeying the Father in the things He had spoken to me about ruling over the appetites of the flesh. The moment my leg broke the fear of God was renewed in me. I understood that Yahweh would hold me to a stricter judgment. I am a teacher of His people declaring to them the need to deny themselves and follow Christ. Yet, it is not just teachers who need to walk in the fear of Yahweh at this time. Judgment is at the door of the house of God. Yahweh is examining His people and His hand of correction will pass-over only where He finds that His sons and daughters have given heed to removing sin from their lives, seeking a conformity to Christ who always lived to do the Father’s will.
The Spirit within me would lead me to stir you up. Now is not the hour for complacency, for careless living, nor to offer to God a lukewarm devotion. We stand at the end of the age. Satan’s kingdom is rising. Babylon is being built in the earth. Just this past week the major news outlets all ran stories on the One World Trade Center’s progress. The roof of the building is now higher than that of the Empire State Building. It is the tallest building in New York City, and will soon be the tallest building in America.
Artist’s Rendering of the Finished One World Trade Tower
You can read more on what is signified by this building being constructed at the following link:
http://parablesblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/babylon-rising.html
Babylon, the kingdom of Satan in this world, is built by ascending upwards in pride through the work of men’s hands. In contrast, Zion, the kingdom of Yahweh and of His Christ, is built as men abase themselves, walking in the fear of Yahweh, giving reverence to their Creator and offering to Him service that is worthy. We must decrease that Christ might increase in us.
Among Yahweh’s remnant there are those who are being led lower. While the majority in the church are still focused on prosperity, ease, and material blessing, there are those who are being asked to empty themselves, to accept a more humble life, to abase themselves freely at the leading of the Holy Spirit. When God shakes all things it is the humble who will be spared from falling. They will already be walking in lowliness and humility of mind before the Father.
Satan’s kingdom is visibly being built in the earth. Even as the One World Trade Tower is rising there are great strides being made to bring the entire world under one world governance. Additionally, the sovereign strength of individual nations is being eroded through financial and political means. Soon a great worldwide financial crisis will strike and one can be assured that a proposed solution will already be prepared. This solution to the world’s crisis will be the implementation of a unified world monetary system. Such a system will require global governance to be imposed upon all nations. Such is Satan’s plan to establish a visible single government over the entire world. This transition will only be achieved through great disruptions of peace, and prosperity. The earth will reel under the chaos that ensues when people’s money is devalued and their freedoms curtailed. Riots, rebellions, and insurrections will give the globalists the justification they need to implement martial law and to re-write the laws of sovereign nations.
Those observing the acts of Congress and the President can see a steady preparation for a planned time of civil unrest. In January President Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act for 2012. This was followed in March by his signing of the National Defense Resources Preparedness Act. Congresswoman Kay Granger from Colorado has posted the following statement on her official website.
Dear Friend,
With all that is going in Washington these days some things don’t make the news the way they should. Fourteen days ago President Obama issued an Executive Order that you should know about. This order gives an unprecedented level of authority to the President and the federal government to take over all the fundamental parts of our economy - in the name of national security - in times of national emergency.
This means all of our water resources, construction services and materials (steel, concrete, etc.), our civil transportation system, food and health resources, our energy supplies including oil and natural gas – even farm equipment – can be taken over by the President and his cabinet secretaries. The Government can also draft U.S. citizens into the military and force U.S. citizens to fulfill "labor requirements" for the purposes of "national defense." There is not even any Congressional oversight, only briefings are required.
By issuing this as an Executive Order the President puts the federal government above the law, which, in a democracy, is never supposed to happen...

The mainstream media has been silent when it comes to speaking out against the threats to people’s freedoms that are occurring with increasing regularity. Let the wakened Christian understand that there are great dislocations of life near at hand. The Spirit has been testifying of days of tribulation to come. He has been encouraging Christians to yield their lives to be led of Him that they might learn now what it is to stand in faith and trust in the Father.
