From Portland, Oregon to Portland Maine, Jade Helm Forces Are Preparing for the Final Crackdown

Slacker 614 sent me this original video of a massive shipment of medical, surveillance, equipment supply, and troop transport and mechanized fighting vehicles being transported through Union Station in Portland, Oregon.

This is typical of what is going on in our country on a daily basis. This is unprecedented, unwarranted, a drain on the American taxpayer and is ultimately very dangerous to the safety and security of every American.

From one Portland to another Portland, a local Maine newspaper details how Jade Helm military forces are training with local law enforcement in order to quell any “civil unrest”.

PORTLAND, Maine — — A new mobile command unit to be used by Portland and South Portland police and fire departments sits outside Portland City Hall on Monday. The unit doubles as a conference and communications center.

Jason Dewitt sent me publicly available information from Maine in which the police of Portland, Maine and the military police and local law enforcement will be training to prepare for civil unrest. Details were not available, but with what we already know about Jade Helm, details are not necessary.

At approximately 9:45pm, my wife and I were sitting outside enjoying the cooler weather when we heard an explosion.  It sounded like an oil well type explosion which happens occasionally here in west Texas, oil country.  When that occurs you always see flame or smoke.  We did not see either.  Then, we started hearing gunfire.  I recognized it immediately as military munitions.  I asked my wife to get your her ISPYPHONE 6 and record what we were hearing.  You hear walking in the direction of the gunfire.  At the 20 second mark in the MPEG4 audio you start to hear rapid gunfire.  Then at the 1:11 minute mark, the 1:36, and 2:50 minute marks you hear gunfire.  My weapons understanding is that this gunfire is either 50 cal or 30 cal.  Listen Dave, they are here.  We have never heard this before.  We live in Martin County Texas between Big Spring and Midland Texas….Marlon

Every Martial Law Contains Travel Restrictions

Consider what happened on the Rick Wiles show the other night when a listener called in and talked about the fact that there was a temporary roadblock for people traveling to Washington from Idaho. This information is discussed at the 48:54 mark of the show.

Additionally, I received this email from a reader from Idaho who complained that his 68 year old aunt was traveling west from Idaho to Washington when she was detained and accosted by military forces.

Travel restrictions will be a part of this process.

My aunt and I read all of your articles and listen to your show every week. I never dreamed I would be writing to you. 

My 68 year old aunt was traveling from Idaho to Washington when she was stopped at a Border Patrol type checkpoint. But it was not the Border Patrol, it was the military with people that my aunt suspected of being foreign military. 

She was asked for her ID and she asked if she had done something wrong. The soldier said no but he had to see her ID. She asked if she was free to go and the soldier replied that she had to report to a side area and have her vehicle searched. She was told that she would consent to the search or she would be dragged from her vehicle and the car would be searched anyway.  

She began to call them communists and Nazis and this is America and they had no right to do this. They detained her for an hour. And then they released her. If this can happen to my aunt, it can happen to anyone. Thanks for all that you do.

Ft. Hood

Dave,

You may already know about this, but here it is.   I have a employee who is in the Army Reserves, and he went to Ft. Hood Texas last weekend July 31- August 2 to qualify on the range.  He has been deployed 3X in the past, always out of Ft. Hood, so he knows the layout.  Usually when they are up there for the weekend training they stay in one of the barracks in “North” Ft. Hood, the area they use for deployments.  He normally stays in the barracks on his weekend training sessions, but this time they stayed in tents approx 1 mile away from the barracks because the barracks are full (of Jade Helm soldiers?).  The barracks he says are set up like row houses one after another.  Each one of the barracks NOW has its own 10 foot fence with razor wire (around each of the barracks individually). He could not figure why they would do that.  I asked if they had guard towers like you think of for concentration camps and he responded not yet, but that they are still building everywhere on the base. Said it was “creepy”, his words, as no one would tell then what was going on and why all the fence and wire. Said no one was talking.

This is just a small cross-section of what crosses my email every single day. The martial law take over of American is massive and it is proceeding at breakneck speed. The reports from each successive week or more disturbing that the reports from the previous week. These Jade Helm troops are emboldened and they are in violation of their sacred oath to enforce the Constitution.

I predict as we approach the Pope’s upcoming speech, we will see an increase in martial law troops and the scope of their mission as they prepare to enforce what is coming our way this fall.

