Iran Staying Nuclear

Obama Care and Budget Fight, Government Shutdown

We have weapons that could blindside Israel

Syria has deterrent weapons, more advanced than anything in its chemical arsenal, that could blindside Israel in mere moments, Syrian President Bashar Assad claimed Thursday.

“Originally, we produced chemical weapons in the 1980s as a deterrent to Israel’s nuclear capabilities,” Assad said in an interview with the Hezbollah-affiliated, Lebanon-based Al-Akhbar newspaper, adding that “today, we have weapons that are far more important and sophisticated and that can blindside Israel in the blink of an eye.”

The Syrian president also charged that the West was not really concerned with stripping Syria of its weapons stockpile in order to safeguard the country’s civilians but, rather, that its goal was to tip the balance of power in the Middle East in Israel’s favor.

“They wanted to change the balance of power to protect Israel, but we turned the table on them and now the ball is in their court,” said Assad.

Referring to his regime’s chemical weapons arsenal, which, under a US-Russian agreement reached earlier this month, is due to be destroyed by mid-2014, Assad said that his stockpile, of about 1,000 tons, is a burden and will be costly and time-consuming to dispose of.

The Syrian president went on to mock President Barack Obama as “hesitant” and “weak.” He called the US administration’s handling of the threat to attack Syria — in response to the regime’s alleged chemical attack in Damascus on August 21 that killed over 1,400 people according to US officials — an “embarrassment.”

“The steps we’ve taken embarrassed the US government in the eyes of the American and European publics. Obama lost in his own home [turf]. where [he] lost the ability to maneuver internally,” Assad added.

In a previous interview with Venezuelan television, the Syrian president accused the Obama administration of lying to US citizens by claiming it had proof that Assad’s government was responsible for the August 21 gas attack.

Assad told Al-Akhbar that the level of Syrian cooperation and coordination with Russia was “unprecedented” and that should a US attack on Syria occur — a possibility he did not rule out — he had Moscow’s assurances that Russian forces would be sent to back the regime.

“We have a full Russian pledges that Russian troops will enter in any war waged against Syria,” he was quoted as saying.

Russia has remained a staunch ally of the Assad regime throughout the two-and-a half-year civil war, blocking any meaningful UN Security Council resolutions and cautioning the US against military action.

The Russians, like Assad, insist Syrian rebels were responsible for the August 21 attack.

UN inspectors returned to Syria on Wednesday to continue investigating three incidents of suspected chemical weapons use this year.

Why a War between USA and Russia is Unavoidable

I am convinced that war with Russia is unavoidable. Moreover, I think that Russians have enough reasons to prepare themselves for a war against the United States. Why? Their reasons are valid, reasonable, logical, weighty, authoritative and well grounded.

In the first place, more and more Russians are becoming aware that the creation of the Soviet Union, which immersed their country in a catastrophic moral, social and economic disaster for more than half a century, was the result of a conspiracy hatched by a group of American and English banksters and oil magnates. This group of conspirators feared that Russia as a competitor, mostly in the production of oil, would cause commodity prices to drop. And these banksters, robber barons and oil magnates wanted to limit competition, which they regarded as a sin. They feared what they could not control, and like the proverbial bull in a china shop, what they couldn’t break, they crapped all over.

The descendants of these same sociopaths also brought the long night of Castro’s “communism” —which is actually closer to Fascism— to Cuba, but that’s a different story.

The Russians who believe that their country was sabotaged and derailed are not kooks or paranoid. In a speech to the House of Commons on November 5, 1919, Winston Churchill synthesized the phenomenon in a few words:

. . . Lenin was sent into Russia . . . in the same way that you might send a vial containing a culture of typhoid or of cholera to be poured into the water supply of a great city, and it worked with amazing accuracy. No sooner did Lenin arrive that he began beckoning a finger here and a finger there to obscure persons in sheltered retreats in New York, Glasgow, in Bern, and other countries, and he gathered together the leading spirits of a formidable sect, the most formidable sect in the world . . . With these spirits around him he set to work with demoniacal ability to tear to pieces every institution on which the Russian State depended.

In the 1990s, in their continuing effort to implement the totalitarian global government they call the “New World Order,” the globalist conspirators planned the implosion that caused the collapse of the Soviet Union. This was a required step for their agenda to establish global, uncontested dominance at bankpoint and, if needed, at gunpoint. To that end, they ended the financial support that kept Communists in power in Russia.[1] Then, they put in action their agents inside the Soviet government — Gorbachev was one of them — to carry out the final phase of their plan.

After the total collapse of the Communist regime, the very same banksters who had created the Soviet Union, swooped down on Russia like vultures preying on a carcass. Quickly, they managed to put the country under the controls of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and other predatory global institutions they control. Also, they allowed some criminal elements of the Russian mafia to control key aspects of the Russian economy. But, to their utter surprise, some of the Russians who love their country got a second wind, managed to disentangle themselves from those treasonous institutions, put the criminals in jail and began a speedy economic recovery. But they have not forgotten who brought Communism to their country and, what is even more important, why they did it.