This is an hour when all Christians should be walking carefully. Heed the voice of the Spirit. Obey quickly and thoroughly those things the Father is speaking. Put away from yourself all sin and self-indulgence. Humble yourselves now that perhaps you might be hidden in the day of His wrath.
It is the by the will of Yahweh that the nations have been given into the hands of wicked men skilled in destruction. The freedoms and prosperity of the nations have been used to pursue a course of abominations and sensuality. The church has been swept away in its pursuit of the world and the things in it. The hour is near at hand for Satan to wrest control of all things. Though he masquerades as a bringer of peace and a lover of mankind, he comes only to kill, steal and destroy.
Do you perceive the hour you live in? Do you suppose that the legislation mentioned above was passed without foresight and planning in anticipation of its being needed soon? Wake-up! Yet in your wakefulness do not act rashly out of fear, or be led by the impulses of your soul. Press into God. Ask Him to prepare you for this day and hour. Do not suppose that the preparation will be material only. Yahweh is above all else seeking to purge, purify and refine a people in anticipation of His Son’s soon appearing.
Let us walk in the fear of God.
There Are 100 Million Working Age Americans That Do Not Have Jobs
The unemployment crisis in America is much worse than you are being told. Did you know that there are 100 million working age Americans that do not get up in the morning and go to work? No wonder why it seems like there are so many people that do not have jobs! According to the federal government, there are 12.6 million working age Americans that are considered to be "officially" unemployed, but there are another 87.8 million working age Americans that are not working either. The federal government considers those Americans to be "not in the labor force" so they are not included in the unemployment rate. In fact, this is one of the key ways that the government manipulates the unemployment numbers. The Obama administration would have us believe that the unemployment rate is going down and that that since the start of the last recession about as many Americans have left the labor force as we saw during the entire decades of the 1980s and 1990s combined. Of course that is a bunch of nonsense, but that is what the Obama administration would have us believe. The truth is that the percentage of working age Americans that are employed is just about the same right now as it was two years ago. It was incredibly difficult to get a job back then and it is incredibly difficult to get a job right now. So don't believe the hype that things are getting much better. If you still do have a good job, you might want to hold on to it tightly, because there is not much hope that things are going to improve significantly any time soon.
The first chart that I have posted below shows the total number of "officially" unemployed workers in America. According to the Federal Reserve, that number is currently 12,673,000. This chart makes it look like the employment picture in America is getting significantly better....
But if you dig deeper into the numbers you quickly see that this is not true. A lot of those workers that were formerly classified as "unemployed" have now been moved into the "not in labor force" category. Since the start of the last recession, the number of Americans not in the labor force has risen by more than 8 million according to the Obama administration. The total number of working age Americans not in the labor force now stands at 87,897,000....
So when you add 12,673,000 and 87,897,000, you get a total of 100,570,000 working age Americans that do not have jobs.
Yes, there are certainly millions upon millions of working age Americans that do not have jobs and that do not want jobs.
But you have to be delusional to believe that there are nearly 88 million working age Americans that do not have jobs and that do not want jobs.
The Obama administration tells us that the labor force participation rate is now the lowest it has been since 1984. But back then, a very large percentage of women were staying home and raising families. The percentage of stay at home mothers has declined steadily since then.
So the truth is that the employment statistics that we are being fed are not portraying an accurate picture of what is really going on.
As a CNN article recently explained, there are millions of Americans that say that they would like to have a job even though they have not been "actively" looking for one in the past four weeks. If those people were included in the unemployment rate, it would immediately shoot up to around 11 percent....
About six million people claim they want a job, even though they haven't looked for one in the last four weeks. If they were to all start applying for work again, the unemployment rate would suddenly shoot up above 11%.
If you want a much more accurate picture of what is really happening to the employment situation in America, the key is to look at the employment to population ratio. As I have written about previously, the percentage of working age Americans that have jobs is not increasing.
Let's take a look at the employment to population ratio for the last six years for the month of March....
March 2007: 63.3%
March 2008: 62.7%
March 2009: 59.9%
March 2010: 58.5%
March 2011: 58.5%
March 2012: 58.5%
The percentage of the working age population that had jobs fell rapidly during the recession and it has stayed very low since then.
