America, Prepare to Defend Yourselves!

America has been invaded and is in the proces of being occupied. ILS towers which can be used to guide in troop transport planes and heavy equipment in bad weather are being put into the countryside outside of Cheyenne,Wyoming, where they have a  lot of bad weather. Intellistreets “Big Brother” surveillance is being installed in Cheyenne, Wyoming as well and is prevalent at the local Walmart. In places like Flint, Michigan, our cities are being turned into potential battlegrounds as highly obnoxious and very aggressive military drills are underway and are serving to frighten the local population. The intent of the Jade Helm forces is becoming more clear with each passing day. We have foreign troops entering the country in central Texas and in Portland, Oregon. I have previously reported that the Michigan National Guard and Army Reserve Units have trained with foreign troops in late April.

America is being occupied by hostile forces as activities such as Jade Helm are also being imposed upon American communities.As many already know, JadeHelm is preparing Special Operation Forces  to extract political dissidents and impose martial law as part of the drill. The infrastructure related to military occupation is being put into place at places like local Walmarts and in obscure placed like Wheatland, Wyoming. Unmistakably, the post-collapse America infrastructure is already being put into place all across the country as per the America 2050 Agenda 21 plan.

This is clearly intellistreets and I immediately recognized this because I have previously written about this. Intellistreets is the ultimate “Big Brother “surveillance device.

There are a number of prominent players emerging in this enslavement of America and one has taken center stage and it is called “America 2050“.

The light poles, already have been beta-tested in Farmington Hills, MI. and in Birmingham, UK., and will scan you for weapons after identifying you. It will have the capability to speak to you (i.e. “Don’t jaywalk Mr. Smith”), and will be issued a summons to be mailed to your computer and this systemnotify the police of your location if you have a warrant for your arrest. In the last line of the following manufacturer’s video on Intellistreets, they do admit to housing Department of Homeland Security features, but the video does not elaborate. We now have proof that this system is going into Cheyenne, Wyoming.

I have written about America 2050 in recent days as it is globalist plan, headed by the Obama’s administration, Mike Krulig, the founder of the Agenda 21 population centralization plan known as “Building One America”. Building One America is the first steps toward the fulfillment of the creation of 11 mega-regions which will contain six million people each. The missing 250 million people in the America 2050 plan, matches the Deagel Report of a similar population reduction for the United States to take place by 2025.

Some of the DHS features, associated with technology like Intellistreets  would include what is loosely referred to as “mind-reading technology”. Also,  The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is investing $70 million to develop a new implant that can track, and respond to, brain signals in real time. In the summer of 2013, I was contacted by an anonymous source who wanted to come on my show and expose a DARPA program of mind-reading being researched and implemented at Arizona State University. Less than two days before his scheduled appearance, he backed out sighting fears for his life. Confirmation for the involvement of Arizona State University in this project is confirmed here.

The most frightening thing about Intellistreets is the fact that this is designed for a post-collapse America and is part of the implementation of the most invasive “Big Brother” surveillance and population control devices ever invented by DARPA.  In other words, this technology is designed for use in a completely controlled totalitarian society.

I have received reports from two insider sources over the past 5 weeks which state that a large number to Turkish forces will be brought into the United States to participate in Jade Helm. They being trained as a martial law enforcement unit who will not hesitate to use lethal force against noncompliant Americans when it comes to martial law enforcement. I am a new listener, for the first time last night, as I discovered you by listening to Hagmann and Hagmann.

I am an employee at Walmart on Creighton Road in Pensacola, FL.  Please keep me asanonymous.  I have posted some of your stuff on Facebook, with the very real danger of losing my job, but folks need to know what is going on.

The reason for anonymous is this:  I started working at Walmart in February, 2011.  Some time in 2012, I noticed lots of Russians/Slavs in our store (about 25+). They were here for about two months, and they would come in groups to shop. They were very much into what they were doing, very determined shoppers, not easily distracted, very focused.  I found out they were going through some kind of classes at NAS.  That’s all my US military friend would tell me.  Most spoke Russian (a very obvious language), but others spoke diverse Slavic languages.  It is easy to tell a language when one has spent time traveling abroad, as I had in past years.  While they were here, it definitely got my attention!  Male and female, most of them young and strong, but not all.  Some were older.  One or two older ones seem to have taken permanent residence here.