Secondly, the Russian government, like all governments around the world who have an independent intelligence service, have enough proof that the 9/11 events were a false flag operation created by the conspirators who control the U.S. government as a pretext to put in action a global domination operation planned many years before.[2]

One may safely surmise that the Russians have guessed, “If they can kill more than four thousand of their own people on a false flag attack just to advance their secret agenda, what could they do to us?” So, very quietly, they began re-assembling the Russian military machine to change it into an efficient shield to deter the aggressors.

Nevertheless, the conspirators relentlessly keep encircling Russia, depriving her of neighboring allies, in an effort to bring the Russians to their knees. Contrary to what the mainstream press told us, young people with cell phones did not carry out the so-called “Arab Spring”, and it had nothing to do with bringing democracy to the region. The true goal is tightening the noose around Russia’s neck.

Nevertheless, the ultimate goal of the psychopaths who control the Invisible Government of the United States [3] is the elimination of no less that 85 percent of the planet’s population as the first step to implement a world government under their control —the “New World Order.” [4] Now, given the fact that nuclear war is the best tool to accomplish their eugenicist plans of population control, [5] we cannot discard the possibility that they are planning for it.

Now, you may argue that “Why they are planning for a nuclear holocaust in which they and their families might die?” Well, they are working hard to guarantee their survival in case of nuclear war. A few years ago they began frantically buying land in Patagonia, the southernmost part of Argentina and Chile, where they plan to escape previous to a nuclear salvo that will destroy most of the northern hemisphere.[6]

So, a nuclear war with Russia is unavoidable, unless we, the American people, wake up, stop acting like sheeple and overthrow the Invisible Government of the United States.[7] This is not anymore a case of politics, but of survival.

Just recently, during a town meeting with Senator John McCain, one of the people in the audience accused him of being a traitor — which is exactly what he is. For many years McCain has been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a traitorous organization whose ultimate goal, as expressed on innumerable occasions, is the elimination of the US sovereignty and its fusion into a world government —a New World Order under the banksters’ total control. But McCain refuted his critic, answering that he’s doing what he’s doing because the people of Arizona keep electing him over and over, therefore, they agree with his actions.

McCain is absolutely right. Both “conservative” Republicans and “liberal” Democrats wash their consciences by blaming the other party for the evils of American politics. But they are the only ones to blame, because they keep electing to public office people like McCain, the Bushes, the Clintons and Obama. So, nobody else but “conservative” Republicans and “liberal,” “progressive” Democrats are the true traitors to this once-great nation.

Unfortunately, none of them are going to be here to take the blame after a nuclear war. Therefore, We the People who don’t believe in them and don’t trust them, are the only ones who can save this country and most of mankind. We must get rid of this cult of conspirators and psychopaths, and we must act fast, because time is running short. Our lives and the lives of our families depend on it.

In his massive scholarly work, Western Technology and Soviet Economic Development, and later in hisNational Suicide: Military Aid to the Soviet Union, and finally in The Best Enemy Money Can Buy, professor Antony Sutton extensively documented how, militarily, the Soviet Union was kept alive thanks to massive technology transfer, mostly from the United States. Moreover, this technology transfer was not the result of the good work of Soviet spies, but of the treachery of CFR agents at the highest levels of the U.S. government.

‘Iran already has a nuclear bomb,’ Israeli paper claims

Some Israeli government analysts believe Iran already has at least one nuclear bomb, an Israeli journalist wrote in an article published Friday.

Shalom Yerushalmi, writing in the national daily Maariv, said that “government security sources up to date on development in Iran,” told him recently that Tehran has crossed all points of no return and already has its first nuclear weapon, and maybe more.

The report marks the first time a government official has been quoted saying Iran already has a nuclear weapon. No sources in the piece were named.

The information, if true, would mark a major shift in international relations and would be a game changer in terms of a regional power balance.

“It’s too late for Israel [to prevent an Iranian bomb]. Iran has crossed all the borders and all the constraints, and it has a first nuclear bomb in its possession, and maybe more than that,” Yerushalmi writes, basing himself on what he says is the assessment he heard this week from state security sources. ”We are facing a historic change in the strategic balance of forces in the region.”

He then quotes a source who he says is deeply familiar with what he calls the relentless war against the Iranians. “This is no longer about how to prevent a bomb,” the source is quoted saying, “but about how to prevent its being launched, and what to do if and when.”

Yerushalmi, still basing himself on the anonymous security sources’ assessment, goes on to compare the current behavior of Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei, and new President Hasan Rouhani, in their interactions with the West, to a soccer coach at the end of a hard-fought match which he knows he has now won. The Iranian leadership is behaving with the air of “those who have achieved their target, and therefore can today afford to be more generous and to offer new (self-serving) messages.” The Iranian leadership can afford to be friendlier, he writes, “because victory has been secured.”