When Barack Obama tells you that "America is going back to work" he is lying to you.
The cold, hard reality of the matter is that there are millions of hard working Americans that have been sitting at home for years hoping that a new job will come along.
Back in 2007, approximately 10 percent of all unemployed Americans had been out of work for one year or longer.
Today, that figure is above 30 percent.
The average duration of unemployment in the United States today is about three times as long as it was back in the year 2000.
And according to a recent Wall Street Journal article, the number of announced job cuts is actually rising again....
Also, announced jobs cuts rose 7.1% in April, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, to 40,599 — and up 11.2% from last April — another bit of evidence that the jobs market isn’t doing well.
Economic conditions in the United States have been steadily getting worse for quite a while, but that is not the only reason for our employment problems.
There are two other trends that I want to briefly mention.
1) A lot of jobs that used to be very labor intensive are now being replaced by technology. Thanks to robotics, automation and computers, a lot of big companies simply do not need as many workers these days. Those are jobs that are never going to come back.
2) As labor has become a global commodity, millions upon millions of U.S. jobs have been sent overseas. Today, you are not just competing for a job with your neighbors. You are also competing with workers on the other side of the globe. Unfortunately, it is legal to pay slave labor wages in many of those countries. By sending our jobs out of the country, big corporations can also avoid a whole host of rules, regulations, taxes and benefit payments that they would be facing if they hired American workers.
So U.S. workers are at a massive competitive disadvantage. Why should a big corporation pay 10 or 20 times more for an American worker when they can pad their profits by exploiting cheap foreign labor?
The sad truth is that the value that the marketplace puts on the labor of the average American worker is continually decreasing.
This is making it much more difficult to find a job and it is keeping wages down.
In the old days, pretty much any man that was a hard worker and that really wanted a good job could go out and get one.
But now all of that has changed. Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs. Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.
And sadly, the vast majority of the jobs that are being lost are good jobs. As I wrote about the other day, 95 percent of the jobs lost during the recession were middle class jobs.
So how are middle class families making it these days?
Many of them are going into tremendous amounts of debt. As a recent CNN article detailed, the average debt load being carried by those of us in the bottom 95 percent of all income earners has risen dramatically over the past several decades....
In 1983, the bottom 95% had 62 cents of debt for every dollar they earned, according to research by two International Monetary Fund economists. But by 2007, the ratio had soared to $1.48 of debt for every $1 in earnings.
Unfortunately, many American families are absolutely maxed out at this point. According to one recent survey, approximately one-third of all Americans are currently paying their bills late.
If your goal is to live a middle class lifestyle, you need to realize that the entire way that the game is being played is changing.
In the old days, you could start out with a company as a young person and stay with that company until you retired. If you worked hard and you were loyal, there was a really good chance that the company would recognize that and be loyal to you too.
These days, most companies are absolutely heartless when it comes to their workers. The good job that you have today could be gone tomorrow. Workers are increasingly being viewed as "liabilities", and there is a good chance that the moment you become "expendable" to your company you will be kicked out on the street.
That is one reason why I am encouraging people to consider starting their own businesses. If you work for someone else, your security can be taken away from you at any moment. But if you work for yourself, you aren't going to get fired.
Unfortunately, tough economic times are coming and things are not going to be easy no matter what road you take. It will be imperative to work harder than ever, to stay flexible, and to never, ever give up.

Billionaire Hugo Salinas Price Elites Plan to Control the World
Today multi-billionaire Hugo Salinas Price told King World News in stunning detail what he believes to be the frightening plan to “control the world” going forward. He described this as a “very disturbing fact that is facing humanity.” Here is how he described the situation: “Eric, the problems we are seeing in the West are not going to be resolved in any positive way. What we have had in the West, in recent decades, has been the welfare state. The welfare state is, in my view, what I would call, ‘socialism light.’ We’ve had ‘socialism light’ and now we’re going to transition to full-blown socialism.”
