The Five Factors Needed to Enslave a Nation

“America, the most free nation on earth? Terrorists hates us because of our freedom”?  Really? I can barely type these words without laughing hysterically. America has descended rapidly on the path of being a police state and we have been in political free fall since September 11, 2001.

I am not going to lie to you America, our country and its values, its economy and the forces that control our country are not what the average American want to see. Liberty has taken a backseat to tyranny. However, I believe that freedom is often the result of the space between the prison bars that we create for ourselves on an individual level. Yet, there are five variables that a super elite must control in order to subjugate a nation and its people. The five variables are the media, the rules governing economics, social standards, the political system and the military. This article briefly analyzes the control the super elite have over each of these four areas.

The Media

Six corporations control 98% of the media. These same six corporations virtually control everything that most people see, hear and subsequently believe. The CNN’s and FOX networks have successfully turned the majority of our people into sheep who are willing to accept any form of dictatorship so long as it is endorsed and glorified by the news media.

There is, however, a steadily growing group of Americans who have taken off their blinders and who are slowly but surely waking up to the growing tyranny which is dominating our country.

Amazingly, only two percent of the media broadcasts the message of freedom. The growth of the patriot movement is largely due to just two percent of the media which is not corporate owned by corporations such as Gannett Broadcasting and Clear Channel Communications. The chances are that you are reading this article on one of the venues which are free to tell you the truth which subsequently states that every aspect of your society is controlled by the Rockefeller/Rothschild banking empire.

If the super elite controls 98% of the media outlets, they control the narrative. However, David is beginning to defeat Goliath. The 98% majority is beginning to lose the battle with the two percent. Because of the threat to the establishment, don’t look for the alternative media to be around much longer.

Even if the mainstream media absorbs the alternative media, we are still free to interact with like-minded people, at least for the time being. The encroachment of NSA spying into our daily lives, which monitor our every communication, is very troublesome. But for now, we the people control the final narrative.

Social Factors

The majority of Americans still believe in hard work, their religion and traditional family values which honors the sanctity of marriage as defined in the Bible. Through the control of the media and an increasing control of the government, Americans are being forced into glorifying every form behavior, previously considered to be perverse and the traditional values of the American family are under attack by the media, Child Protective Services and the education system.

I used to be considered a social liberal. I am responsible for my life and my life alone. I have too many flaws for myself to worry about the religious, social and sexual preference beliefs of my neighbors. So long as nobody was violating my rights, I could care less what lifestyle someone embraces because we all will answer to God on the some fateful day.  But because I am a white, Christian, heterosexual male  who is the leader of my family and I teach Christian values to my son, I am attacked as an intolerant bigot, where only a few years ago, I was considered to be a social liberal by those who knew me. My sacred beliefs are subject to criticism. We now live in a society that is being ruled by the extreme minority and we are being forced to comply with the intolerant dictates of the social elite.  And I, the former social liberal, who never advocated for discrimination against anyone, is experiencing discrimination from those who used to beg for acceptance and equality. Welcome to a fundamentally transformed America.  At this rate, the new America will drive all Christians into the closet formerly occupied by those with alternative lifestyles. I truly believe that the renewal of the persecution of the Christians is just around the corner.

Yet, at the end of the day, nobody can control how we raise our children. Nobody can ever control the values that a family holds dear, while respecting each person to make their own choices. This freedom is due to the fact that nobody controls what you think, at least not yet.

Economics

From the period of 1800-1913, a dollar was still worth a dollar. After the inception of the Federal Reserve, the relative wealth of the dollar has been eroded by 97%. What a dollar could buy 100 years ago, can buy three cents worth today.

One unelected entity controls the nation’s banks, The Federal Reserve. The same people control all governmental legislation for all economic policies including the Stock Market. When the super elite get caught with their proverbial hand in the cookie jar and suffer major economic losses, they simply steal from the people and call it a bail-out. As a result, we have had the bail-out, the son of bail-out and the grandson of the bail-outs.

