More and more Americans have a negative view of Islam and Muslims

It should be 100%. However, Americans are slowly but surely starting to understand the grave threat that Islam and its followers pose to our way of life, our system of government, and the safety of our citizens. And it isn’t because of blogs like this one, it is because of Muslim behavior here and around the world.

The Left wing media backlash following revelations that Democrat convention Paki Muslim star Khizr Khan is in fact an operative of the Muslim Brotherhood, has resulted in the Washington Post doing yet another article on “Islamophobia,” implying that the growing hatred for Muslims in America is somehow unjustified.

Washington Post  For many Muslim Americans, these types of groundless suspicions — of their religion, or of their loyalty to the country — have become a familiar fact of living in the United States in the post-9/11 era. Public opinion polling has generally shown that substantial minorities, and in some cases majorities, of American citizens support treating Muslims differently than other religious groups, or otherwise hold negative views of Islam.

Here’s a rundown of what the latest polling says.

1. A majority of Americans support Trump’s Muslim travel ban.

As of June, half of all Americans supported Donald Trump’s proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States. Support for the ban ticked upward after the shooting at an Orlando nightclub in June in which the shooter claimed allegiance to the Islamic State.

2. Americans view Muslims more negatively than members of any other religion.

Fully one-quarter of Americans say they hold a “mostly unfavorable” or “very unfavorable” opinion of American Muslims, according to a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Before the unsurge in Muslim terrorist attacks in America and around the world, in 2014, the Pew Research Center asked Americans to rate their feelings toward various religious groups on a 0 to 100 scale, with 0 representing the most negative feelings and 100 the most positive. Americans placed Islam at the bottom of the scale, with a mean rating of 40 out of 100, just a hair behind atheists.

3. Over 40 percent of Americans admit to feeling prejudice toward Muslims.

A 2010 Gallup poll found that 43 percent of Americans said they felt at least a little prejudice toward Muslims. Nearly 1 in 10 admitted to a “great deal” of prejudice. These numbers were considerably higher than for any other religious group. (You can bet the numbers are much higher in 2016)

4. One-quarter of Americans think a special ID card for Muslims would prevent terrorist attacks.

A June 2014 Gallup poll found that 25 percent of American adults say that “requiring Muslims, including those who are U.S. citizens, to carry a special ID” would be an effective way to prevent terror incidents like the Orlando nightclub shooting.

Donald Trump has talked openly about creating a national registry for Muslim citizens. A CBS poll in December 2015 found that nearly half of Americans supported such an idea.

5. One-third of Americans want the government to keep a closer eye on Muslim citizens.

A March 2016 Pew poll found that one-third of American voters — including nearly two-thirds of Trump supporters — say that U.S. Muslims should be “subject to more scrutiny” solely because of their religion.

6. Half of Americans say that some or all American Muslims are anti-American.

And according to a February 2016 Pew Research Center poll, more than one in 10 Americans say that “most” or “almost all” American Muslims harbor anti-American views. Among conservative Republicans, that figure is nearly one in five.

7. Nearly half of Republicans say Islam encourages violence.

A December 2015 Quinnipiac poll found that 28 percent of all Americans said that “mainstream Islam encourages violence against non-Muslims.” Among Republicans, that figure was 47 percent. Only 13 percent of Democrats said the same.

8. Most Americans say Muslims haven’t done enough to oppose extremism.

A December 2015 survey by the Public Religion Research Institute found that over half of Americans said that “American Muslims have not done enough to oppose extremism in their own communities.”

9. Most Americans believe Muslims don’t want to assimilate into American society.

Although A majority of Muslim Americans (56 percent) said that most Muslims simply want to adapt the ways and customs of American life, as opposed to remaining distinct from American society at large, Americans aren’t buying it.  Tellingly, only 33 percent of the general public thought that most Muslims want to adapt the ways and customs of American life.

Christians In Turkey Need To Leave NOW If They Want To Live

If you are a Christian living in Turkey, you need to leave right now. Your life may depend on it.