Gerald Celente Is Predicting That A Stock Market Crash Will Happen By The End Of 2015

Gerald Celente of the Trends Research Institute has just gone on the record with a prediction that there will be a stock market crash by the end of this calendar year.  If you are not familiar with Gerald Celente, he is one of the most highly respected trends forecasters in the entire world.  He has been featured on CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Morning News, NBC Nightly News and Coast to Coast AM.  Personally, I have a lot of respect for him.  While it is true that not every single one of his forecasts about the future came to pass over the years, he does have a very solid track record that goes back for decades.  He correctly predicted the 1987 stock market crash, the bursting of the dotcom bubble and the financial panic of 2008.  Just a couple of days ago, he told Eric King the following: “I’m now predicting that we are going to see a global stock market crash before the end of the year.”  Celente says that it won’t just be U.S. stocks either.  He believes that crashes are also coming to “the DAX, the FTSE, the CAC, Shanghai, and the Nikkei”.  It other words, it is going to be a truly global financial crisis and he says that there is “going to be panic on the streets from Wall Street to Shanghai and from the UK down to Brazil”.

When you go out on a limb like this, you are putting your credibility on the line.  This is something that Celente has only done a few times in the past, and normally he has been spot on…

Rarely do I ever put a date on market crashes. I did it in 1987 when I forecast the 1987 stock market crash — that was in the Wall Street Journal. I also forecast the ‘Panic of 2008,’ and the ‘dot-com bust’ in October of 1999, when I said it (the dot-com mania) would fail in the second quarter of 2000…

Of course Celente is far from alone.  Many others have also been warning that a new financial crisis is imminent.

For instance, just check out what David Stockman recently told CNBC…

David Stockman has long warned that the stock market is on the verge of a massive collapse, and the recent price action has him even more convinced than ever that the bottom is about to fall out.

“I think it’s pretty obvious that the top is in,” the Reagan administration’s OMB director said Thursday on CNBC’s “Futures Now.” The S&P 500 has traded in a historically narrow range for the better part of 2015, having moved just 1 percent higher year to date. “It’s just waiting for the knee-jerk bulls, robo traders and dip buyers to finally capitulate.”

Stockman, whose past claims have yet to come to fruition, still believes that the excessive monetary policy from central banks around the world has created a “debt supernova,” and all the signs point to “the end of the central bank enabled bubble,” which could cause a worldwide recession.

Just a few days ago, I authored an article entitled “8 Financial Experts That Are Warning That A Great Financial Crisis Is Imminent” which showed that a whole bunch of other financial experts are sounding the alarm about an implosion of the financial markets.

And before any of these warnings came out, I issued my “red alert” for the last six months of 2015 back on June 25th.

There is a growing consensus that something really, really bad is about to happen in the very near future.

You know that we are really late in the game when the mainstream media starts sounding exactly like The Economic Collapse Blog.

On July 22nd, I authored a piece entitled “Commodities Collapsed Just Before The Last Stock Market Crash – So Guess What Is Happening Right Now?”

Now compare that headline to this recent one from Bloomberg: “Commodities Are Crashing Like It’s 2008 All Over Again“.

The mainstream media is starting to get it.  The exact same patterns that we witnessed just prior to the last financial crisis are playing out once again right before our very eyes.  Here is an excerpt from that Bloomberg article…

Attention commodities investors: Welcome back to 2008!

The meltdown has pushed as many commodities into bear markets as there were in the month after the collapse of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., which spurred the worst financial crisis seven years ago since the Great Depression.

Eighteen of the 22 components in the Bloomberg Commodity Index have dropped at least 20 percent from recent closing highs, meeting the common definition of a bear market. That’s the same number as at the end of October 2008, when deepening financial turmoil sent global markets into a swoon.

This is the kind of stuff that I have been hammering on for weeks.

Another sign that we saw back in 2008 that is repeating once again is a substantial slowdown in global trade.  Over the weekend, we got some more bad news on this front from China.  The following comes from Zero Hedge…

Overnight we got another acute reminder of just who is lying hunched over, comatose in the driver’s seat of global commerce: the country whose July exports just crashed by 8.3% Y/Y (and down 3.6% from the month before) far greater than the consensus estimate of only a 1.5% drop, and the biggest drop in four months following the modest June rebound by 2.8%: China.

It wasn’t just exports, imports tumbled as well by 8.1%, fractionally worse than the -8.0% consensus, and down from the -6.1% in June as China’s commodity tolling operations are suddenly mothballed.

The crisis that so many have been waiting for is here.