This same super elite outlaw all competing forms of economic exchange except for the very one that they control, the soon-to-be fiat currency called the dollar. Yes, the dollar will soon be a fiat currency as Russia, China and India are purchasing Iranian oil in gold and bypassing the dollar as the only medium of exchange (i.e. the Petrodollar). This will lead to war that will be started by a false flag provocation and the Syrians and the Iranians will be blamed. The war will follow the imposition of martial law at home following a series of domestic false flag attacks designed to eliminate all citizen opposition to the coming conflict.

Americans do still have the power to collapse the globalist system of economics by refusing to participate in the system. I have repeatedly called for not shopping at multinational chain stores such as Walmart, which now employs a new security force, Securitas (i.e. the SS) who harasses nonthreatening shoppers. We could grow our own food, shop local and trade and barter and there would not be a darn thing the super elite could do about it. Most Americans, because of the corporate controlled media are unaware of their options in this area. One caveat, if we ever let the FDA get control over all food as they are trying to presently accomplish, it will be game over. If this ever happens you will be living in the Ukraine, under Stalin, as he starved to death millions of Ukrainians who wanted freedom.

The Military

If the super elite have made serious miscalculations on the path towards establishing a New World Order, the handling of the American military is a prime example. Why do you think it was announced this week that America’s military is being downsized to a pre-World War II level. This is, no doubt, because the military cannot be trusted to do the bidding of the super elite.

For decades, our brave men and women in uniform have been used to fight banker wars of occupation. The exploitation of the service people is growing daily. An average of 22 veterans are committing suicide on a daily basis. The government is trying to disarm the veterans in anticipation of what is coming. Obama is trying to unseat the command structure of the military through the firing of over 260 senior command military officers. Obama is trying to gain total and absolute control over the nuclear arsenal, but has been unable to do so to date. Obama will never get total control over the military because they know what he stands for.

At the end of the day, our military will prove to be the shining beacon of freedom against the total imposition of tyranny on our soil spearheaded by foreign United Nations mercenaries. However, without the popular support of the people, any military insurgency is doomed to fail. If we fail to wakeup more American people, the military will prove to be an asset as worthless as the dollar will soon be. All mediums of value must have backing and the military is no different.

The Government

The NDAA, Executive Order 13603, the Patriot Act, NSA spying, the use of the election fixing electronic voting machines, force feeding us GMO’s, the murders of Michael Hastings and Andrew Breitbart, the completely controlled Democrats and Republicans by the forces of the Rockefeller/Rothschild banking cartel as well as the revealed existence of the new martial law Internment/Resettlement policies are all shining examples of the absolute police state that is being imposed in this country against the will of the people.

Some Americans still have a sense of resilience. When the controlled Democrats (e.g. Dianne Feinstein) and the Republicans (e.g. John McCain) continued America on the path of destroying our civil liberties, American started alternative political parties which preserve the voice of the people to some degree.  Almost five years ago to the day, the Tea Party was born. In today’s environment, the Libertarians are being heard.    I am not a big believer in the political process, given today’s environment. However, this is one avenue that can be used to galvanize the people. There is a movement within the federal government which threatens to take away the political voice of the people. If we lose this voice, we will lose the rallying point needed to support our military should they ever stand against the encroaching tyranny.

America, you need to pay close attention to this development. The IRS is trying to silence millions of Tea Partiers and third party candidates by destroying free speech rights. If these regulations are allowed to stand, Americans will be forever silenced.

Please keep in mind that the following regulations only apply to third parties, grassroots groups and the Tea Party. These regulations will make it illegal to:

1.   Mention a candidate up for re-election within 60 days of an election. That includes every single member of the House of Representatives. Effectively, you will not be able to petition your own elected representatives.

2.   The aforementioned groups will not be allowed to register voters. Does this put anyone else in the mind of the old Jim Crow laws which were designed to prevent the registration of African-Americans.