Hugo Salinas Price continues:
“This could not be paid for out of taxes: It had to be financed. This is what has caused the explosion of debt in the West. The people who are in power, the elite, do not want to relinquish their power. They plan to retain it under full-blown socialism for the populations of the West.
This includes all countries that have central banks: They are going to have to follow suit. This is a very disturbing fact that is facing humanity. It means the inevitable decline of industrial civilization, and the inevitable impoverishment of the world’s population.
This means that over time there will be a decline in the number of people on this earth. That is the rather grim outlook that I see. So, it’s socialism ahead. And with that will come more government control and a centrally run economy. This is inefficient and unproductive, and it will lead to impoverishment.
Nikita Khrushchev, when he came to the United Nations, said, ‘We will bury you’....
“Well, it’s not the USSR that buried us, it’s us burying ourselves, under the rule of our elite, who do not want to give up their control. The furtherance of their control lies in socialism.
I think this comes from a central idea that has possessed the imagination of the world. It’s the idea that authority comes from below. In other words, that authority comes from the people. This idea of authority from the will of the people is a myth of our civilization. Excuse me for saying that it’s a myth, but I see that as a fact.
I’m just saying that those who control the world know they have to curry the favor of the people. To do this they went the way of the welfare state, and democracy to give people the fiction they (the people) are in control. Well, they are not and never have been.
We also have fiat money to fund the welfare state. Then we have entertainment to distract the people. We also have war to distract the people. The airplanes bomb people, and the victims are just humans who are expendable. This is how the elite see things.
We will continue to see this from the elite, in order to maintain their power. Remember, socialism impoverishes, it consumes capital, it does not accumulate capital. So, you will have this de-capitalization that will come with socialism.
When you combine that with the probability that we are at peak oil, as that prime source of energy comes to a point where it begins to decline, you will see a decrease in the population.”
Hugo Salinas Price also warned: “Italy and Spain have already imposed a limit on cash transactions. Any transaction above 2,500 euros has to be paid with a credit card. Now that’s ominous. It confirms the socialist trend because in socialism you have very little use for money. Everything is supplied by means of ration cards.
That’s what I see coming, and I see it in the United States as well. Take, for example, the fact that there are 46.5 million people on food stamps. You already have the ration card in action there.”
He also added: “For those people who want to protect themselves, they are going to have to take some drastic measures. They will have to be imaginative in trying to protect themselves in whatever way they can from this onslaught of centralized government.
Everybody should constitute a reserve of something that will function as ‘real’ money because there will be continued abuse of fiat money in order to fund the socialist state. We will see more limitations on the use of cash, and people need to be prepared for that.”

EU Plot To Scrap Britain
SENIOR Eurocrats are secretly plotting to create a super-powerful EU president to realise their dream of abolishing Britain, we can reveal.
A covert group of EU foreign ministers has drawn up plans for merging the jobs currently done by Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Council, and Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission.
The new bureaucrat, who would not be directly elected by voters, is set to get sweeping control over the entire EU and force member countries into ever-greater political and economic union.
European Council President Herman Van Rompuy at an EU summit
Tellingly, the UK has been excluded from the confidential discussions within the shady “Berlin Group” of Europhile politicians, spearheaded by German foreign minister Guido Westerwelle.
Opponents fear the plan could create a modern-day equivalent of the European emperor envisaged by Napoleon Bonaparte or a return to the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.
They are concerned that David Cameron’s coalition Government is doing nothing to prevent the sinister plot. The secret talks were uncovered by Independent Labour peer Lord Stoddart of Swindon.
“This is a plot by people who want to abolish nation states and create a United States of Europe,” he said.
“The whole thing is barmy. These people are determined to achieve their final objective.
Tory backbench MP Douglas Carswell said: “It doesn’t matter how you arrange the offices of these technocrats, they are useless at arranging our lives for us and they are not elected so they have no legitimacy.
“My worry is that the president will end up having the charisma of Van Rompuy and the economic management skills of Barroso.”