As the coming weeks and months play out, there will be good days and there will be bad days.  Remember, some of the biggest one day gains in U.S. stock market history happened right in the middle of the financial crisis of 2008.  So don’t get fooled by what happens on any one particular day.

Also, please do not think that this crisis will be “over” by the end of 2015.  What we are moving into is just the start of the crisis.  Things will continue to unravel as we move into 2016 and beyond.  The recession that we experienced back in 2008 and 2009 will seem like a Sunday picnic compared to what is coming by the time that everything is all said and done.

So that is why I work so hard to encourage people to get prepared.

What we are facing is not going to last for weeks or for months.

The coming crisis is going to last for years, and it is going to be painful beyond what most people would dare to imagine.

NATO Uses German Soldiers to Intimidate Russia

Germany is sending soldiers and military equipment to Latvia and Poland as a part of a NATO Response Force. With this symbolic act, the military alliance demonstrates to Russia its military “strength” that can be used at any moment, the Austrian Contra Magazin wrote.

German Bundeswehr sends soldiers "to the eastern NATO front," the magazine wrote. Even if the deployment of several hundred German soldiers on the border with Russia is a symbolic move, it can be clearly viewed as a sign that the transatlantic military alliance seeks further expansion, the article said.

NATO Needs Bigger Guns to Fight Russia – Defense Analysts

On August 15, 150 German soldiers from infantry battalion 292 were moved to Latvia along with armored vehicles for a period of three months. The official purpose of this move is "education and training," the magazine reported.

In addition, the German Bundeswehr confirmed that the German mechanized infantry battalion is set to join the ranks of the Polish army. 700 soldiers and 44 armored personnel carriers are to be fully integrated into the Polish armed forces by 2021, the article said.

This means Eastern Europe will face an influx of about a thousand German soldiers, whose task is to permanently intimidate Russia, demonstrating the threat of an attack.

"Do the Germans really want this?" asked the Austrian journalist surprised. But for the time being his question remains a rhetorical one.

Iran nearing deal for China's J-10 fighters

Iran is closing in on a deal to acquire a fleet of J-10 fighter jets — most likely the J-10A — from China to upgrade its air force, reports the Beijing-based Sina Military Network.

While UN arms sanctions against Iran are yet to be lifted following a historic deal to curb the country's nuclear program last month, Beijing is already said to be nearing an agreement to sell and/or lease J-10 multirole fighters to Tehran.

Citing Russian military websites, Sina Military notes that the J-10A model of the jet, nicknamed "Red Eagle" by the People's Liberation Army, will likely be Tehran's top candidate for the acquisition.

The country's air force basically stopped upgrading since the Islamic revolution between 1978 and 1979, the report said, adding that the F-14 fighters acquired from the US prior to the revolution remain the air force's primary option. Iran will no doubt look to update its fleet once the UN sanctions are lifted, but any acquisition will be heavily influenced by politics and balancing interests.

Accordingly, Iran is unlikely to acquire American or European military aircraft as relations have not yet improved to that stage, Sina Military said, concluding that Tehran's options are therefore limited to Russia's Su-27 or MiG-29 and China's J-10 and JF-17.


The MiG-29 has superior maneuverability but is evidently at a disadvantage in combat as there are records of several MiG-29s shot down but no record of any other fighter being shot down by a MiG-29. Russia's record of aircraft technical maintenance and repair obligations of the aircraft is also said to be poor, while Iran is not yet able to afford the improved MiG-25 model.

The Su-27 supermaneuverable fighter would also be a flawed selection for Iran's purposes because of its longer flight range, which could concern both the US and Israel and in turn lead to pressure on Russia, the report said. This is also a reason why China is unlikely to sell Iran its own version of the Su-27, the J-11B.

On the other hand, the JF-17 Thunder, co-developed by China and Pakistan and known in China as the FC-1 Xiaolong, is currently in use by the Pakistan Air Force. Complex relations between Iran and Pakistan, most recently influenced by a 2013 border incident that killed 13 people, could mean that the JF-17 has also been ruled out by Tehran.

The J-10 has a shorter range than the Su-27 but it is technically sufficient for combat and has stronger upgrade potential, the report said. To protect Chinese technology, Beijing will not sell Tehran the latest models of the J-10, meaning that the older J-10A would be the most suitable choice, the report added.

The J-10's functionality is said to be similar to that of the US F-16, but the plane can complete complex maneuvers at 900 kilometers per hour at low altitudes of 50 meters. With a range of 2,940 km, the jet will theoretically allow the Iranian air force to control the skies over the Persian Gulf.