3.   Call for the election or defeat of a political candidate. This will effectively eliminate all recall provisions in State Constitutions.

4.   Hold candidate forums so voters can decide who would best represent them. In other words, primary election activities for third party candidates would be prohibited. This provision would cut the proverbial legs out from under any political party or movement.

The IRS is trying to silence millions of American voters. They’re trying to pass new regulations that will destroy our free speech rights and this constitutes a complete end run around Congress and ultimately the Constitution.

Conclusion

Much of the tyranny being imposed on America can be opposed at an individual level. However, with each passing day, it will become more decidedly difficult to exercise personal freedom. It is time to take a stand and that stand should be in opposition to the de facto outlawing of third political parties which are outside the control of the super elite.

What Is It Like Living In a Police State?

We no longer have to ask foreign refugees what it is like living inside a police state. All we have to do is to read the daily accounts of innocent Americans being abused and murdered through the excessive use of force being used by local police who have been federalized by the Department of Homeland Security.

What used to be the beacon of hope, has rapidly become the spotlight of tyranny. I am speaking of America, both then and now.

When heinous acts of physical abuse were revealed in American prisons inside of Iraq, we should have considered that someday the same treatment would await American citizens. When we permitted our government the right to detain “terrorists” in Guantanamo without following the due process of law, shouldn’t we have realized that someday the same treatment would await you and me? And now that treatment is here. It is called the NDAA and the Executive Order 13603 which allows the government carte blanche to do what they will with American citizens without following the due process of law.

What follows in this article are both typical and daily examples of how a DHS federalized local police force will act like Stalin’s KGB and abuse its citizens. Acts of police brutality against American citizens is a daily event which takes place multiple times across our country. Not a day goes by do we not see the unjustified use of deadly force used against innocent citizens and the perpetrators of this state-sponsored violence are rarely, if ever, brought justice.

Finally, this article will compare the evolving genocide being perpetrated against Venezuelan protesters to what recently released military documents state are in store for future American protesters. The parallels are exceptionally disturbing.

Unwarranted Search and Seizure

Why are the police obsessed with taking our DNA while stopping us for the most petty of traffic offenses?  Twenty-six states and the federal government allow genetic swabs to be taken after a felony arrest and without a warrant. Each has different procedures, but in all cases, only a profile is created. About 13 individual markers of some 3 billion are isolated from a suspect’s DNA. And of course, the Obama administration is in favor of seemingly everything, including the taking of our DNA without a warrant.

Is the government doing this because they can, or because they have something nefarious planned for our future with regard to the misuse of our DNA?

Can anyone make some sense out of this Fourth Amendment violation?

The Unwarranted Abuse of Police Power

The following cases are occurring on a daily basis multiple times.

Consider what Chicago is doing with a two million dollar grant from the National Institute of Justice. The list was constructed from predictive schema of 400 people mostly likely to commit a crime and one does not have to have a criminal record to make the list.

Also in Chicago, and in a case of “I’ve got low friends in high places”, former Chicago police Superintendant, Jody Weis, who ordered the 2011 re-investigation of David Koschman’s death, recently stated that he’s concerned that high-ranking cops apparently fabricated a self-defense claim to avoid charging a nephew of Mayor Richard M. Daley with murder.

Art Acevedo

In Austin, Texas, the police arrest a female jogger, physically brutalize her for not carrying an ID and then their police chief, Art Acevedo defends the practice in public.

In Oklahoma City, it is worse. Luis Rodriguez, 44, goes to the movies and is murdered by the police for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The family is suing, but that won’;t bring back Luis.

 In Tennessee, even when you prove you are innocent of DUI, you are still guilty in a country where the DHS federalized police are judge, jury and executioner. The Tennessee Supreme Court decided last Thursday that the only use for roadside sobriety tests is to collect evidence against motorists, using them to convict individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI). The high court justices overturned an appellate decision from 2012 that found a driver who passed six of the tests and should never have been arrested(view 2012 ruling). David D. Bell was arrested on May 13, 2009, even though the trial judge found no evidence of impairment in the sobriety tests when he reviewed the dashcam footage. This is a case of you are guilty because “we say you are”.