Euro-MP Paul Nuttall, of the UK Independence Party, said: “This is a truly ridiculous idea that must never be allowed to happen. It sounds as if they are trying to go back to the days of the Holy Roman Emperor.”
At present, the two senior EU bureaucrats, Mr Barroso and Mr Van Rompuy, are locked in a bitter power struggle to determine who is the true big cheese or “grand fromage” in Europe. Former Portuguese premier Mr Barroso, who heads the EU’s executive arm and was elected to his post by members of the European Union, is understood to resent the rival fiefdom of Belgian Mr Van Rompuy, who was chosen by the heads of government of EU member states to represent them.
Under the plan, a single figure would be elected by Euro-MPs to perform both roles.
Supporters of the move believe that the rival presidencies are undermining the EU’s ability to speak with a single voice. They argue that merging the two jobs will create a powerful European leader who is capable of pursuing the federalist dream of a united Europe which has been severely shaken by the eurozone crisis.
Lord Stoddart confirmed the existence of the plot thanks to a parliamentary written answer in the House of Lords. He asked Foreign Office ministers to reveal what they knew about the merger talks.
In response to his inquiry, Tory Foreign Office minister Lord Howell of Guildford said: “We are aware of one group of EU foreign ministers meeting on an informal basis to discuss a variety of issues related to the future governance of the EU.

Draghi: euro countries to lose even more sovereignty
European Central Bank (ECB) chief Mario Draghi has urged eurozone leaders to come up with a 10-year target for the common currency, saying they should accept more transfer of powers if they truly want a fiscal union.
Held exceptionally in Barcelona instead of the ECB headquarters in Frankfurt, the monthly meeting of eurozone's central bank governing council on Thursday (3 May) was an opportunity for Draghi to explain what he meant last week when he said a "growth compact" is needed along with the deficit-cutting measures taken by most governments.
"There is absolutely no contradiction between a growth compact and a fiscal compact," the Italian banker said in reference to the treaty on fiscal discipline signed in March by 25 EU leaders.
Draghi himself had earlier coined the "fiscal compact" moniker.
He went on to explain that governments have to stick to tighter budgets, while reforming labour markets, increasing competition, re-balancing employment towards young people.
"I can understand the anger of young people, of poor and jobless young people. I can understand it very well. The answer we can give as policy makers is that the policies suggested or implemented are the policies we are convinced to be the right ones."
Also part of his vision of a "growth compact," Draghi backed calls for a boost in the resources of the European Investment Bank and said EU funds needed to be "redirected" to low-income areas - ideas already floated by Francois Hollande, the frontrunner in the Sunday presidential elections in France.
"But the thirdly and most importantly is that we collectively have to specify a path for the euro. How do we see ourselves in 10 years from now ...We want to have a fiscal union? We have to accept the delegation of fiscal sovereignty from national to some form of central [government]," he said.
In getting there, politicians should however refrain from talking about a "transfer union" as a starting point, he said, in reference to richer countries automatically paying for poorer ones, a concept most loathed by Germany and its independence-wary Bundesbank.
"That is why the fiscal compact is so important, that is the starting point," Draghi noted.
For its part, Fitch ratings agency published a report outlining five possible scenarios for the future of the eurozone: a "Greek Exit;" a "Quasi-Fiscal Union;" the "Euro-mark" where Germany and a "core" exit leaving the remaining countries with the euro; the "United States of Europe;" and a "Full Break Up."
A full break-up and the demise of the euro is very unlikely, Fitch said in a press statement, given the huge financial and political costs.
"Even a partial 'break-up' involving the exit of one or more so-called peripheral nations would risk severe systemic damage, although cannot be discounted. The likelihood of a move to full fiscal union in the near term is also very small, as in Fitch's view, the political will for it does not exist."
Instead, the eurozone will continue to "muddle through," the ratings agency predicted, agreeing with Draghi that "some dilution of national fiscal sovereignty" was still to come.
Of the five scenarios, "Fitch believes that a Greek exit is the most likely", it added.