Maariv led its Friday paper with a photograph of a smiling Rouhani, alongside the headline, “What’s hiding behind the smile,” and a sub-headline quoting the security sources saying Iran now has “at least one bomb.” It then adds that most in the security establishment, however, still believe that this “nightmare scenario has not yet been realized.”

While most Western countries believe Iran’s nuclear program is intended for military purposes, officials in Israel, the US and elsewhere say Tehran has yet to “break out” toward a bomb, a process that could take over a year.

Iran, which on Thursday agreed to renewed talks with world powers on curbing its nuclear program, says its program is for peaceful purposes.

On Friday, Iranian and UN officials met to discuss whether to resume inspections meant to determine whether Tehran worked on atomic arms, in a test of pledges by Iran’s new president to reduce nuclear tensions.

Iranian envoy Reza Najafi said in Vienna that it would be unrealistic to expect that “in just one day of meeting we can solve our problems.”

Herman Nackaerts of the International Atomic Energy Agency said only that he hoped the meeting could “intensify the dialogue.”

The UN agency wants access to a site it suspects was used to test conventional explosive triggers meant to set off a nuclear blast.

A report released last month by the IAEA said that while Iran was testing new centrifuges, which could help it eventually create a nuclear weapon, its uranium stockpile was still below the amount needed for a bomb.

“It is unlikely, at this point, that Iran could dash toward further enrichment to weapons-grade without the IAEA detecting Tehran’s activities,”Reuters quoted the Arms Control Association, a Washington-based advocacy and research group.

Israel sees an Iranian nuclear weapon as an existential threat, and Jerusalem has campaigned vigorously around the world for heavy sanctions to be placed on Iran, with a threat of military action should those fail to stop the nuclear program.

Next week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is due to deliver a speech at the United Nations during which he is expected to press for maintaining pressure on Iran despite a recent easing of tensions between Tehran and the West. In comments Tuesday, Netanyahu urged the world not to be “fooled” by Iran’s newly moderate rhetoric, which he said was a “smokescreen” to obscure its continued drive toward nuclear weapons.

“Israel would welcome a genuine diplomatic solution that truly dismantles Iran’s capacity to develop nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said. “But we will not be fooled by half-measures that merely provide a smokescreen for Iran’s continual pursuit of nuclear weapons. And the world should not be fooled either.”

Obama Invokes the Chesterton Prophecies to Destroy America

While the nation is looking at mostly economic threats which serve to threaten its well-being, there is a growing and insidious threat that has escalated to a level of danger that is largely going ignored.

Yes, there are very real economic threats that the American people should indeed be monitoring such as the current banking holiday in Panama. At this very moment, the people of Panama cannot access any money in their banking accounts or ATM’s. Account holders are being told they will have access to their money on October 1st. This raises the possibility of it happening here. Additionally, in the US, there is the threat of another major false flag operation coming up in mid-October as there is also a planned bank cyber attack drill scheduled for October 16th-17th and again on the 23rd-24th.

We should be concerned because these drills carry all the necessary elements to promulgate a false flag attack upon our banking system. And, of course, many are beginning to pay attention to the false flag potential of Grid-EX II on November 13th. These are all situations in which it is important for everyone to be prepared, but the American people are ignoring a major danger which is growing exponentially right before our eyes.

Look to the Left and Get Hit By a Right
There is an insidious threat to national security which has virtually disappeared from the front pages and that topic is immigration. Congress has not passed important legislation, but that has not stopped the President from continually issuing a series of dictatorial edicts which are increasingly granting amnesty to a rapidly growing number of illegal immigrants. For this illegal alien President, the motto, “inch by inch it is a cinch,” applies to his immigration policy.

Obama’s ultimate immigration goal

Congress hasn’t passed immigration legislation, but that hasn’t stopped President Obama from issuing directives that grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. While Obama waits for Congress to eventually succumb and declare amnesty for all illegal aliens, he is using his executive powers to exclude various groups from deportation.

The Obama administration issued a policy informing immigration agents to try not to arrest and deport illegal immigrant parents of minor children in a move that adds to the categories of people the administration is trying not to deport. ICE has already been forced to release hardened criminals who should have been deported and now they are running free in America. Presently, anyone coming in from our Southern border can gain entrance if they say they fear for their safety because of the drug cartels. This excuse cannot be challenged and acts as a de facto visa to the United States.