Maybe I am too paranoid about their presence, but I grew up as a navy brat. My dad was in US Naval Intelligence.

Hello Dave.  I drove around between Cheyenne, Wyoming and Wheatland, Wy  about 67 miles on Interstate 25.  I will attach some photos of the towers.  Most have been added recently, say less then 2 years.  There are clusters of 3 and there are 4 different areas between the cities.  also i took a picture of a loaf and jug with a most odd fixture on it with large electrical lines to it.  and one other picture of a white cone type thing.  I first thought it was the tornado warning sirens but it is different than the others in Cheyenne town and this one is directed at the interstate and not at a residential area.  I don’t know if they are anything worth noting but they are what is happening around here.  Dave, we also last night had helicopters flying over our area just after dark using spotlights shining down. they were flying about 1500 ft. (guessing)

Speaking of Walmart

The following photos were taken at the Cheyenne, Wyoming Walmart. What you are seeing in the parking lot is of Intellistreets origin. Since Walmart is the most shopped retail outlet in America, it would make sense to put tracking equipment at Walmart.

Popping up, seeming out of nowhere.Some experts are speculating that these are fugitive detection devices. Either way, they do not belong at a retail outlet! Why are these people still shopping at Walmart?

Conclusion

FOX is launching a new show in 2o16 which glorifies Lucifer. The show is called Lucifer Morningstar. A trailer for the show portrays Lucifer as a handsome, British-accented, well-to-do ladykiller full of charm and is played by Tom Ellis. And some people questioned why I was encouraging people to pray in yesterday’s article.  With this kind of evil idolatry, can the lethal persecution of Christians be far behind?

These are stunning developments in America. Developments which would have seemed unbelievable only 1o years ago. The page of Republic Democracy has been turned. As frightening as these events, they pale in comparison to what lies ahead and that will be revealed tomorrow.

The owners of American Pharoah agreed to a marketing deal early Wednesday morning that will blanket the horse with logos from the energy drink brand Monster ahead of his run for Triple Crown glory Saturday...

The deal will give Monster the right to have its logo on the horse's prerace cooling blanket and for the company's Monster girls to surround the horse leading up to the Belmont Stakes. The company also will get its logo on the hats of the Zayats, the family who bred the horse... The logo also will be on the collar of jockey Victor Espinoza during the race...

The horse is trying to become the first to win all three legs of the Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978. In the past 15 years, six horses have won the first two legs and failed to win the Belmont.

Triple Crown contender American Pharoah has corralled a huge sponsorship deal with Monster Energy.

It’s “the biggest in the history of horse racing,” said Ben Sturner, who brought the energy drink and American Pharoah owner Zayat Stables together into the seven-figure-plus deal through his Leverage sports-marketing agency...

“If he wins this race, we’ll be a part of one of the most amazing feats of our time,” he said, referring to Saturday’s Belmont Stakes.

Thanks to Mark for alerting me to this sponsorship deal. It does appear quite significant. As the article above states, this is the largest financial sponsorship of a horse in history. It is also an unusual pairing, as noted by Yahoo Finance Senior Columnist Michael Santoli.

“Monster, this extreme brand, it’s very much a youth brand. It’s kind of spur of the moment,” he notes. “Horseracing demographics, it’s a pretty sedate group, it’s an older group.”

Oddities and aberrations often grab my attention. Things that are out of the normal often are used as messages to reveal something that is hidden. For example why are the o and the a reversed in the spelling of the word Pharoah in this horse’s name? The letters a and o are often associated with Alpha and Omega, a phrase used to describe the Son of God. Would we not expect an anti-Christ to do things backwards? Why would Monster Energy Drink broker this deal with the owner of American Pharoah? What is the significance of this association? Perhaps it has to do with Monster’s logo, which has been widely discussed as being a 666 symbol.





The stylized letter “M” in the Monster logo is comprised of three repeated elements that bear an uncanny resemblance to the Hebrew letter Vav which carries the numeric value of 6. Thus the three Hebrew characters can be viewed as 666. When one adds to this the slogan adopted by Monster which states “Unleash the Beast!,” it is not hard to imagine that the 666 connection is intentional.

