Before you read my article, may I suggest that you read Larry Pinkney’s “Barack Obama’s de facto totalitarian nation.” After reading Mr. Pinkney’s erudite assessment of what we now have in the USA, readers will be able to comprehend what I think makes sense and needs implementation.
Political party politics aside, there just may be more merit to his assessment than is obvious. U.S. Senator Ted Cruz’s report is“The Legal Limit: The Obama Administration’s Attempts to Expand Federal Power – Report No. 2: Obamacare”
Larry Pinkney opens his article with Huey P. Long’s infamous remark,
When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in an American flag. Why do I say “infamous remark”? Well, Huey P. Long was a former governor of Louisiana and said it because of his anti-corporate-control policies agenda, and for which he apparently was assassinated at 42 years of age. According to the official Huey P. Long website,
Long was revered by the masses as a champion of the common man anddemonized by the powerful as a dangerous demagogue. [Demonization is their classic, ages-old modus operandi. Look what happens to those who expose GMO crops, toxic vaccines, chemtrails, the Federal Reserve, etc., etc.]
Huey Long believed that government should protect and uplift its most vulnerable citizens and provide opportunity for everyone, regardless of race or class. He broke the monopoly on power held by the ruling elite and their corporate backers andtransformed Louisiana politics, [which corporate controllers do NOT like nor want, as it interferes with their plans.] [CJF emphasis added]
Apparently, Governor Long saw the proverbial handwriting on the wall, i.e., corporate-control of government in the State of Louisiana, and he was most vocal about not allowing that to happen, as can be seen and heard in this historical movie-news-real made into a YouTube. Since Long was going to make a run for the U.S. presidency, he apparently had to be done away with. And so, like President John F. Kennedy who also wanted to remove control that the corporate and banking worlds’ were amassing over humans, our finances and our lives, Huey P. Long was assassinated. That was in 1935! Think about what’s happened since then. Was Governor Huey right or was he wrong? Each reader has to decide for him- or herself.
Getting back to Mr. Pinkney’s article, we need to consider seriously what seems to describe Huey Long’s Louisiana in the 1930s but now couched to reflect current national politics and policies:
The fact is, that totalitarianism and “fascism,” in the words of Huey P. Long, have already incrementally “[come] to America;” and not only “wrapped in an American flag” via false patriotism and corporate hegemony; but also aided and abetted by unprincipled and hypocritical gatekeepers who masquerade as so-called “progressives.” It is incumbent upon each and every one of us to expose and resist this encroaching de facto fascist totalitarianism in this nation. And this includes exposing those “progressive” pretenders who, among other tactics, utilize the ‘race’/color card from their arsenal, against the best interests, needs, and aspirations of everyday ordinary Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people in this nation. [3] [CJF emphasis added]
However, Messrs. Long and Pinkney are not alone regarding fascist or totalitarian actions in the USA. Currently in the U.S. Senate, Texas Senator Ted, in a series of reports, has been examining the current Administration’s use of executive power(s). The Cruz report findings on ObamaCare obviously are neither favorable nor conducive to the constitutional form of government we are supposed to have in the United States and which has been overtaken by vested corporate interests’ influence, it seems.
Personally, this writer thinks Congress is to blame because members have their greedy hands out to take all the campaign funding they can get from corporations. Suggestion: New law on the books immediately that states: No corporate funding to any political campaigns starting with the 2014 election cycle. Do you think that will happen? Heck, no! Congress knows how to work the system to their financial benefits, disregarding the resulting harm to our country and its citizens.
In a statement with his latest report, Senator Cruz said, “President Obama has made explicit that if the Congress won’t agree to his preferred policies, then the President will simply rewrite the law through an abuse of executive power.”
THE LEGAL LIMIT: THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION’S ATTEMPTS TO EXPAND FEDERAL POWER Report No. 2: The Administration’s Lawless Acts on Obamacare and Continued Court Challenges to Obamacare
By U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) Ranking Member, Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on The Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights, which can be read in its entirety here.In reading the report you will see how Senator Cruz juxtaposes some aspects of ObamaCare to the 2014 election cycle. Hint: Delay much of the oppressive and unknown parts of the law until after the 2014 election so that those who signed on to it will be re-elected. Well, voters have to make certain that does not happen, I’d say.
In August of 2013 Freedom Works posted listings of Congressional members who signed the “Defund ObamaCare” Letter, which can be found here, if interested in knowing that information.
Additionally, here’s a state-by-state list of members of Congress, prepared by Americans for Tax Reform, on how Congress voted regarding ObamaCare or its repeal.
As Mr. Pinkney stated,
Ultimately, as it becomes increasingly undeniable that ‘Obamacare’ (the so-called Affordable Care Act) is a pharmaceutical/insurance corporate smoke-and-mirrors fraud, the struggling people of this nation will come to realize that they have yet again been callously and systemically hoodwinked. [4]As this writer sees it, it’s not too early to start thinking about what’s called the mid-term elections and how we the voters want to see the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives represent us,We the People.
Do we want corporate-fascism or do we want a constitutional republic as given to us under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights with one—and only one change, i.e., PEOs, which really is not written in either document as far as I can tell. Divest and take away what’s become known as Presidential Executive Orders, which are one-man-rule powers, i.e., absolute dictatorship when the president so declares, and delete all previous PEOs from the books and the land of the free and the home of the brave.
How brave are we? The 2014 elections will say we either are patriots or, as per former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell’s apparent favorite term, “Wusses”!