The net effect of Obama’s piecemeal approach to declaring amnesty for all illegal aliens is that the President is legitimizing the efforts of people who are breaking our laws and getting to stay in the country and enjoy many of the benefits supposedly reserved for a citizen.
Border States Under Siege From the Drug Cartels
I live in Arizona where very large segments of the central corridor of the State are under the control of the Mexican drug cartels. The citizens of Pinal County, which is adjacent to metropolitan Phoenix, are under siege by these former Mexican army soldiers turned drug runners. Their penchant for violence is well documented. For example, Pinal County Deputy Louie Puroll was ambushed and shot as he tracked six drug smugglers near Casa Grande, Arizona. In the Phoenix suburb of Chandler, Arizona, a drug cartel rival was beheaded. Citizens have been terrorized and many of these have been victims of crime from the cartels. In a drug cartel related activity, Phoenix leads the country in kidnappings most of which are related to the sex slave and labor slave trafficking practices of the Zeta drug cartel gang.

The lawlessness resulting from the influx of the drug cartel thugs is so bad that former Arizona State Representative, Jack Harper (R), once proposed state legislation to form a militia, trained by the State to interdict these thugs and subsequently turn them back. Harper’s bill was defeated after undue pressure was applied by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Meanwhile, as we all know, DHS has acquired over two billion rounds of ammunition and 2700 armored personnel carriers. Meanwhile, in the nation’s capital,

Some areas in Arizona are off limits to its citizens

Meanwhile, Homeland Security has posted traveler advisory signs throughout Arizona’s Pinal and Pima Counties advising against traveling and camping in these areas due to the “human smuggling, drug transport and violent actions” by foreign criminal elements occupying these embattled areas.

What does the future hold for a country that refuses to protect its citizens from foreign intrusion by criminal elements?

America’s future may have been foretold in G. K. Chesterton’s, The Flying Inn (1914). The book provides present day Americans with an opportunity to understand what is happening to their loss of culture and of national sovereignty. The book consists of a “fictional” account of how England had been stripped of its cultural identity. The book was written at the end of the British imperialistic period of dominance in which England had collapsed under the sheer weight of attempting to maintain its vast empire.

In the book, Chesterton maintains that England lost far more than its preeminent position as the world’s sole super power. He postulated that England had lost its national soul through the unintended integration of its culture with more “barbaric cultures” that it had previously conquered.

The protagonist in The Flying Inn, Dalroy, proclaimed that great nations have frequently followed a similar pattern of progressive and complete self-destruction:

1. The great nation declares victory over the barbarians.

2. The great nation begins to enjoy the fruits of cheap labor by employing the barbarians that it had conquered.

3. The barbarians become so enmeshed into the great nation, that an alliance with barbarians is formed (e.g., de facto amnesty including members of criminal organizations).

4. Assimilation is followed with the barbarians becoming a privileged class. Thus, the great nation is conquered.

Near the end of the book, almost every virtuous cultural tradition, of the great nation, comes under sharp criticism, while every cultural tradition emanating from the barbarians’ place of origin became praiseworthy.
History Does Indeed Repeat Itself
Certainly the relationship between the United States and various countries south of our border parallels Chesterton’s stunningly accurate prophecies by describing what has happened to present day America. Consider the following parallels which strikingly correspond to Dalroy’s view of how empires crumble:

1. The United States fulfills its “Manifest Destiny” mandate by provoking and winning a war with Mexico in order to gain a southern railroad route to California. The great nation was victorious. Dalroy’s first principle is fulfilled.

2. The economies of the two countries bifurcate and the United States begins to enjoy the fruits of its imperialistic labors. The conquered people provides nearly 160 years of cheap labor which helps to fuel the economic growth of the United States. Guest workers and illegal immigrants trickle into the United States. Despite the comparatively low wages, more immigrants come north to experience the bountiful leftovers of their former conquerors. This trend continues to the point in which the original trickle of guest workers and illegal immigrants becomes a raging tsunami of humanity most of whom are seeking to experience the American dream at the expense of their former conquerors. The great nation employed those that it had conquered. Dalroy’s second principle is fulfilled.

3. Average American citizens begin to note the loss of economic standing, culture and traditions. “Special privilege” programs, such as Totalization, deportation instead of criminal prosecution for organized criminal activities, free medical and free education, serve to fully integrate the former illegal aliens into the mainstream of American society. To frame the desired paradigm shift, legal terms such as “illegal alien” become likened to racial epitaphs uttered during the worst days of the old “Jim Crow” laws. The “politically correct police” (i.e., the corporate media) label all Americans who desire to secure their borders, in this age of terrorism, as racists and xenophobic. The alliance has been formed. Dalroy’s third principle has been fulfilled.

4. Illegal immigrant subgroups (e.g., Reconquista de Atzalan, MECHA) begin to proclaim that the takeover of America is moving forward and if the present occupants of this country do not like it; then these “Euros” can “go back to Europe .” (In this scenario, it’s not certain where American citizens whose historical roots lie in Africa, the Middle East, South America, Mexico, Panama, Canada, Asia, the Pacific Rim, the Caribbean, and most of all, Native Americans, are supposed to return to). At what point do we admit that the great nation of America has been conquered and is in the process of being successfully occupied?