The above accounts are representative of reports of police state abuse of innocent citizens. You are no longer protected by the Constitution. You have no rights. And in what is, perhaps, the most disturbing outgrowth of this decent into tyranny, has to do with what the government plans to do with protesters.

Venezuela Is a Laboratory for Emerging Genocide.

Government forces in Venezuela are summarily executing its citizens from motorcycles. Authorities are also breaking down doors of apartment buildings and murdering “suspected” protesters. Protesters are being murdered by the Venezuelan government without trial.
Some citizens, who are luckier than most are simply being arrested for “suspicion” of protest.  Last week, government opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez surrendered to authorities. He is charged with inciting violence and opposition to the government. His arrest led to even more protesting. Venezuelan citizen, Gauber Venot, stated ” It’s important we have foreign media here. Our media is censored; we learn about our own country from outside sources.”  So is ours Mr. Venot, so is ours.

Of course, this is Venezuela and this could never happen in America. Perhaps one might want to revise this consideration in light of recently released American military documents.

I think the public has a right to know how its government plans to handle future protests. Is America the new Venezuela?  A previously secret document which was leaked online; entitled FM 3-39.40 Internment and Resettlement Operations (PDF).

RIOT FORMATIONS

H-42. Quick-reaction force teams should be established with a minimum response time. Because of the physical nature of riot control, individuals in riot control formations should not carry rifles. Nonlethal attachments should follow closely behind the riot control formation. Lethal coverage must be provided for this entire formation. (See FM 3-22.40.)

DESIGNATED MARKSMEN

H-43. During a nonlethal engagement, the use of designated marksmen provides confidence and safety to those facing a riot. If a lethal threat is presented, the designated marksmen in overwatch positions (armed with appropriate sniper weapons mounted with high-powered scopes) can scan a crowd and identify agitators and riot leaders for apprehension and fire lethal rounds if warranted. Additionally, they are ideally suited for flank security and countersniper operations. (See FM 3-22.40.).

I am hard pressed to make this comparison any more clear. The parallels speak clearly for themselves.

Conclusion

What is the difference between Venezuela and America? The short answer is that there is no difference. America is well on its way to being a full-fledged police state. However, that is not the most disturbing thing. The most disturbing outgrowth of living in Police State America, is that we are passively accepting this abuse.

Biometric scanners that can identify people are poised for big growth in building security

Knickerbocker Village on the Lower East Side is one of the first places in the city to install FST21.

There’s a scene in “Minority Report” where Tom Cruise gets retina transplants so he can sneak by security scanners all over the city of the future.

That city of the future has already arrived in New York — but it’ll take a whole lot more than a new pair of peepers to trick this setup.

An Israeli general is at work on a “biometric security” system that he believes will have New Yorkers tossing out their keys and maybe ditching their doormen, too.

Using sophisticated scanners that can recognize a person’s face, voice, build and stride, the system can unlock your door in under two seconds. Any strangers not in the database will be denied access.
“This is only the beginning,” says General Aharon Farkash, the founder and president of the firm FST21. “This is the way people will enter buildings in the 21st century.”

To help establish FST21 in the states, Farkash opened a North American office earlier this month at 7 World Trade Center. Should you drop by, you’ll be greeted by one of its security devices. But unless he’s beamed a code to your phone or you work there already, there’s no convincing the small 8-inch scanner to let you in.

The device looks simple on the outside, and in practice it is, essentially turning everyone into a human-size key.

“Just like a fingerprint, we all look and act in a unique way,” Farkash says.

“Biometric” technology has been around since the 1970s, and is often seen in thumb-print readers and retinal scanners. But thanks to less-invasive techniques, biometrics is starting to take off.