In a recent story, a church was destroyed by pro-Erdogan Muslims. Christians on the ground are reporting that both the government and local Imams are encouraging attacks against Christians and heterodox Muslims in the name of purifying Islam and ‘defending’ Turkey:

For others the night presented different opportunities as hardline Muslim Sunnis, whipped up to a frenzy, targeted Turkey’s Christian community.

In Matalya, a sprawling city in Anatolia, once the heartland of Christianity in the East, they targeted a Protestant church.

The word church is a grand term for the small, modern shopfront nestled in the city’s minority Alevi district.

For, despite a tolerant constitution, Protestants are not allowed to build churches in Turkey. Even the name church must be coupled to the non-threatening “association”.

Gangs chanting “Allahu akbar” rounded on it to smash its glass frontage. “The attack on the church was light. But it’s significant that it was the only shopfront attack in those three days,” said its minister, Pastor Tim Stone, last night. “We were the only targets.”

Nor was Matalya alone. In the Black Sea city of Trabzon others attacked the Santa Maria church, smashing windows and using hammers to break down its door.

The events of that Saturday night were not new for either city. In 2007, three Christian employees of a publishing house for bibles in Malatya were attacked. After being tortured, their hands and feet were tied and their throats cut by five Muslim assailants.

The minister in charge is directly appointed by the president. And it is a sermon written by department chiefs that imams read out on Fridays. One sermon warned that Turks should not befriend Jewish people or Christians because they serve the West.

“There’s no doubt that the government uses the mosques to get its message across to its grassroots supporters,” said Mr Kabakci. “There’s is an atmosphere in Turkey right now that anyone who isn’t Sunni is a threat to the stability of the nation” he added.

“Even the educated classes here don’t associate personally with Jews or Christians. It’s more than suspicion. It’s a case of ‘let’s get rid of anyone who isn’t Sunni’.” (source)

This incident is a foretelling of what will happen in the near future: a repeat of the Ottoman massacres of Christians of 1917.

Turkey has a long history of murdering Christians going back to the first says that the then-pagan Turks rode down from the Altaic plains and into the Anatolian peninsula. They have never embraced Christianity in mass, but did so consistently for Islam, and they see themselves as both the guardian of Islam and even more Arabized than the very Arab peoples themselves. The Turk is the temporal menace who serves the Mohammedan demon and as such his hatred of Christianity is as overpowering as it is unnatural. Once temporarily stopped during the early 20th century, the Turk has embraced his old ways again and is planning yet another massacre of Christians as he has done in the past.

Ask the Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks who had and still do live in and around Turkey, and they will tell you the same: Christians, get out while you still can.

Satanic Temple Pushing After-School Clubs for Youngsters

Satanists have taken their recruitment to the breeding ground for America's children: public schools.

The Satanic Temple planned to send out a letter August 1 to demand their After School Satan Club be offered to youngsters juxtaposed to the evangelistic Good News Club.

"TST's 'After School Satan Clubs' are led by caring Satanists from local chapters in the community near the school," according to a letter to be sent to the Unified School District in Los Angeles.

"The ASSC curriculum is based on principles that teach secular moral values, critical thinking and self-determination," the letter continues. "All children are welcome regardless of their religious background and parents are welcome to attend."

Prominent Christian leaders, like evangelist Franklin Graham, are horrified at the push:
Saturday The Washington Post reported that "After School Satan Clubs" could be coming to elementary schools across the country. The initiative is sponsored by The Satanic Temple which says they don't worship Satan at all, but they are a voice for secularism. We are already seeing the devastating effects of secularism everywhere. These self-proclaimed political activists are open about the fact that they're really just trying to counter the success of Christian clubs such as the "Good News Clubs" that have spread across America. 

They think there's not enough separation of church and state. Their leader and co-founder Doug Mesner (who goes by Lucien Greaves) is fervently leading this charge. Will you join me in doing something unexpected? Let's pray for this man's eyes to be opened to the truth of the gospel and his own personal need of a Savior. Pray for his heart to be touched and softened by the working of God's Holy Spirit.

Let's also pray for school leadership to have wisdom to decline the letter of request for these After School Satan Clubs which the article says will be going out today.