Although the Flying Inn is fiction, in reality, its tenets are being realized as nearly every tradition that Americans hold sacred, are coming under attack (e.g., the virtues and value of American citizenship); while everything from the illegal aliens’ point of origin is becoming more praiseworthy by the day (e.g., “We do the jobs that Americans won’t). The propaganda lines have been drawn.

Most disturbingly, the violence once confined to south of the border has reared its ugly head inside what’s left of the United States southern border. What is truly needed to successfully interdict the drug cartels is the stationing of 3,000 heavily armed soldiers for Arizona alone,” Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu once said. One other noteworthy scenario in Chesterton’s book is the ominous ending in which the principal Western democracy ends up merging with a Middle Eastern country. Can anyone say “Sharia Law?”

The Worst Danger Is Being Ignored
The immigrants, themselves, are largely not to blame for the present situation for they are no better or no worse than any other immigrant group that has come to America looking for a better way of life. The culprit which led to illegal immigration was NAFTA, in which NAFTA manipulated the economic circumstances in Mexico which forced the exodus of millions of illegal immigrants who were only trying to stay one step ahead of the burning bridge. The Obama administration loves it when we blame the individual illegal immigrant for this problem because it takes attention off of the real cause and who is responsible.
Intended Consequences Resulting from Illegal Immigration
The threat of the Mexican drug cartels is real and we are beginning to see the same level of corruption that has permeated Mexico come north of the border and begin to take hold in the United States. Members of the Nogales, AZ. police have been threatened by the drug cartels for engaging in drug interdiction activities. Del Rio, Texas is more like a Mexican drug cartel run town than it is an American city. The entire legal apparatus has been compromised.

According to my insider in the Mexican Justice Department, Del Rio was the distribution point for Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder’s “Fast and Furious” program which put American guns into the hands of the drug cartels south of the border which has resulted in the deaths of three Border Patrol officials. Del Rio is also a distribution point for drugs and child sex slavery rings. The cartels have a foothold in America and it is quickly spreading because we do not control our borders.

As bad as the cartel threat is, the greatest threat to America as posed by the illegal immigration threat, is the fact that “International terrorist groups of Hamas and Hezbollah, are raising funds for their terrorist activities through linkages formed with DTOs in South America, particularly those operating in the tri-border area (TBA) of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina,” stated CRS in an April 30 report. Hezbollah and Hamas have also partnered with the drug cartels of Mexico since 2008.

The biggest threat to America is the unbridled access to America being given to known terrorist groups. How many terrorist cells are here? If we attack Syria, will they retaliate against Americans on the domestic front? Nobody knows, except now there exists the possibility of terror attacks which are legitimate and this could be used by this administration for political gain (i.e. establishing the need for martial law).

Ancillary Threats
By giving illegal aliens unbridled access to our country, we are overwhelming many of our institutions. Well over 100 hospitals have gone broke because of the Federal mandate to treat illegal alien health needs for free. Related identity theft has skyrocketed, so much so, that identity protection services are booming as one of the very few growth industries in America. Our schools are overcrowded, our highways are more congested than they should be and water systems in the Southwest are being impacted.

There is also one question that never gets asked, how many third world citizens can enter a first world country, until the first world country becomes a third world country? And why is Obama so hell-bent on getting illegal aliens amnesty and citizenship? The answer to this last question is very simple and obvious for all to see. Most illegal aliens who are given Visa or citizenship status will go on welfare thus greatly swelling the ranks of 101 million Americans who are presently on welfare and that is what this government wants, a totally dependent and manageable population. Also, these new “democrats,” the new buzz word for fascists, will vote for America to give up her private ownership for guns. This would indeed be very dangerous for a country whose national police force, DHS, is arming to the teeth. This very event would shift the balance of power in this country from the people to DHS. If this is ever allowed to happen, will see lawlessness on a scale which will rivals Somalia and your Obama administration knows this.

Why do you think that Obama is getting countries to block Americans from opening up new bank accounts? It happened in Panama and Peru four years ago and my sources tell me that Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Mexico are next and that the CIA are the ones who are facilitating the shutdown of American financial capital from the USA in an anticipated increase in American expatriation from the quickly deteriorating conditions in this country. You can still leave, but most of your money cannot.

Conclusion
The NSA can listen to every word we speak and write and the TSA continues to grope the genitals of our wives and children at the airport, all in the name of security. Meanwhile, we admit gangsters (e.g. the Zeta’s) and terrorists (i.e. Hamas) into our country with no questions asked.

Unless we force Congress to impeach the lunatic occupying the Oval office, we are all facing greatly increasing levels of danger.

Banking Holiday in Panama Announced!

By Randy Hilarski

This morning the National Bank of Panama announced that it was suspending all services until Tuesday the 1st of October. The National Bank of Panama says that the reason is to upgrade systems. The Banking Holiday in Panama was announced this am.

This system wide shutdown has country wide implications. The National Bank of Panama did not warn the people before making the announcement and shutting down the banks. The people do not have access to ATM’s either. We received word of this from family members first. This weekend is payday for people across Panama.