“People have been talking about this for decades as the future, but I think the technology is finally good enough and invisible enough that people will start to embrace it,” says Robert McCrie, a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the former director of the school’s Security Management Institute.

McCrie estimates as many as 50 startups are chasing the biometric security business, though FST21 is one of the few currently pursuing residential applications. Commercial installations are more common. For example, Citibank has been experimenting with biometric recognition to reduce the number of security guards at some branches.

McCrie also points to the iPhone’s new thumb pads as a sign people are comfortable, even cool, with biometrics.

“Thumb scanners used to freak people out, because they thought they were having their fingerprints taken,” McCrie says. “Now it’s the cutting edge because Apple’s doing it.”

Farkash points out that his system doesn’t try to find bad guys and flag them, but rather identifies the good guys and lets them pass through busy lobbies or secluded household doorways.
Users basically make a few turns in front of a special camera, which captures their face, voice and movement. Those details then get stored in a database.

Have a guest coming over? No problem. Just enter them into the system, which sends them a special QR code (those new square bar codes). They simply hold a smartphone to the FST21 reader and the door unlocks.

Farkash says he was inspired to create his company after retiring from the head of Israel’s Directorate of Military Intelligence, basically the country’s NSA, in 2006. He had held the job since 2001, and his tenure coincided with the Second Intifada, when thousands of Palestinians and Israelis died in street fights, riots, suicide bombings and military engagements.

Farkash believes the rise of terrorism, personal technology and growing urbanization will converge to make systems like his a necessity of modern life.

“Cities are crowded, often dangerous places, with the gap between rich and poor growing,” Farkash says. “We need a way to live safely but also comfortably next door to one another.”

For those worried about privacy as well as security, Farkash stresses that the system is self-contained, so it is impossible to hack from outside. It also stores no data of users coming and going beyond two weeks.

“I was the Israeli NSA, so I can tell you I know privacy, and the best effort is being made to keep things private,” Farkash says.

Beyond safety, the system’s selling point is its simplicity.

“You have to find a way to have security with convenience, or else people won’t want to use it, and then they won’t be safe,” he says.


FST21 uses facial, voice and movement recognition to ID people.

FST21 is far from ubiquitous, but it does seem to be catching on.

The first two installations launched in 2009, a W hotel-condo in Tel Aviv and a Jewish girls day school in Los Angeles.

“The school has had more than 800 identifications a day for three years without a single problem,” Farkash says.

Since then, FST21 has expanded to almost 40 locations, including hubs like Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport and an apartment building in Cameroon. At São Paolo’s newest soccer stadium, VIPs and season ticket holders will soon be programmed into the system to skip ticket and security lines.

In New York locales, including affordable housing complexes like Knickerbocker Village on the Lower East Side and Taino Towers in East Harlem, complaints about intruders have fallen by half. In addition to the 7 World Trade Center installation, a few offices at 1166 Sixth Ave. also features the system.

For individual homeowners, it offers the convenience — and cool factor — of not having to fumble for the keys anymore, especially with the kids and groceries in hand. For condo and co-op boards, it could mean serious savings.

“It’s much cheaper than a doorman,” Farkash says. “To have 24-seven coverage, that’s four shifts a day, at least $250,000 a year. Our system is 70% less to install, and 90% less to maintain each year after that.”

If it sounds weird, Farkash simply says, “Wait.”

“Remember the first Motorola phones were huge and hugely expensive; only the wealthiest people had them,” Farkash says. “Now everyone’s got one in their pocket. We want to do the same thing to your door.”

City doormen and security guards have a different reaction.

“We provide way more services than just screening visitors,” says Enrique Calo, a doorman with 29 years of experience who works on the Upper West Side. “We hail cabs, we shovel snow, we hold packages; we’ll even watch the kids while you run out to the bodega.

“I’d like to see a computer do that,” he added.

Russia Prepares for Naval Drills with China, India, ASEAN

VLADIVOSTOK, February 26 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s Pacific Fleet in the next six months will take part in three large-scale international naval exercises, including joint drills with the navies of India, China and member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the fleet’s spokesman said Wednesday.