According to the Russian news website Vzglyad, Beijing and Tehran are currently in negotiations to finalize a deal for the J-10 that will involve access rights to Iran's Azadegan oilfield. Chinese media speculate that deal may involve the supply of 24 J-10 jets by 2020 in return for 20 years of access rights, which experts estimate would be equivalent in value to about US$1 billion.

The US Economy Continues Its Collapse

Do you remember when real reporters existed? Those were the days before the Clinton regime concentrated the media into a few hands and turned the media into a Ministry of Propaganda, a tool of Big Brother. The false reality in which Americans live extends into economic life. Last Friday’s employment report was a continuation of a long string of bad news spun into good news. The media repeats two numbers as if they mean something—the monthly payroll jobs gains and the unemployment rate—and ignores the numbers that show the continuing multi-year decline in employment opportunities while the economy is allegedly recovering.

The so-called recovery is based on the U.3 measure of the unemployment rate. This measure does not include any unemployed person who has become discouraged from the inability to find a job and has not looked for a job in four weeks. The U.3 measure of unemployment only includes the still hopeful who think they will find a job.

The government has a second official measure of unemployment, U.6. This measure, seldom reported, includes among the unemployed those who have been discouraged for less than one year. This official measure is double the 5.3% U.3 measure. What does it mean that the unemployment rate is over 10% after six years of alleged economic recovery?

In 1994 the Clinton regime stopped counting long-term discouraged workers as unemployed. Clinton wanted his economy to look better than Reagan’s, so he ceased counting the long-term discouraged workers that were part of Reagan’s unemployment rate. John Williams (shadowstats.com) continues to measure the long-term discouraged with the official methodology of that time, and when these unemployed are included, the US rate of unemployment as of July 2015 is 23%,several times higher than during the recession with which Fed chairman Paul Volcker greeted the Reagan presidency.

An unemployment rate of 23% gives economic recovery a new meaning. It has been eighty-five years since the Great Depression, and the US economy is in economic recovery with an unemployment rate close to that of the Great Depression.

The labor force participation rate has declined over the “recovery” that allegedly began in June 2009 and continues today. This is highly unusual. Normally, as an economy recovers jobs rebound, and people flock into the labor force. Based on what he was told by his economic advisors, President Obama attributed the decline in the participation rate to baby boomers taking retirement. In actual fact, over the so-called recovery, job growth has been primarily among those 55 years of age and older. For example, all of the July payroll jobs gains were accounted for by those 55 and older. Those Americans of prime working age (25 to 54 years old) lost 131,000 jobs in July.

Over the previous year (July 2014 — July 2015), those in the age group 55 and older gained 1,554,000 jobs. Youth, 16-18 and 20-24, lost 887,000 and 489,000 jobs.

Today there are 4,000,000 fewer jobs for Americans aged 25 to 54 than in December 2007. From 2009 to 2013, Americans in this age group were down 6,000,000 jobs. Those years of alleged economic recovery apparently bypassed Americans of prime working age.

As of July 2015, the US has 27,265,000 people with part-time jobs, of whom 6,300,000 or 23% are working part-time because they cannot find full time jobs. There are 7,124,000 Americans who hold multiple part-time jobs in order to make ends meet, an increase of 337,000 from a year ago.

The young cannot form households on the basis of part-time jobs, but retirees take these jobs in order to provide the missing income on their savings from the Federal Reserve’s zero interest rate policy, which is keyed toward supporting the balance sheets of a handful of giant banks, whose executives control the US Treasury and Federal Reserve. With so many manufacturing and tradable professional skill jobs, such as software engineering, offshored to China and India, professional careers are disappearing in the US.

The most lucrative jobs in America involve running Wall Street scams, lobbying for private interest groups, for which former members of the House, Senate, and executive branch are preferred, and producing schemes for the enrichment of think-tank donors, which, masquerading as public policy, can become law.

The claimed payroll jobs for July are in the usual categories familiar to us month after month year after year. They are domestic service jobs—waitresses and bartenders, retail clerks, transportation, warehousing, finance and insurance, health care and social assistance. Nothing to export in order to pay for massive imports. With scant growth in real median family incomes, as savings are drawn down and credit used up, even the sales part of the economy will falter.

Clearly, this is not an economy that has a future.

But you would never know that from listening to the financial media or reading the New York Times business section or the Wall Street Journal.

When I was a Wall Street Journal editor, the deplorable condition of the US economy would have been front page news.