I am active among the Gold and Silver investing community. We have been discussing at great length about the possibility of bank holidays in countries on the Dollar standard. Could Panama just be the first domino to fall in the banking system? Could this be more than just a system upgrade? Why not tell the people ahead of time to prepare for the closure of the banking system?

What are some reasons for a bank holiday? The National Bank of Panama says it is a system upgrade, I don’t believe it is that simple. Maybe a Dollar revaluation could be coming soon. Maybe it is something more serious like a banking crisis like we had in Indonesia back in 1997 or more recently in Cyprus. I am hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

What are some things you can do to protect yourself if Panama is just the first signal of a pending banking crisis? First and foremost make sure to have some cash. Second buy the essentials for your family. Be frugal until the storm passes. I know this sounds simplistic, but those who are prepared will be fine.

I feel for the Panama families who live paycheck to paycheck. They were expecting to be paid tomorrow. This is the time that they go grocery shopping, put gas in their cars and pay the bills. This delay will have wide ranging affects on the people of Panama.

Do not be unprepared, you have it within your power to be ready for such a situation!

Latest update. 6pm CST

The Clave (Debit Card) system has been taken offline. No wire transfers between banks and internationally until the 1st of October. Panamanians will be required to go to their local bank branch to take out cash.

Homeland Security to test BOSS facial recognition

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security will test its crowd-scanning facial recognition system, known as the Biometric Optical Surveillance System, or BOSS, at a junior hockey game this weekend, according to the Russian news agency RT.

With assistance from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, DHS will test its system at a Western Hockey League game in Washington state. The test will determine whether the system can distinguish the faces of 20 volunteers out of a crowd of nearly 6,000 hockey fans, to evaluate how successfully BOSS can locate a person of interest.

According to DHS, BOSS technology consists of two cameras capable of taking stereoscopic images of a face and a back end remote matching system. Stereoscopic images are two images of the same object, taken at slightly different angles that create an illusion of three-dimensional depth from two-dimensional images.

The cameras transfer the pair of images to the remote matching system by way of fiber optic or wireless technology. The system then processes and stores the two images into a 3-D signature, which is the mathematical representation of the stereo-pair images that the system uses for matching.

Using the BOSS facial recognition algorithms, the signature is matched against a locally stored database created from volunteers, using a combination of mathematical and statistical analysis.

BOSS is capable of capturing images of an individual at 50-100 meters in distance. The system can capture images of subjects participating from a specific distance, or be set up in a way that tracks and passively captures frontal face images of an individual as he/she moves in front of the camera.

As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, a $5.2 million contract for BOSS was awarded toElectronic Warfare Associates, a U.S. military contractor.

Recently the system was not deemed ready since it could not achieve 80 to 90 percent identification accuracy at a distance of 100 meters and could not process and identify images in less than 30 seconds against a biometric database.

This weekend’s test will attempt to rectify this deficiency. If the test succeeds, the technology conceivably could be used at international crossings and other ports across the United States patrolled by the department.

US appeasement of Iran drowns Israel’s military option against nuclear Iran or chemical Syria

Thursday, Sept.26, will go down in Israel’s history as the day it lost its freedom to use force either against the Iranian nuclear threat hanging over its head or Syria’s chemical capacity – at least, so long as Barack Obama is president of the United States. During that time, the Iranian-Syrian-Hizballah axis, backed by active weapons of mass destruction, is safe to grow and do its worst.
Ovations for the disarming strains of Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani’s serenade to the West and plaudits for the pragmatism of its Foreign Minister Mohammed Zarif flowed out of every window of UN Center in New York this week.

Secretary of State John Kerry, who took part in the highest-level face to face encounter with an Iranian counterpart in more than 30 years, did say that sanctions would not be removed until Tehran produced a transparent and systematic plan for dismantling its nuclear program.

But then, in an interview to CBS TV, he backpedaled. Permission for international inspectors to visit the Fordo underground enrichment facility would suffice for the easing of sanctions starting in three months’ time.
By these words, the US pushed back Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s first demand to shutter Fordo and its equipment for enriching uranium to near-weapons grade, which he reiterated at this week’s Israeli cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.

To Tehran, Kerry therefore held out the promise of a short deadline for starting to wind sanctions down - this coming December.

Tehran’s primary objective is therefore within reach, the easing for sanctions without having to rescind any part of its nuclear aspirations - called “nuclear rights” in Iranian parlance.

The foreign ministers of the five permanent Security Council members and Germany, meeting Thursday with Zarif, arranged to resume formal nuclear negotiations next month in Geneva.
In another chamber of the UN building, the Americans were busy climbing all the way down from the military threat Barack Obama briefly brandished against Bashar Assad’s use of chemical weapons eons ago – on August 31 – before he killed it by passing the decision to the US Congress.
Any suggestion of force against Assad was finally buried at the UN Security Council Thursday, when the United States accepted a formal motion requiring Syria to comply with the international ban on chemical weapons, while yielding to Moscow’s insistence on dropping the penalty for non-compliance incorporated in the original US-British-French draft.