According to Capt. 1st Rank Roman Martov, Russia and India are holding talks on preparation for INDRA-2014 naval exercises scheduled to be held in the Sea of Japan in summer.

Martov said the drills will start with a visit of a group of Indian warships to Russia’s far-eastern port of Vladivostok in July.

Since 2003, India and Russia have conducted seven large exercises under the so-called INDRA series of joint ground and naval drills. The last such exercise was held between Russian and Indian army units in October at India’s Mahajan field firing range.

In 2011, Russia canceled joint naval drills with India in the Pacific Ocean, citing the tsunami and subsequent nuclear crisis in Japan.

Boosting its military ties with China, Russia is sending warships from the Pacific Fleet to hold Maritime Cooperation-2014 joint drills with the Chinese navy in the northern part of the East China Sea in May-June, Martov said.

The active phase of the exercise will involve several simulated missions and live-firing drills against sea and air targets, he said.

In addition, a Pacific Fleet task force led by Udaloy-class destroyer Marshal Shaposhnikov will join the 2014 KOMODO multilateral joint exercise in March to improve naval cooperation capabilities in disaster relief.

The exercise will be held off the coast of Indonesia and involve all 10 country members of ASEAN plus Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and the United States.

Russia and China walk out of UN Security Council meeting after US call for immediate action in Syria

Western countries may submit to the Security Council a draft resolution that will give the green light to an armed operation in Syria

UNITED NATIONS, August 28 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian and Chinese officials walked out of the U.N. Security Council meeting in New York on Wednesday, August 28, after U.S. Permanent Representative Samantha Power had called for an immediate action in Syria.

The permanent members of the U.N. Security Council - Russia, Britain, China, the U.S. and France - had been invited to the closed meeting. An hour later the Russian and Chinese diplomats left the meeting and headed to the Security Council’s main conference room where debates on Haiti was taking place.

Western countries may, until the end of the day, submit to the Security Council a draft resolution that will give the green light to an armed operation in Syria. Russia and China, which have the right of veto in the Security Council, have spoken up strongly against the use of force.

However Western countries have made it clear that they might take measures without waiting for the U.N. Security Council’s decision as they did in 1999 in Kosovo. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said this would be a gross violation of international law.

Meanwhile, Syria has asked the U.N. to investigate three chemical attacks carried out by rebels in the suburbs of Damascus on August 22, 23 and 24.

“Certain states are ready to use force even before U.N. experts make public the results of their investigation. Our country will be committed to international law,” he said. “Modern international law allows the use of force only in exceptional cases: for self-defence and if so authorised by the U.N. Security Council. Some states see priorities in a distorted way.”

Meanwhile, U.N. experts have arrived in Zamalka, an eastern suburb of the Syrian capital of Damascus, where chemical weapons were allegedly used, the Sky News television channel said.

It said the inspectors were planning to visit several settlements in the area.

In the morning, the experts left their hotel in Damascus, accompanied by six vehicles of the Syrian security forces, and headed to Al Maliha controlled by rebels.

Earlier in the day, the U.N. Secretary-General’s deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq said information about the U.N. inspectors’ route was kept secret for security reasons.

He said the U.N. Secretariat had received enough assurances from the warring sides for the experts to do their work in the area of an alleged chemical attack.

On the first day of their work on Monday, August 26, the U.N. inspectors took samples at the site of an alleged chemical attack and talked with survivor and witnesses.

“They visited two hospitals, they interviewed witnesses, survivors and doctors, they also collected some samples, Ban said.

On the way to the site of the alleged chemical attack in East Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus, a sniper opened fire at the first vehicle in the convoy, which had clearly distinctive U.N. markings. No one was injured but the experts had to return to Damascus to replace the damaged car.

The inspection team includes staff from the OPCW, which works in cooperation with the U.N., along with colleagues from the U.N. World Health Organisation (WHO).