It should also be noted that Monster did not sponsor American Pharoah during the first two races of the Triple Crown. The third and final race will be held this Saturday, June 6th, 2015 which some people also view as a 666 date. It is the 6th day of the 6th month, and the digits of the year number 15 also add up to 6. 6/6/15(6)

We won’t have long to find out if American Pharoah is the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years. The last horse to win all three legs of the Triple Crown was Affirmed in 1978. The last 36 years of horse racing have failed to produce a Triple Crown winner. This is an unusually long dry spell for this achievement. The number 36 is itself an interesting number. It is the multiple of 6 times 6. Also, if you add up all the numbers from 1 to 36 their sum is 666.

Is there a message being proclaimed that it is time to “Release the Beast”? It seems significant that the Pope will be visiting Washington in September on very significant dates. In a previous post I quoted the author of the RedefiningGod website. Note the mention of the word “Crown” in what was cited.

September 22: The Pope will arrive in Washington, D.C. to covertly and symbolically remove the crown of world leadership from the US for its transfer to the UN. He will arrive in the evening to signify the end of “America’s Day,” and the Fall Equinox will occur during that night. So when the Pope visits Obama on the 23rd, this can be said: “The Fall (of the ‘American Empire’) begins the day the Pope visits the White House.” He will also speak before a joint session of Congress that day.

Why is it significant that he arrives on the 22nd? “22? is a Masonic “Master Number” and “because of its great power, the number 22 may result in outstanding ascendancy or disastrous downfall,” according to the numerologically-inclined. Here is the Pope’s itinerary.

September 25: On the third day after his arrival in Washington, the Pope will speak before the United Nations to covertly and symbolically crown it with world leadership…

The Pope’s speech will take place on the first day of the September 25-27 United Nations Summit to Adopt the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Following the meeting, we’re likely to see the globalists quickly implementing all the policies they’ve been telegraphing in recent times. There is additional significance to these dates. Yom Kippur begins the evening of September 22nd. Five days later is the first day of Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles. This is a seven day Feast. This Sukkot there will be the final blood moon lunar eclipse of a Tetrad which has occurred in a two year span, each eclipse falling on a Hebrew Feast day.




The Pope’s visit is also an anomaly in that it will be the first time ever that the leader of the Roman Catholic Church will address both houses of Congress. We are living in a time when unprecedented events are happening. Let us be alert and sober.

Investors Start To Panic As A Global Bond Market Crash Begins

Is the financial collapse that so many are expecting in the second half of 2015 already starting?  Many have believed that we would see bonds crash before the stock market crashes, and that is precisely what is happening right now.  Since mid-April, the yield on 10 year German bonds has shot up from 0.05 percent to 0.89 percent.  But much of that jump has come this week.  Just a couple of days ago, the yield on 10 year German bonds was sitting at just 0.54 percent.  And it isn’t just Germany – bond yields are going crazy all over Europe.  So far, it is being estimated that global investors have lost more than half a trillion dollars, and there is much more room for these bonds to fall.  In the end, the overall losses could be well into the trillionseven before the stock market collapses.

I know that for most average Americans, talk about “bond yields” is rather boring.  But it is important to understand these things, because we could very well be looking at the beginning of the next great financial crisis.  The following is an excerpt from an article by Wolf Richter in which he details the unprecedented carnage that we have witnessed over the past few days…

On Tuesday, ahead of the ECB’s policy announcement today, German Bunds sagged, and the 10-year yield soared from 0.54% to 0.72%, drawing a squiggly diagonal line across the chart. In just one day, yield increased by one-third!

Makes you wonder to which well-connected hedge funds the ECB had once again leaked its policy statement and the all-important speech by ECB President Mario Draghi that the rest of us got see today.

And today, the German 10-year yield jump to 0.89%, the highest since October last year. From the low in mid-April of 0.05% to today’s 0.89% in just seven weeks! Bond prices, in turn, have plunged!  This is the definition of a “rout.”

Other euro sovereign bonds have gone through a similar rout, with the Spanish 10-year yield soaring from 1.05% in March to 2.07% today, and the Italian 10-year yields jumping from a low in March of 1.03% to 2.17% now.

What this means is that the central banks are losing control.

In particular, the European Central Bank has been trying very hard to force yields down, and now the exact opposite is happening.