The message relayed to Tehran from both wings of UN headquarters was that it was fully shielded henceforth by a Russian veto and US complaisance against the oft-vaunted “credible military option” waved by Washington. Iran and its close ally, the Syrian ruler Assad, were both now safe from military retribution – from the United States and Israel alike – and could develop or even use their weapons of mass destruction with impunity.

Israel’s Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz, who was on the spot, could do little but repeat his government’s demands of Tehran to anyone who would listen, shouted down by the flood of conciliation pouring out for the new Iranian president. There was no escaping the conclusion that the Netanyahu government’s policy – if that is what it could be called - for preventing a nuclear-armed Iran is in tatters.

Iran, instead of facing world pressure to disarm its nuclear program, managed to turn the spotlight on Israel, requiring the world to denuclearize the entire Middle East and force Israel to join the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.

Given the atmosphere prevailing in the world body these days, it is not surprising that the speech delivered to the assembly by the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas was rated moderate – even when he called the establishment of the State of Israel a “historic, unprecedented injustice which has befallen the Palestinian people in al-Nakba of 1948” and demand redress.
This perversion of the UN's historic action to create a Jewish state could only go down as moderate in a climate given over wholly under John Kerry’s lead to appeasing the world’s most belligerent nations and forces, so long as they made the right diplomatic noises.

Russia, China Hold Large-Scale War Games

Pentagon intelligence agencies are closely watching Russian and Chinese war games now taking place in Europe and Asia involving tens of thousands of troops.

Meanwhile, NATO military forces are set to conduct large-scale maneuvers in November that will be designed to counter growing concerns of a westward Russian military encroachment, according to U.S. officials.

“The Russians are moving forces closer to Europe, and that is troubling,” said a military official.

Russia’s Zapad-13 military exercises in Belarus are scheduled to end Thursday. They included practice attacks on a western state, said one official familiar with reports of the maneuvers.

Some 13,000 Russian and Belarusian troops took part with over 60 aircraft and helicopters and up to 250 vehicles.

The forces practiced “rapid reaction” drills.

Russian officials recently denied Polish press reports that the Zapad-13 would include a notional nuclear attack on Warsaw. However, Russian officials have said the war games will involve practicing precision air and missile strikes.

On the Russian air base, Russian air force chief Lt. Gen. Vladimir Bondarev announced in June that the air base for Su-27 jets in Belarus would be opened near the city of Lida, near the border with Poland and Lithuania.

Bondarev said the warplanes would bolster a 1997 defense agreement between the two countries in response to NATO expansion.

It will be Russia’s first military base in Europe since the collapse of the Soviet Union, and along with it the Warsaw Pact, in 1991. Moscow currently has military bases in Armenia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has moved away from democracy and shifted the former Soviet republic away from Europe and toward Russia, restoring many symbols from Soviet Belarus.

In response to Polish press reports on the simulated nuclear strike on Poland’s capital, state-run Interfax news agency in April denied the reports. “Claims that West 2013 will allegedly practice a preventive nuclear strike on Warsaw are nothing but imagination of Polish journalists,” a high-ranking officer was quoted as saying.

Belarusian Deputy Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Pyotr Tsikhanowski said in June, “The theme of the exercise is the training and the engagement of troops in order to ensure the military security of the Union State [of Belarus and Russia].” New weapons and military equipment will be tested during the exercises, he added.

War game scenarios include an “escalation of relations with countries based on interethnic, interreligious differences, and territorial claims,” he said.

“At the same time, the conflicting states are hypothetically located within the actual borders of Belarus and the three western and northwestern regions of Russia,” Tsikhanowski said.

U.S. military officials said the war games are part of a larger Russian effort to use military power to bolster its position in the former Soviet republics with a larger military presence.

Russia also has a ballistic missile warning radar at Baranovichi, Belarus, and a Navy communications facility used to communicate with Russian submarines. Moscow also supplied Belarus with advanced S-300 missile defenses and Tor-M2 surface-to-air missiles.

The exercises drew criticism from Eastern European NATO governments.

“Russia has officially stated that these are anti-terrorism exercises,” Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas told AFP. “But the number of participants and amount of military equipment indicates that that this is not their agenda.”

Senior Estonian military official Lt. Col. Eero Rebo said: “The Kremlin claims that the exercise is about fighting terrorism, but based on the information we have on Zapad 2013, the exercise has an anti-West agenda.”

“If you look at the Baltic sea region, the strategic balance has been changing quite drastically in the last decade, and not in our favor,” Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks said Friday.

“We are concerned because we see such large-scale exercises in context,” he added. NATO approved special defense plans for Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, which have a combined population of just over six million, in 2010.

NATO will hold an Eastern European exercise in November called Steadfast Jazz in the Baltic region and Poland with around 6,000 NATO troops.