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the OPCW Head Ahmet Uzumcu called on all parties in Syria to extend their full cooperation to the team of United Nations inspectors probing the possible use of chemical weapons.

“The work of the UN investigation team represents an impartial and objective means to establish the facts on the allegations of use in Syria,” Ban and Uzumcu noted according to a U.N. spokesperson.

They urged that the inspectors’ work be treated as “inviolable and all cooperation must be extended to the Mission that includes avoidance of hostilities by all parties.”

The team, led by Swedish scientist Ake Sellstrom, is spending up to 14 days, with a possible extension, probing the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Government at Khan al-Asal, as well as other allegations reported by Member States.

Google Glass for the Battlefield

(Wired) Walking around Silicon Valley with an augmented reality display on your face makes you a glasshole. On the battlefield, though, similar technology will soon turn U.S. soldiers into a lethal cross between the Terminator and Iron Man.

Q-Warrior, the newest version of helmet-mounted display technology from BAE Systems’ Q-Sight line, is a full-color, 3D heads-up display designed to provide soldiers in the field with rapid, real-time “situational awareness.”

With a high-resolution transparent display, Q-Warrior overlays data and a video stream over the soldier’s view of the world. Q-Warrior also includes enhanced night vision, waypoints and routing information, and the ability to identify hostile and non-hostile forces, track personnel and assets, and coordinate small unit actions.

“Q-Warrior increases the user’s situational awareness by providing the potential to display ‘eyes-out’ information to the user, including textual information, warnings and threats,” Paul Wright, the soldier systems business development lead at BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems, said in a statement. “The biggest demand, in the short term at least, will be in roles where the early adoption of situational awareness technology offers a defined advantage.”

This technology is not the stretch you might think. Specialty work-related applications for everyone from cops to doctors are increasingly considered the future of wearable computing. BAE clearly wants to be the Google of the warzone.

The display would play well with the Army Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) currently under development. TALOS is a powered exoskeleton to haul heavier equipment with liquid armor capable of stopping bullets and the ability to apply wound-sealing foam.

“[The] requirement is a comprehensive family of systems in a combat armor suit where we bring together an exoskeleton with innovative armor, displays for power monitoring, health monitoring, and integrating a weapon into that — a whole bunch of stuff that RDECOM is playing heavily in,” said Lt. Col. Karl Borjes, a U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) science adviser, in a statement.

Q-Warrior is initially expected to be deployed with Special Forces and at the section commander level, but BAE says it expects the technology to eventually reach all soldiers.

“This is likely to be within non-traditional military units with reconnaissance roles, such as Forward Air Controllers/Joint Tactical Aircraft Controllers (JTACS) or with Special Forces during counter terrorist tasks,” said Wright. ”The next level of adoption could be light role troops such as airborne forces or marines, where technical systems and aggression help to overcome their lighter equipment.”

3 Missile Corvettes to Join Russian Navy by 2016

MOSCOW, February 26 (RIA Novosti) – The Russian Navy will receive three new missile corvettes by the end of 2015, navy commander Adm. Viktor Chirkov said Wednesday.

“The navy is expecting the Veliky Ustyug corvette this year and two more warships of the same class in 2015,” Chirkov said.

The Defense Ministry has ordered a total of nine Project 21631 (Buyan-M) corvettes for the navy, with at least six vessels to be assigned to the Caspian Flotilla.

The first two Buyan-M corvettes, the Grad Sviyazhsk and the Uglich, entered service with the flotilla earlier this year, Chirkov said.

The Zelenodolsk shipyard, based in Russia’s Tatarstan Republic, began construction of the sixth corvette in the series, the Vyshny Volochek, in August last year.

A Buyan-M corvette has a displacement of 949 tons and a maximum speed of 25 knots. It is armed with Kalibr (SS-N-27) anti-ship missiles, 100-mm and 30-mm guns, as well as Igla-1M air defense missiles.