This is very bad news for a global financial system that is absolutely teeming with red ink.  Since the last financial crisis, our planet has been on the greatest debt binge of all time.  If we are moving into a time of higher interest rates, that is going to cause enormous problems.  Unfortunately, CNBC says that is precisely where things are headed…

The wild breakout in German yields is rocking global debt markets, and giving investors an early glimpse of the uneasy future for bonds in a world of higher interest rates.

The shakeout also carries a message for corporate bond investors, who have snapped up a record level of new issuance this year, and are now seeing negative total returns in the secondary market for the first time this year.

So why is this happening?

Why are bond yields going crazy?

According to the Wall Street Journal, financial regulators in Europe are blaming the ECB’s quantitative easing program…

A recent surge in government bond market volatility can be blamed on the quantitative easing program of the European Central Bank, according to one of Europe’s top financial regulators.

EIOPA, the body responsible for regulating insurers and pension funds in the European Union, has warned that the ECB’s decision to buy billions of euros’ worth of sovereign bonds, to kick-start the region’s economy, has caused markets to become choppier.

And actually this is what should be happening.  When central banks start creating money out of thin air and pumping it into the markets, investors should rationally demand a higher return on their money.  This didn’t really happen when the Federal Reserve tried quantitative easing, so the Europeans thought that they might as well try to get away with it too.  Unfortunately for them, investors are starting to catch up with the scam.

So what happens next?

Well, European bond yields are probably going to keep heading higher over the coming weeks and months.  This will especially be true if the Greek crisis continues to escalate.  And unfortunately for Europe, that appears to be exactly what is happening…

Greece will not make a June 5 repayment to the International Monetary Fund if there is no prospect of an aid-for-reforms deal with its international creditors soon, the spokesman for the ruling Syriza party’s lawmakers said on Wednesday.

The payment of 300 million euros ($335 million) is the first of four this month totaling 1.6 billion euros from a country that depends on foreign aid to stay afloat.

Greece owes a total of about 320 billion euros, of which about 65 percent to euro zone governments and the IMF, and about 8.7 percent to the European Central Bank.

On Tuesday, Greece’s creditors drafted the broad outlines of an agreement to put to the leftist government in Athens in a bid to conclude four months of negotiations and release aid before the country runs out of money.

“If there is no prospect of a deal by Friday or Monday, I don’t know by when exactly, we will not pay,” Nikos Filis told Mega TV.

In fact, there are reports that both the ECB and the Greek government are talking about Greece going to a “parallel domestic currency”…

Biagio Bossone and Marco Cattaneo write that according to several recent media reports, both the Greek government and the ECB are taking into consideration the possibility (for Greece) to issue a parallel domestic currency to pay for government expenditures, including civil servant salaries, pensions, etc. This could happen in the coming weeks as Greece faces a severe shortage of euros. A new domestic currency would help make payments to public employees and pensioners while freeing up the euros needed to pay out creditors.

If Greece defaults and starts using another currency, the value of the euro is going to absolutely plummet and bond yields all over the continent are going to start heading into the stratosphere.

That is why it is so important to keep an eye on what is going on in Greece.

But no matter what happens in Greece, it appears that we are moving into a time when there will be higher interest rates around the world.  And since 505 trillion dollars in derivatives are directly tied to interest rate levels, that could lead to a financial unraveling unlike anything that we have ever seen before in the history of our planet.

As I have warned about so many times before, 2008 was just the warm up act.

The main event is still coming, and it is going to be extraordinarily painful.

ISIS COULD TRANSPORT NUKE FROM NIGERIA INTO U.S. THROUGH MEXICO

The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), in the latest edition of its propaganda magazine, indicated that it could purchase a nuclear weapon in Pakistan, take it to Nigeria, and then smuggle it into the U.S. through Mexico by using existing trafficking networks in Latin America.

In an op-ed article published in the ninth edition of ISIS’ Dabiq magazine released in late May, the jihadist group claims it could transport a nuclear device in the same way illicit drugs are smuggled into Europe through West Africa, adding that Boko Haram’s presence in Nigeria could facilitate the transaction.

The Nigeria-based Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, pledged allegiance to ISIS in March.

In March, Gen. John Kelly, commander of U.S. Southern Command (Southcom), warned that Islamic terrorist groups such as ISIS could exploit the capabilities and knowledge of Latin American smuggling networks to infiltrate the U.S. through Mexico and possibly bring in weapons of mass destruction.