The alliance claims the exercises from Nov. 2 to Nov. 9 are not aimed at Russia.

“For the past 10 to 12 years we have become incredibly proficient at the counter-insurgency mission that we have been fighting in Afghanistan,” NATO’s military commander, U.S. Air Force Gen. Philip Breedlove, told reporters in Brussels Sept. 18.

To defend an alliance state, “we have to be prepared for the more high end of military operations,” he said, according to Reuters.

The exercise scenario will involve NATO forces ousting a foreign invader that Breedlove denied was a hypothetical counterstrike to a Russian invasion.

Meanwhile in China, Chinese military forces are engaged in large-scale exercises involving some 40,000 troops.

The People’s Liberation Army announced its “Mission Action 2013” began Tuesday.

Troops from the Nanjing and Guangzhou military regions and air forces were set to take part.

The PLA troops will conduct maneuvers over large areas using military ground vehicles, trains, ships, and aircraft to test forces for “real war” conditions.

The exercises will include coordination between military and civilian assets, including civilian jets and trains to transport forces, according to state-run Chinese press reports.

Chinese aircraft taking part in the war games include jet fighters, bombers, and other aircraft.

The exercise also will seek to boost Chinese combined arms warfare capabilities that integrate air, naval, and ground forces for long-distance fighting, joint air defense, and joint warfighting on unfamiliar terrain.

We conclude with Jim Reid's (DB) recap of overnight events
Asian equities are trading higher with the sole exception of the Nikkei (-0.1%). This comes despite headlines that the Japanese government is ready to announce a JPY5trn supplementary budget which form part of stimulus measures to be announced by PM Abe next week. Japanese CPI data for August showed that national inflation was up 0.9% YoY (vs 0.8% expected) while CPI was +0.8% YoY excluding fresh food (vs +0.7% expected). DB’s Japanese economist Matsuoka-san believes that CPI should continue to trend upwards to a maximum of 1.0-1.5%YoY in 1H 2014. USDJPY is trading 0.3% lower at 98.7 this morning. Outside of Japan, Asian equities are up between a quarter and half a percent. In China, there is building anticipation ahead of the launch of Shanghai’s free trade zone this weekend. The FT suggests that the free trade zone could be a testing ground for financial reforms including interest rate deregulation, a more freely-floating exchange rate and the elimination of investment restrictions for foreign firms. Chinese interbank rates hit multi-week highs today, but this is mainly being driven by quarter-end effects and a strong demand for liquidity ahead of a week-long Chinese holiday starting Oct 1st.
Back in Europe, the Italian fixed income market came under pressure yesterday (10yr yields +10bp), as did its stock market (MIB -1.2%), following a renewed bout of political uncertainty. Late on Thursday, PM Letta said that he was headed back to Rome from NYC to save his coalition from collapse  after a number of Berlusconi’s political allies threatened a mass exodus from government. According to the lower house leader for Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party, Renato Brunetta, many party lawmakers have signed their resignation letters (Dow Jones). Mr Letta will meet immediately with President Napolitano on returning to Rome on Friday to determine the best course forward. Potential actions include a new parliamentary confidence vote for his government. The uncertainty comes at an awkward time for the government which must finalise its 2014 budget by mid-October. Note that in its rating downgrade of Italy in July, S&P mentioned that a “downward revision of our view of Italy's institutional and governance effectiveness score could lead to a lowering of the rating by one notch or more”. Both Moody’s and S&P have a “negative” outlook assigned to Italy’s Baa2/BBB ratings.
Moving back across the Atlantic, the USD rallied against its DM and EM counterparts, treasuries closed weaker and US equities snapped a 5-day losing streak after sentiment was supported by the release of better than expected US initial jobless claims data (305k vs 325k expected). This figure is the lowest since 2007, excluding the week ending September 6, when a change in computer systems in California and Nevada distorted the data (Bloomberg). Other data was more mixed. Pending homes sales fell 1.6% vs (1% expected) in August after July was revised lower to -1.4% (-1.3% initially), potentially showing the impact of low inventory and rising rates. There was little apparent progress in US fiscal talks and a number of political analysts mentioned that it’s now increasingly likely we will see a short-term government shutdown. After the US close, consumer-bellwether Nike  reported Q1 results that topped EPS and revenue estimates. Its shares were up 6%+ in afterhours trading. Retail stocks bounced back 0.9%, partly unwinding Wednesday’s Wal-Mart-inspired losses.
Political developments look set to dominate the news flow today. In Italy, PM Letta is due to discuss the future of his coalition with President Napolitano this morning. In Washington DC, markets will be eyeing the passage of the continuing resolution through the US senate. The data docket features business sentiment surveys in Europe, August US personal income/spending and the final UofMichigan consumer survey reading. The Fed’s Dudley, Evans and Rosengren speak today, as will Draghi who is scheduled to speak in Italy.