In this case the southern country would have to re-denominate its debt and default again. That would lead Fitch to downgrade Cyprus, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain "owing to the 'exit precedent' of Greece and risk of contagion to banks, bond markets and capital flight," it explained, just three days ahead of general elections in Greece.

The surprising threat from Mexico's awakened volcano
North America's second-tallest volcano recently rumbled to life, putting authorities on edge. Big eruptions of Mexico's massive Popocatepetl volcano are "few and far between," as one geologist says. Yet even without any dramatic fireworks, 17,800-foot (5,425-meter) "Popo" has the power to wreak havoc.
Geologist Mike Sheridan, a professor emeritus at the University at Buffalo, said that Popo and, in fact, many other volcanoes around the world harbor a means of destruction that many people may not associate with volcanoes: mudflows.
"And they don't even require an eruption, so they are less predictable," Sheridan told OurAmazingPlanet.
Popocatepetl lies about 40 miles (70 kilometers) southeast of Mexico City. The mountain reawakened in December 1994 after five decades of silence. Yet in the nearly 20 years since, the volcano has rarely exhibited the kind of vigorous activity that began the week of April 12.
Minor earthquakes have rocked the mountain, it has spewed out plumes of gas and ash, and multiple explosions have shot glowing rocks from the summit.
The mountain has the potential to erupt magnificently once every 2,000 or 3,000 years. "It has big eruptions, but they are so few and far between," Sheridan said. "But they have been pretty big. So that is the scary part."
Hidden threat
Mudflows, also called debris flows and lahars (an Indonesian word), occur when water suddenly mixes with volcanic ash near a volcano's summit. The water can come from a multitude of sources — an explosive eruption that melts a mountaintop glacier, a sudden deluge of rain — with equally devastating results.
They are a big ongoing hazard, said Ben Andrews, a research geologist at the Smithsonian's Global Vulcanism Program.
"Thinking about them as mud is technically accurate, but conceptually it's more like a wall of cement flowing," he told OurAmazingPlanet, "and it destroys pretty much everything in its path."
As a flow rushes down a mountainside, it typically picks up large boulders and anything else that lies in its way.
Sheridan and colleagues mapped out possible scenarios for debris flows from snow-topped Popo the last time the mountain rumbled in its sleep, in 2000. They showed that flows could affect surrounding population centers.
Popocatepetl's current activity has triggered a few small debris flows, but it isn't likely to produce any large ones, Sheridan said. However, it has done so in the past.
In one large eruption about 11,000 years ago, Popocatepetl produced mudflows that inundated surrounding valleys, wiping out towns and villages, Sheridan said.
Both Sheridan and Andrews pointed to a 1985 eruption of Colombia's Nevado del Ruiz volcano to illustrate the insidious danger posed by debris flows.
"That eruption was fairly small," Andrews said. Yet it melted glaciers atop the mountain, producing a moving wall of debris that thundered down. The town of Armero — a full 45 miles (74 km) from Nevado del Ruiz — was essentially wiped away a full two hours after the eruption.
One girl's horrific case came to symbolize the tragedy. Thirteen-year-old Omayra Sanchez was buried up to her neck and hands in muck. For three days, volunteers struggled to free her as water slowly rose, but Sanchez died, held fast by the debris around her. In total, the 1985 mudflow killed more than 23,000 people.

Swiss Refiners Say “Demand for Gold is Massive”
Today Egon von Greyerz told King World News that Swiss refiners are “working round the clock because demand for gold is so massive.” Egon von Greyerz is founder and managing partner at Matterhorn Asset Management out of Switzerland. Von Greyerz also said the financial world is headed into trouble that will be much worse than 2008.
But first, here is what Greyerz had to say about Swiss refiners: “The gold market may appear quiet right now, but underneath the quiet there is a great deal of action in the physical market. Swiss refiners are telling me they are working ‘round the clock’ because demand for gold is so massive.”
Egon von Greyerz continues:
“At the same time, we are reading that a number of central banks are buying gold. So the nonsense coming from the mainstream media that people are not interested in gold is completely false. We are seeing massive accumulation of physical gold. This decline today is clearly only in the paper market.