The general, in October 2014, acknowledged that illegal drugs from South America move “through West Africa, up the Maghreb and into Western Europe,” adding that ISIS enemy al Qaeda and its affiliates take “a lot of money to allow it to flow.”

According to the alleged author of the Dabiq op-ed article, kidnapped British photojournalist John Cantlie, ISIS could smuggle a nuke into the U.S. by using the same route and reversing the flow— moving the nuke from West Africa into South America, from where it could be transported into the United States through Mexico.

“Let me throw a hypothetical operation onto the table,” Cantlie wrote in the article entitled “The Perfect Storm.” “The Islamic State has billions of dollars in the bank, so they call on their wilāyah [province] in Pakistan to purchase a nuclear device through weapons dealers with links to corrupt officials in the region.” He addded:

The weapon is then transported over land until it makes it to Libya, where the mujāhidīn [fighters] move it south to Nigeria. Drug shipments from Columbia bound for Europe pass through West Africa, so moving other types of contraband from East to West is just as possible.The nuke and accompanying mujāhidīn arrive on the shorelines of South America and are transported through the porous borders of Central America before arriving in Mexico and up to the border with the United States.

“From there it’s just a quick hop through a smuggling tunnel and hey presto, they’re mingling with another 12 million ‘illegal’ aliens in America with a nuclear bomb in the trunk of their car,” he also wrote.

Tehran expected to invoke defense pact for large-scale troop deployment to Syria

Reliable sources in Tehran expected the Iranian government to invoke its 2006 mutual defense pact with Syria “in the coming hours” for the transfer of Iranian troops to Syria - most likely by air. This was reported byDEBKAfile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources. It would be Tehran’s first direct military intervention in the Syria conflict as it goes into its fifth year. Bashar Assad’s regime and the Syrian and Hizballah armies are collapsing under the twin assaults of the Islamic State and the armed Syrian opposition forces and in need of urgent life support.

The possibility of invoking the Iranian-Syrian mutual defense pact for saving the Assad regime was first raised in a DEBKAfile article on May 30.
Tehran was persuaded that, without direct intervention, its ally would go under at any moment Thursday when Islamic State forces broke through Syrian army defenses to the northern Syrian Kurdish town of Hasakeh, which sits on the Syrian-Iraqi-Turkish border junction. Towards evening, the Islamists had come to within one kilometer of the strategic town and captured its power station. Its defenders, the Syrian army’s 52nd Division, were falling apart under the ISIS assault; some of the soldiers making a run for it.

Although the town is ruled by a coalition of central government and local Kurds, there was no operational coordination between the Syrian and Kurdish forces defending the town against the common enemy.

If ISIS manages to take Hasakeh, it would chalk up its third major victory in a couple of weeks after capturing Palmyra in Syria and the Iraqi town of Ramadi. Its fall would provide the Islamists with an open route across northern Syria to northern Iraq and strengthen their grip on Mosul, their Iraqi capital.

It would also count as a major setback for the United States, whose air strikes in support of Hasakeh’s Kurdish defenders failed to stall the Islamist advance.

In the southern sector too, Syrian troops of the 68th and 13th divisions defending Deraa are reported to have laid down arms and fled under the massive onslaught of the opposition Army of Conquest coalition.

Tehran’s final decision about sending a substantial Iranian force to Syria is awaited in the coming hours. This intention was strongly intimated in the last 48 hours by Adm. Ali Shamkhani, head of Iran’s National Security Council, and Gen. Qassem Soleimani, supreme commander of Iran’s Middle East operations. Both announced that dramatic events for Syria are to be expected in the coming days.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is weighing a range of aggressive responses to Russia's alleged violation of a Cold War-era nuclear treaty, including deploying land-based missiles in Europe that could pre-emptively destroy the Russian weapons.

This "counterforce" option is among possibilities the administration is considering as it reviews its entire policy toward Russia in light of Moscow's military intervention in Ukraine, its annexation of Crimea and other actions the U.S. deems confrontational in Europe and beyond.

The options go so far as one implied — but not stated explicitly — that would improve the ability of U.S. nuclear weapons to destroy military targets on Russian territory.

It all has a certain Cold War ring, even if the White House ultimately decides to continue tolerating Russia's alleged flight-testing of a ground-launched cruise missile with a range prohibited by the treaty.

Russia denies violating the treaty and has, in turn, claimed violations by the United States in erecting missile defenses.