Once people wake up to the fact that the paper market is not even a real market, meaning it’s a false market that can never deliver the real goods, once investors realize this, that is when people will really panic....
“The paper market will then be either non-existent or we will see a massive premium between physical and paper. I think those days are not far away.
I don’t think people are focusing enough on the long-term consequences. The masses are just living day-to-day and hoping the current problems will go away, but they won’t. The same people who did not see the problem in 2007/2008 are now saying, ‘It’s over.’ Nothing is over.
We are actually going to go into a situation that is much worse than in 2008. Once again, people are in total denial, and that includes governments and central bankers. The first consequence of the enormous deficits and massive credit bubbles is going to be hyperinflation.
The hyperinflation will come as a result of governments printing unlimited amounts of money. During this hyperinflationary depression, people will see currencies falling in value against real money, gold. In a hyperfinflation, nobody benefits from the money creation except the ones standing nearest to the printing press.

So governments will help themselves and banks will get some benefit, but by the time the money gets to the people it will be worthless. Pensions will be wiped out as well. When Germany went through the Weimar hyperinflation, at that time people were more self-sufficient. Today, many people are dependent on governments.
This is why we will have more social unrest and anarchy. I don’t think governments will be able to control it because people will be poor, hungry, and homeless in many cases. The consequences of all of this reckless behavior is going to be very serious for all of us.
This is the first time in history that we will see hyperinflation occurring simultaneously in many countries. Previously, this type of event has been isolated to one country at any one time. Gold will be an extremely important means of survival and payment during this hyperinflationary period.”

Eurozone services sector shrinks sharply
Disappointing data from both sides of the Atlantic weigh on stock markets as the eurozone's services sector shrinks at a faster rate than expected in April, and the American workforce falls to a 30-year low.
Powerful surveillance cameras read texts
Surveillance cameras are now so powerful that they were able to zoom in on individual spectators at the Rugby World Cup and read their text messages.
Details of police monitoring used for the first time during the tournament were discussed at a privacy forum in Wellington yesterday, at which it was revealed that the average person is digitally recorded about a dozen times a day – and even more if they use email and social media frequently.
Superintendent Grant O'Fee told the forum how one incident at the Rugby World Cup "tweaked in my head" a concern about possible privacy breaches.
Camera operators who were scanning the crowd for unruly behaviour or suspicious packages chose to zoom in on a person who was texting.
"He was actually texting about the poor quality of the game of rugby. But it did occur to me that there was an issue there - had he been texting something that was of some consequence to us, there may have been privacy issues."
He confirmed later that the level of monitoring used during the World Cup would continue for all big test matches.
CCTV now operates inside many buildings, including hospitals, supermarkets, malls, and around public toilets.
There are 11 cameras in Wellington city centre, recording 24 hours a day.
In Britain, drone cameras, mobile cameras on cars and cameras on police helmets are in frequent use.
Soon, technology will exist that can pick up on raised voices, and sniffing devices will be able to detect drug residue, Stirling University lecturer William Webster told the forum.
Privacy Commissioner Marie Shroff said some overseas developments were amazing and she imagined there would be concern if and when that technology was implemented in New Zealand.
Civil liberties lawyer Michael Bott warned against becoming desensitised to digital surveillance.
"It's quite worrying when we, by default, move to some sort of Orwellian 1984 where the state or Big Brother watches your every move. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and we don't realise what we are giving up when we give the state the power to monitor our private lives."
Ms Shroff said that, although reading someone's text messages in public could cause concern, the legitimacy of the action depended on what it was used for.
"We need to be aware of that – that potentially texting in a public place can be caught on a CCTV camera. If the text showed the person was plotting a riot or something, then it might well be legitimate for the police to use that under the coverage of exemption for law-enforcement activities.
"But if they were to use it simply out of nosiness, that might not be exempt," she said.
Former detective Trevor Morley said the average person had nothing to fear if they were not doing anything illegal.
"The only people who need to be concerned about these advances in technology that the police are using are the people who are abusing it, or the people who are acting in an anti-social manner."
Ms Shroff added that education and awareness of surveillance tactics were crucial.
"The law can do only so much. There are many, many great uses for the technology and we just have to make sure we balance those so it doesn't become ridiculously intrusive into our lives."

“We are Preparing for Massive Civil War,” Says Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Informant
In a riveting interview on TruNews Radio, Wednesday, private investigator Doug Hagmann said high-level, reliable sources told him the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is preparing for “massive civil war” in America.
“Folks, we’re getting ready for one massive economic collapse,” Hagmann told TruNews host Rick Wiles.
“We have problems . . . The federal government is preparing for civil uprising,” he added, “so every time you hear about troop movements, every time you hear about movements of military equipment, the militarization of the police, the buying of the ammunition, all of this is . . . they (DHS) are preparing for a massive uprising.”
Hagmann goes on to say that his sources tell him the concerns of the DHS stem from a collapse of the U.S. dollar and the hyperinflation a collapse in the value of the world’s primary reserve currency implies to a nation of 311 million Americans, who, for the significant portion of the population, is armed.
Uprisings in Greece is, indeed, a problem, but an uprising of armed Americans becomes a matter of serious national security, a point addressed in a recent report by the Pentagon and highlighted as a vulnerability and threat to the U.S. during war-game exercises at the Department of Defense last year, according to one of the DoD’s war-game participants, Jim Rickards, author of Currency Wars: The Making of the Next Global Crisis.
Through his sources, Hagmann confirmed Rickards’ ongoing thesis of a fear of a U.S. dollar collapse at the hands of the Chinese (U.S. treasury bond holders of approximately $1 trillion) and, possibly, the Russians (threatening to launch a gold-backed ruble as an attractive alternative to the U.S. dollar) in retaliation for aggressive U.S. foreign policy initiatives against China’s and Russia’s strategic allies Iran and Syria.
“The one source that we have I’ve known since 1979,” Hagmann continued. “He started out as a patrol officer and currently he is now working for a federal agency under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security; he’s in a position to know what policies are being initiated, what policies are being planned at this point, and he’s telling us right now—look, what you’re seeing is just the tip of the iceberg. We are preparing, we, meaning the government, we are preparing for a massive civil war in this country.”
“There’s no hyperbole here,” he added, echoing Trends Research Institute’s Founder Gerald Celente’s forecast of last year. Celente expects a collapse of the U.S. dollar and riots in America some time this year.
Since Celente’s ‘Civil War’ prediction of last year, executive orders NDAA and National Defense Resources Preparedness were signed into law by President Obama, which are both politically damaging actions taken by a sitting president.
And most recently, requests made by the DHS for the procurement of 450 million rounds of hollow-point ammunition only fuels speculation of an upcoming tragic event expected on American soil.
These major events, as shocking to the American people as they are, have taken place during an election year.
Escalating preparatory activities by the executive branch and DHS throughout the last decade—from the Patriot Act, to countless executive orders drafted to suspend (or strip) American civil liberties “are just the beginning” of the nightmare to come, Hagmann said.
He added, “It’s going to get so much worse toward the election, and I’m not even sure we’re going to have an election in this country. It’s going to be that bad, and this, as well, is coming from my sources. But one source in particular said, ‘look, you don’t understand how bad it is.’ This stuff is real; these people, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), they are ready to fight the American people.”
TruNews‘ Wiles asked Hagmann: who does the DHS expect to fight, in particular? Another North versus South, the Yankees against the Confederates? Hagmann stated the situation is far worse than a struggle between any two factions within the U.S.; it’s an anticipated nationwide emergency event centered on the nation’s currency.
“What they [DHS] are expecting, and again, this is according to my sources, what they’re expecting is the un-sustainability of the American dollar,” Hagmann said. “And we know for a fact that we can no longer service our debt. There’s going to be a period of hyperinflation . . . the dollar will be worthless . . . The economic collapse will be so severe, people won’t be ready for this.”