It is unclear whether Russia has actually deployed the suspect missile or whether Washington would make any military move if the Russians stopped short of deployment. For now, administration officials say they prefer to continue trying to talk Moscow into treaty compliance.

In public, administration officials have used obscure terms like "counterforce" and "countervailing strike capabilities" to describe two of its military response options, apparently hoping to buy time for diplomacy.

The Pentagon declined to make a senior defense policy official available to discuss the issue. A spokesman, Lt. Col. Joe Sowers, said, "All the options under consideration are designed to ensure that Russia gains no significant military advantage from their violation."

At his Senate confirmation hearing in February, Defense Secretary Ash Carter noted his concern about Russia's alleged violation of the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces, or INF, treaty. He said disregard for treaty limitations was a "two-way street" opening the way for the U.S. to respond in kind.

The standoff speaks volumes about the depths to which U.S.-Russia relations have fallen. And that poses problems not only for the Obama administration but also for the NATO alliance, whose members in eastern Europe are especially leery of allowing Russian provocations to go unanswered.

Western leaders are meeting Sunday and Monday for a G-7 summit — from which Russian President Vladimir Putin has been excluded — where Russian aggression will be a key topic. On Friday, Carter plans to meet in Germany with American defense and diplomatic officials to map out a counterstrategy to Russia's military intervention in Ukraine and to reassure allies worried about Moscow. The treaty issue is not a specific agenda item for Carter, but aides said regional nuclear force issues could come up.

The U.S. and its Western partners have tried to use economic and diplomatic leverage against Putin on a range of conflicts, including Ukraine. But they also recognize that Moscow still plays an important role in international affairs, including the nuclear talks with Iran that are among President Barack Obama's highest foreign policy priorities.

The administration is considering three options for responding militarily to Russian missile treaty violations: defenses to stop a treaty-violating missile, the "counterforce" option to attack a missile preemptively and the "countervailing strike capabilities" option that implies the potential use of nuclear forces.

One of Carter's nuclear policy aides, Robert Scher, testified in April that "counterforce" means "we could go about and actually attack that missile where it is in Russia." Another Pentagon official, Brian McKeon, testified in December that this option involved potential deployment in Europe of ground-launched cruise missiles.

Scher said another option would involve "not simply attacking" the Russian missile but seeing "what things we can hold at risk within Russia itself." Hans Kristensen, a nuclear weapons expert at the Federation of American Scientists, said this could mean further improving the ability of U.S. nuclear or conventional forces to destroy Russian military targets in addition to missiles deemed to violate the INF treaty.

Kristensen said the public discussion of these options amounts to "one hell of a gamble" that Putin will back down on INF.

The Obama administration has been relatively gentle in poking Moscow publicly on the INF issue. The State Department's top arms control official, Rose Gottemoeller, has called the alleged Russian violations a "very grave concern." In December she argued against declaring the treaty dead, saying America's allies also are opposed to that approach.

The State Department said last July that Russia had tested a missile in violation of the treaty, which bans indefinitely the possession, production and flight-testing of missiles — both nuclear and conventional — with ranges between 500 and 5,500 kilometers (310 and 3,410 miles)..

The administration has not said whether it believes the Russian missile is nuclear or conventional. But Carter said, in responses for his confirmation hearing, "Russia's INF treaty violation is consistent with its strategy of relying on nuclear weapons to offset U.S. and NATO conventional superiority."

Much about the subject is classified, including a Pentagon assessment of the threat posed by Russian violations.

The Associated Press was given an unclassified portion of a report written by the office of Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that examines weapons the U.S. could develop and deploy if freed from INF treaty constraints.

It identified four such weapons that "could assist in closing ... a capability gap."

Among the four are ground-launched cruise missiles deployed in Europe or Asia, and ground-launched intermediate-range ballistic missiles equipped with technology that adjusts the trajectory of a warhead after it re-enters Earth's atmosphere and heads for its target.

The prospect of returning U.S. medium-range missiles to Europe recalls some of the darker days of the Cold War when Washington's NATO allies hosted U.S. ground-launched cruise missiles and Pershing 2 ballistic missiles, countering Soviet SS-20 missiles. The U.S.-NATO response prompted a Europe-wide protest movement, followed by U.S.-Soviet negotiations leading to the INF treaty, the first to ban an entire class of missile.
